New to the channel. Chainsaw man is an aggressive start in terms of being new to anime. I'd even say put a pin in this series, and come back to it once you have some context. Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood is top tier anime on its own, but it also happens to be immediately enjoyable to newcomers.
This is cool that you guys are starting anime. I highly recommend you guys too watch "Death Note" dub or sub(prefer dub which is English) but it doesn't matter they're both really good but the reason why you should watch this and it's because Death Note is an incredible animated supernatural thriller. Armed with a slick art style and animation, this 37 episode story unfolds with many twists and turns whilst sustaining impressively rounded characters. There's a reason this is regarded as one of the best anime series out there. I hope you guys watch it you'll enjoy it.

The other recs here, Jujutsu Kaisen, Demon Slayer, and Attack on Titan, is basically similar to Chainsaw Man (devil/demons/monsters vs some sort of secret or open police/community) but each of them has their own uniqueness and they have great animation. A great anime starter pack I recommend, so you can flavor different vibes is the following: 1. Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood 2. Hunter x Hunter 3. School Rumble 4. Haykyuu [ONGOING] 5. This is a very few light anime for new anime viewers : - Nichijou/Danshikokousei. - Death Note. - Re:zero. - Fruits Basket. - Gintama. - Demon Slayer. I picked the best but still very easy to digest story, atleast for me. 😁👌
Normally I would see Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood as a first anime seeing as its a more baseline strong story and great dub but chainsaw man is such an interesting first anime
Chainsaw man is insane, a roller-coaster of emotions too! Not all animes are like it, there are many, many genres of anime too so if it does not hit completely with this there are plenty of other ones
Oooh boy. Once you open the door and enter the realm of anime, there's no getting out. Trust me.. "this is my one anime" thats what I thought when I first started with Death Note in 2017. Then I was interested in similar ones which is where I started Code Geass.. then different types of anime interested me. More and more. Its an endless medium of entertainment.. and I love it. I don't regret opening that door.

Start with anime movies. Thats a good way to start watching animes. Higher quality one-shot.
