Epic Video and line! That looks like such cool climbing, maybe I'll have to book a trip one day. Mad respect for putting in the effort to rebolt this route, this kind of work is rarely done on such big routes. And of course good job sending it yourself!
Awesome work, Bronwyn and Kelsey! By the powers of modern videography I almost feel like I got to participate in the adventure with you 😊. You have surely helped solidify the classic status of this climb. I wouldn’t be surprised if there is a line up at the base of the route when I get around to trying it!
Great climb! Congrats!!! For the records "La Popa " is the rear of the ship and not the head of it. The head of a ship is called "La proa" Just trying to help with that 5:29
Every pitch appears to have been led on a single rope, trailing a second haul/tag line. At one point on pitch #6 it looks as if the second rope is being clipped but, as becomes clear a few moments later, that is illusory.
@@andrewbowman1837 no, she complained that climbing is "male dominated". Which is a lie, since women have climbed virtually every hard route in the world and every grade except the top two. If she wants recognition she should get it fair and square like men do, by climbing, not by hating men and basing her achievements on not being a man.
Damn dude that's some strong sentiments. Saying something is male dominated doesn't equal saying being opressed by men. And she didn't talk about climbing in general but about the niche of remote wall climbing. Youre kneejerk antifeminism is making you see things that aren't there.
This is so badass!! I’m inspired to check out this wall now 😍 thanks for everything you do for the community, y’all are an inspiration 🤩

Buenísima!!! Para cuando la entrevista? Sigues en Granada?
Badass!
Did they ever manage to free climb El Gavilan? They kept talking about free climbing it but then the video just ended after they completed the climb.
It is sick to think they had to hand bolt/drill back when the fist route was being set.
so they had single AND 2 half ropes going up? Was one section more hazardous?

Epic! Why didn't you guys use normal expansion bolts?
They're 5-piece half-inch expansion bolts recomended for this type of rock by the ASCA (American Safe Climbing Association) :)
Cool 😎 totally unfamiliar with these
👏👏👏👏
I love the ending
There both true
Alex... always "no big deal." Ha!
Smooth effort. If someone could climb it on trad gear...that's a video I'd like to see
You go do it on trad gear, we will watch the video
Brounin hulkins
i want to see those tikmarks
Climbers go big on a remote wall - I'm in! Feminist whines that men are somehow oppressing her by being good at climbing? Instant switch off.
No one said anything about being oppressed by men. She said it was empowering because she was the first woman. There’s a big difference.

@@daveblack2602 You seem very upset. Overly emotional. Hysterical, even.
@@dr.badass702 so switching off a video means I'm hysterical? Can you explain how that follows?
This is awesome!
