the Scythe changes were phenomenal and whoever thought of those did a great job. obv the scope is smth a lot of players have been saying for a long time but especially that little bit of burn damage, no recoil, better firing intervals turned it into such a fun gun. i thought beam weapons weren't my thing but now the love for the Scythe is fighting with my love for general medium pen/high pen. Sniping 10 troopers 200m away without even trying is just crazy. or assisting a teammate on the horizon by "spraying" free and highly accurate damage ticks even before it would be feasible/economical with other guns
This is honestly one of the best tier lists I've seen (IMO) at least in terms of order the guns are arranged. I would probably place Gas grenade even higher because of the ability to toss all of them when shit hits the fan and buy some time by saturation. Good points, complete, maybe having couple hot takes would be good for youtube lol
To your point, after looking at the reprimand, The pistol grip and base of the rifle looks very reminiscent of the CZ scorpion so I'm guessing they were going for some sort of a pistol caliber carbine look with this one.
It took me a minute to realize you were talking about dispersion when you kept saying "bloom". Bloom makes sense, I guess. Ballisticians refer to it as dispersion, but idk if that's a more easily understood term or not.
Its popular to use in the context of video games, due to it being popularized by people referring to the UI reticle "blooming" as the weapon's dispersion increases with sustained fire. You often see it with the classic fps + crosshair getting wider when shooting from the hip, or just in games similar to Halo and Gears of War. Its for sure a bit weirder in helldivers since, most reticles are just a circle that bounces around more instead of "blooming" and getting bigger.
I always view "bloom" as an increased loss of precision, not related to recoil, the longer the item is activated. Since Reprimand and some of the other weapons (defender, concussive, etc) can have that stray shot on the first shot, I would not view that as bloom but just being a low precision weapon.
Ya I'm pretty sure its sped up due to these vids usually being 30+ mins, probably trying to cut it down a lot lol. He does speak pretty fast on stream but ya this is a bit much lmao
I think the Halt shotgun is definitely really good, but I like using it more of its stunning utility- especially for bots. Because as it turns out, ANY bit of damage with stun shells with stun bots. Which means that you can pepper a group of devastators and have a very highly likelihood of stunning all of them at a distance. Which at that point you could do what I like doing which is following up with a senator to get an easy one-shot headshot on them devestators
Pretty good tier list for sub 10 difficulty but in 10 I think the light pen weapons are over valued. Way to many medium armored enemies need to be killed quickly and taking the time to line up headshots on light pen weapons will usually get you killed quickly. I love all the light pen weapons you put in A tier for all the reasons you mentioned but i couldnt in good faith put them anywhere higher than B tier.
Watch arrowhead release a suprise big balance update completely rework the whole ap system in a week. In all honesty i think that light armour pen weapons need some help. Maybe making it so if you have light armour pen small ammo boxes on the map restore full ammo supply?
We need a new enemy that favours bringing light pen weapons. Something that has little to no armor but comes in swarms of large numbers mixed with bigger enemies sporting high health pools. That way the higher mag capacity and bullet damage that light pen weapons usually have over medium pens would become more relevant. Right now we have the bots (that favor medium pen) and the bugs (that can favor both, but usually require a medium pen alternative since we don't know what we'll face when we reach the surface). A third one, be the Illuminate or otherwise, should have this differential...
@Jaeger_89 that wouldn't really fix the problem. The problem is the versitility and convince. Medium weapons have an intrinsic advantage over light weapons. As long as being light armour pen doesn't offer something medium pen doesn't it will always be worse. I would suggest that the ammo economy on those weapons needs to be significantly better than on all medium pen. It used to be but the downside of mediums was reduced overtime with buffs. At release there were only a few medium weapons with significant drawbacks compared to light variants. Maybe they should make it so that light armour pen gets bonus damage against unarmoured targets. Like hallowpoint bullets that can't penetrate well but mess soft tissues up really well compared to fmj
@@Jaeger_89 I agree. They could use existing enemies by having planet effects where there is at least double spawn rate of light enemies and reduced heavies/medium. Might be hard on the servers though.
I really think the AMR and the Eruptor need a direct damage buff. I want my heavy bolt action rifles to completely dominate that single target damage category. (The Constitution is perfect, I just wish there was a way for me to hold it like a parade salute. One can dream...)
Reprimand is great in close range, but against bots its already closer than what I'm comfortable with. I prefer the Adjudicator due to better accuracy.
I'm not really sure why the Liberator is not in A. I mean it kills devastators in two headshots and approaches effectiveness of the Tenderizer but with far more ammunition, faster reloads, and a bit more recoil. Not quite as good as Diligence (1-shot rocket strider rockets), but it is highly effective and flexible. (well, I see you have Diligence in B as well, so at least we agree where they sit relative to each other. Just hard for me to see, in this game state, the Tenderizer in A and not the Diligence and Liberator). I would also probably put concussive in C tier. It has innate precision issues, a close range sight, and every shot which knocks back a target means you have to aim all over again for a head/rocket (or go for the waist if available), this results in A LOT of time for just about every enemy. I view it as about as useable as the Liberator Carbine, which is to say it is a struggle. Otherwise I like your list. Well reasoned.
This human owner is quite invasive tbh

is the video slighly sped up? or am i trippin
I don't think it's just you, the video does feel oddly out of sync
I slowed it to x0.75 speed and it sounds normal 😂
I think bro speaks really fuckin fast lol

I do the same but with the dagger. 1 stun shell and I can usually melt a group of enemies without using ammo
Flechette rounds have pretty bad spread and is not likely to get one shot one kills. Yeah, this weapond is more about the stun effects.
Against bots, accuracy or explosiveness is the name of the game.

@@Azrael178in what world are you running out of ammo with the game in it’s current state. This is literally nothing but a YOU problem

Eruptor needs something else to take over the crossbow, as of now the crossbow just feels a lot better than it
everything fine BUT THE REPERMAND IN A!?!?!!!? , this gun with a engeriring kit is way better than the adjuticator or synthe.
Reprimand is great in close range, but against bots its already closer than what I'm comfortable with. I prefer the Adjudicator due to better accuracy.
@ I use it for small to middle ranges fine, long range I would rather choose the eruptor or something
I stayed for the cat
Probably add programmable thermite rounds. 8 rounds per mag. 6 mags

Reeeeeeeee! Bots r best.
Good points, im sure,
but unfortunately you have a cute cat so I don’t really have an interest in your words
