I was hooked after seeing the way we could make extended bridges. We've got a treehouse village on our server and we had to use pillars in a few places due to the wonky support system. I contacted the server owner about adding this- turned out, he'd already seen the mod and is planning to add it. So, we will be able to make some changes to our tree house village. The other items look great, too. I loved the lattice support frames that allow for building extended building without the need for pillars. I also really liked that these pieces add additional pillar snapping places for those instances where adding a pillar for aesthetic reasons on the edge of a ceiling tile would look better than the base game snap points. I have seen the work around for this. Unfortunately, in order to use the work around, it requires planning to do this ahead of time and it cannot be used with wedge pieces. I've got a building this will come in handy for.
I actually forgot about the Rope Bridges from the DLC's until Pixelcave did this video. Just got done playing around with the available support systems to see what would best fit the Rope Bridge and blend in. The wooden lattices feel the best to me, they KINDA float underneath the Rope Bridge but you can barely tell and have to be absolutely level to see it (meaning if you are running across the bridge or looking at it from underneath you won't see it). The Low Profile beams are awful for the Rope Bridge. They are meant for ceilings and ceiling thickness is not the same as the Rope Bridge. The big bulky ones will do the job too, like Pixelcave uses in the video, but are obviously more noticeable. So long story short, my tip for that purpose is to use the lattice supports for the Rope Bridges. Hope that helps!

I am not a great builder, but I still enjoy it. I just scored Pythagoras for my SP game; damned if I could figure it out. Then I found your video, and @ 06:30 came the Εύρηκα!!! moment. Thanks man, saved a lot of headache there xXx

Oh, that's great to hear! I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun with this mod, it allows for so much creativity when building. I honestly couldn't tell what my favorite parts of it are, but most likely the double doors and the amazing pieces that allow for all the additional snap points.
On the topic of mods, the Ancient Civilization mod from Asghaard is really well done, with a lot of beautiful dark grey/black and stone+metal building parts. No half-walls or half-stairs unfortunately, and I have found that NPCs will sometimes struggle with the door frame navmesh, but the sheer variety and quality of the parts in the set make up for it! There are even a variety of wall/fence top and facing decorations. Worth checking out IMO! (disclaimer: Not affiliated with Asghaard, I just really like the mod)
Agreed, there are some beautiful elements in this mod. We used some parts of it in our Derketo Cat Temple build. Asghaard definitely makes fantastic mods!
I guess you are referring to the 60° rotation beam, in that case I'm not sure why it wouldn't work - maybe it has to do with the latest update. I can't check it myself because we run the game without mods at the moment. I suggest checking in the official Discord for this mod and asking for help, it's the Better Builders Bureau: discord.gg/gbAjAgS
the angled doors would also work well as shutter doors for windows, thus allowing the windows to actually be open in the desert when there is not a sandstone, or your not under attack. And closed like proper shutters when under attack, or a sandstorm is raging.

Played and beaten it so many times in single player and online mode however, that Mods via my new PC version, are about the only thing that might bring me back
i installed the Less Building Placement Restrictions Mod but everytime I try to "hold E" some items and thralls my game crash. i even tried to remove everything and use it only but its the same.
We wouldn't be able to help with that as we haven't experienced anything similar, but if you have questions around this mod or need help, we would recommend joining Multigun's Discord ' Better Builders Bureau' - that would be the best place to get assistance or find out if your issues are related to the LBPR mod at all.
Thank you for the compliment. But take it from me, Funcom developers are vastly better then me at this stuff. They've taught and continue to teach me a lot.
The double doorframes use any door from the regular game, DLCs or mods and adjust size automatically. For the rounded ones, you just need to take any existing rounded ones. That's the beauty of this mod, you have a lot of freedom when it comes to choosing building materials in combination with the various features.
Does anyone know if theres a mod that make the Roof less vertical and more horizontal? Because when trying to build in Greek or Roman style or even Asian. I can't help but feel sad because of how my building look more like a Pyramid than a normal building...
Have you tried the 60 and 90 Degrees Rotation Beams (shown at 18:19)? Not sure if that could work with roof pieces, but maybe worth a try. Closing the roof and fitting everything together might of course be a challenge. Totally agree that we need more roof options, the angle of the regular roof pieces are way too restrictive.
@@Pixelcave It makes a perfect roof. Till you get to the middle of the build. Then realize you can't put the cap at all. And without the cap the building will have an open long line that kills the immersion. I found a bit of a work around tho. Making the roof 60 degrees tilted. Then use a normal rotation after. I will try to use 60 then 90 and then a normal piece. But that requires a big build. If only the developers give us 3 types of sloped roofs. 60 degrees roof. 90 degrees roof. slightly rounded exclusive for Khitan and Yamatai because ancient Asian buildings have slightly rounded parts near the top. I gotta tell you tho, i love this mod. It makes it almost possible to build an Asian looking house.
@@Pixelcave No problem man. This is an amazing piece of work. Corners is the issue. I can make tons of good roofs with slopes but the Corners only combine with each other in a respectful manner. Otherwise they make the area looks broken and weird, and that is giving me anxiety XD. I decided to just stick with Awnings and the 60 to normal shaped roofs when building. It still looks 70~90% actual Asian roof. Just not 91~100% Asian😜 I was going to share screenshots of the roof. But it looks horrifying XD. Maybe when I find the secrets of roofing with this mod I will.

I would suggest joining the mod's creator Multigun's discord, the "Better Builders Bureau" (link in video description) and maybe ask you question there. There are incredibly talented and helpful builders in the discord who can help with all kinds of questions. It's a bit difficult here in the comments without being able to add screenshots or explain lengthier.
Ah ok, already thought there might be a misunderstanding. Was thinking you were asking to add additional support to the double wall - but again, not easy to discuss in comments. I'll check by the discord as well, but I'm sure you'll get some helpful answers there!

Great video, and a great looking mod... However for the 1.5 height doors you need another mod with 1.2 height walls.
How do you snap pieces to the 60° Support Beam? If i try, it wont notice the beam as snapping point

I know that PEB and LBPR are definitely updated and will be for future updates as well. Emberlight and Arena Pier should be as well!

I have installed this mod on my server but I can´t find the doors... I love the door frames but without a door I can´t use it.

What type of support would you like to add? You can use e.g. the Lattices to add extra support to any of the double walls.
