fransiskus prasetio that was an an adult male GT and the buttikoferi was a sub adult, I bet the buttikoferi killed everything in that tank. I’ve seen buttikoferi manhandling Red Devils, Jaguars festae even dovii sometimes
severums aren't as aggressive but they certainly aren't gentle either. I have a juvenile severum and green terror and the severum won't leave the terror alone. however, I suspect the roles will change once they get older.

The Zebra only vulnerable when small once they grow everything dies. But they will submit from exhaustion and die as my red devil took as whoopings everyday for a month until its aggression and endurance wore the butti down n killed it after breaking him mentally which looks like what's happening here
I have a green terror and a zebra tilapia in a 120g. My terror would bully my Tilapia for a couple months, but after my Tilapia got to his size the bullying completely stopped.
that gold saum is a beast! but that butti will definitely end up beating the GT eventually since they just grow much larger and are just much more aggressive
AJ I respectfully disagree as the green terror is incredibly aggressive and when we had one it killed all the other fish in the tank and most of them were cichlids

They’re definitely not weak fighters if they’ve been known to kill devils, Dovii etc My 12 inch female is so powerful it doesn’t even make sense how strong they are. Jaguars are by no means weak but the average Butti is probably stronger and more aggressive than the average Managuense. You need to own one to see just how powerful these fish are. And I mean a full grown adult
This will continue until one or both are dead. The Africans and the new world cichlids should not be mixed for various reasons ( temperament, space needed per fish, water hardness and ph, dietary-etc ). Really just looking at that tank it's only really big enough for the pair of green terrors alone, the tilapia alone or the other fish alone. I hope the conditions improve and a solution is available that will end this unnecessary fighting. Good luck.
Buttis are over estemated. I still love them they are aggressive tried one with my jag and the butti got killed. Their not that strong as we can see at the end the terror won!!! And terrors are weak not very strong a butti compaired to a RD, Jag, Flowerhorn, dovii, Red tiger moto, yellow jacket, midas and so on they are nothing
Do Buttikofferi make good single wet pets? Do they have a good personality, interactive with owner and dig rearrange tank? I was thinking getting one of these guys solo. Thanks!

@@Buttikoferiii a cichlid like a green terror or moga with a small mouth has and easier time breaking the jaw of a cichlid with a large bite radius because it has more biteforce and when this is paired with leverage its pretty hard to beat.
@@wokevikki4332 yeah but if that was true you’d see plenty of cases of cichlids such as Jack Dempseys, Green terrors etc beating all of the Parachromis family due to their smaller mouths but it just doesn’t happen. And I’ve never seen or heard a case of a Buttikoferi getting it’s lips ripped apart or jaw or something when lip locking with cichlids, even Dovii haven’t done that. Buttikoferi are on average some of the most aggressive cichlids, many hobbyists put them in the top 5 and they’ve been known to kill Red Devils, Jags, Motas, even Dovii umbees, festae and Beani. I know every individual is different but the average butti is on par with the average dovii with aggression. They also don’t have weak jaws. My 12 inch female when glass banging, you can actually hear her jaws and teeth scratching the glass, it’s crazy.

they make decent ones. as far as tilapia go starrynights are usually some of the most interactive.

One of the best solo fish you can get. They are extremely aggressive and constantly digging. On the glass trying to bite me every time I walk by.

It works with some really aggressive south American cichlids. Red devils do well with some types of africans
green terrors have a similar temperament and come from the eastern parts of south america where there is a relatively high ph.
