It was so interesting and very nice to have Anna and Tom, these two super athletes staying with us. We admired their skills and were happy to have met two very nice and friendly people. We wish them all the best for the future and many beautiful climbing successes. Erika and Gottfried
People who show weakness are the strongest there are. It's not about hiding that you are scared and stressed, it's about what you create with the tension that you are able to unleash. I have nothing to do with climbing, I watch this channel for the honest and raw energy alone, that you, Anna, carry within you.
This is so beautifully put together Anna - it felt like watching a 'proper' climbing film!! Such an amazing send - you looked so calm, collected, stoic. Truly inspiring. Our Slab Queen!!!! 👑
I usually don't comment on videos, but I just wanted to tell you that the editing was really well done in my opinion. There's just something about this style of climbing and editing that helps me slow down and really focus on the video. I might be a bit biased, though, as I was happy to see my hometown appear in a video :)
Congratulations on climbing that towering climb! You show incredible skill, determination, and courage. Your ability to push through challenges and reach new heights is truly inspiring. Well done on achieving such an impressive feat, and may it be a reminder that you can overcome any obstacle with persistence and passion. Keep reaching for the summit, and keep making your climbing dreams a reality! You're a rock star!
@@bryanbryan6108 yes, but only very minor changes to the original proposed comment to include climbing terms such as towering climb, new heights and keep reaching for the summit. The sentiment is authentic.
Started watching with a smile of pure excitement, that then evolved into smiling at how cool you two are as project buddies and i ended the video with a smile of pure satisfaction and wholesomeness. Beautiful process, beautiful place, incredible rock and two of the purest characters in the climbing world. EPIC!
You are seriously a beast-can’t believe how much you’ve grown as a climber these past couple of years and a huge congrats for this mega send! You’ve also grown as a video editor. This video was awesome! Loved the vibes and the story you told!
I think your collaborations with Tom and /or Pete are so genuine & infectious...so, so good...truely inspirational to so many people. You wear your heart on your sleeve & to see you go through so many emotions on the vids is very refreshing compared to some very anodyne content on YT. Keep on doing what you're doing & don't forget that if people are offended, it is their fault & nothing to do with you.
I love this. It's great to see the background work and not just the sparkly climbing section. I'm a year and a half into climbing, mostly bouldering since that's what's available near me, and I'm fascinated by other types of climbing. All types of climbing. It's good to know how much work goes into the preparation for a trad climb so I'll have realistic expectations when I finally give it a go. Thank you for all the background footage!
Apart from the amazing red point, I am amazed with this super rounded mini docuseries. The script, the edition is super cousy and catchy, fucking CINEMA xd. I think we all thank and appreciate the love put on these videos. Looking forward to watching tones like this 👊🥰
What a beautiful film, Anna! The story, the editing, the videography, all fantastic. And an awesome send! Congratulations. Both things to be truly proud of.
Congrats on the climb. The edit and storytelling aspect was on point and thank you for showing so much more than just the climb. I find it really interesting to see just what goes into a project like this. It's fascinating seeing you with your eyes closed visualising the route it's something I'd only seen formula One drivers do and had no idea rock climbers did something similar. And thank you for allowing yourself to be vulnerable on camera not a lot of creators would have shown that side of it.
I look forward to new Anna videos in the same way i used to look forward to the next episode of pokemon as a kid! Legit psyched to see how far this journey takes the Queen of Slab-trad herself. And the Morecambe and Wise double act with Tom is always a winner! x P.S I saw you in Graves park Sheffield only a month ago haha quite rainy so were hoods were up x
Haven't even watched it yet and it already gets a like. Anna & Tom climbing legendary trad routes is an instant favorite. Edit: finished watching it and my intuition was correct. Such a joyful little film, absolutely one of the best climbing shorts that has come out recently.
Fantastic stuff, well done! Thank you as ever for sharing with us in such a well made video. Great to hear from you and Tom about the thoughts and work that goes into it.
You edited this as well as doing the climb??? That's astonishing. Like the climb was a feat in itself, but the edit is so top notch I'd fully expect it to be from an expensive hired editor. Nice work!
Awesome video and congratulations for sending this route!!! Also, I appreciate so much that you are using mediocre bicycles for getting to the crag. I wish more (pro) climbers would follow your example. As a climbing community, we need to get rid of the idea that it's absolutely crucial to use/own a car for being able to climb outdoors. It is not.
What a great experience! I´m glad for you that you made it! The story tells everything that needs for a route to be done. Even patience, good weather and the right day feeling good. Climbing is more than only checking out a route!
Had to rewatch after seeing the clip from this film on the WideBoyz channel. One of my favs of yours. Love how it shows the whole process. Warts and all.
Hey Anna, magic film. I love your commentary, acknowledging your vulnerabilities and then getting the hell on with it. You and Tom also seem to click and I don't know who is dafter or funnier, but I love you both. I have no doubt that you are two serious athletes, but you portray not taking yourselves too seriously and I really like that. I love this channel. So from Scotland, lang may yer lum reek. All the very best in your future endeavours.
It's really nice that you show a more "human" side of an athelete (even thogh you're still a beast of a climber). I feel like a lot of climbers try to hide their fears and insecurities, but we should embrace it. Congrats for the send! Also, the end where Tom speaks about how he could enjoy the process (and the trip) even without being able to do the redpoint is a good lesson that we should always remember, even though it should be obvious. Thank you two for sharing this moments with us.
this looks like such a tough and fun climb! thank you for sharing your experience, with all the highs and lows it entailed. your honesty and integrity is dearly appreciated.
Yes 😆 thank you!! I had some friends in the filmmaking world look over a draft and give me some advice which was really nice, but I’m the sole editor on this film :)
I love everything about this video - you should seriously consider sending it to some climbing film festival. Does anyone know what is the music at 2:05 (ends around 3:38)?
Just sent this to a friend of mine with the message "this chick is f***ing cool", she was on the fence on joining for a first climbing session. Inspirational stuff this!!! Love the journey 😁 keep it up, great video!
Wow, this is amazing to watch and makes me want to try out trad climbing. My wife and I have done a lot of gym bouldering and trad in a place like this would be an amazing adventure. Thank you Hannah and Tom, inspirational as always :)

Thank you so much for being such wonderful hosts!!! We had an incredible time in Austria :)
This is so wholesome 🥲
Tom's got a good genuine scared scream!
Well, it was easy to be genuine as I was flippin' scared hahaha.
Very different from the Ondra power scream!

An awesome ascent and Anna’s climbing continues to get better all the time. Tom has unleashed a beast. Quality and sheer class

I saw the ascent of Babsi Zangerl and was amazed by the route and her climbing it.
Looking forward :)
Anna this was AMAZING! Loved it, a pleasure filming and shooting with you!
Thanks for coming out and helping with the filming!! Looking forward to more projects with you in the future!!

There is something personable and vulnerable about this, which makes it seem so honest. Such a wholesome watch, I feel all gooey inside now!

I really liked the way you showed all the aspects of how to plan in a successful climb. I think your positivity helped. Great video
What an incredible short film. I loved it.
This is genuinely so inspiring, the vibes are always so good whenever you and Tom are together!!
Well done guys on a very impressive climb! What a legend Beat Kammerlander
This Film became amazing, so enjoyable to watch.

Omgomg this warms my heart!! Hope you like it 🥲
@@AnnaHazelnutt Loved It!!!!
So nice to see (well, mostly hear) a climber with so much experience still being nervous about a scary fall. Great video with great people !
the vibes are immaculate
Love these videos with backstories 👍🏻
Awesome send! I love Tom's mentality at the end.
Very well produced!! What could possibly go wrong with Anna and Tom :) Respect!

So psyched to see some of my favorite climbers come to my homecountry and try our trad routes! Love from Vienna!
This video was worth the wait! Despite the unfortunate weather, it looks like you had an amazing trip! Congrats!

Amazing video! And great insight into hard projecting! Into possibility of success, and possibility of failure! Thank you for this film!
awesome video! love the quality of the production you put in all these
So the name and the long hope for better weather is quite fitting.

Amazing work, congratulations!
Everything on that video is really awesome
I usually dont like videos with little climbing, but you put me in a good mood, thanks
This is such a cool video. I love the way it’s edited.
I really had no idea there was so much work/prep/planning involved
This is fascinating
This was inspiring, both of you pushed yourselves and each other so well.
Wow, this is amazing to watch and makes me want to try out trad climbing. My wife and I have done a lot of gym bouldering and trad in a place like this would be an amazing adventure. Thank you Hannah and Tom, inspirational as always :)
Rewatching bc I can't remember if Anna cries after the send (I get teary when she does, it's good hype) and y'know, gotta respect the queen of slab.
