Re the shop vacuum: This wasn't mentioned in the video, but it's important to note that while the vacuum in your shop does not delete your items when it sucks them up, it will eventually delete them for good if you just leave them there and not collect them out of it to put them into a more appropriate storage container. The vacuum itself even warns you of this by having little symbols for "death" and "clock" painted on the collection door, warning you that anything you try to store there will "die" over time.
@@Eric4bz That happened to me once too. You can get the basketball back easily, though. Just head over to the hoop and interact with it. A new ball will appear from it. Go on and Slam.🎵 🏀
Best Pacific Drive Video for Advanced Players. And this game is sooooooo good, it's insane! I usually stay away from complicated games, but the learning curve is balanced so well! ❤
1 more tip, put your low durability tools like the scrapper in the matter deconstructor to get a portion of the materials back. This saves you resources to craft another one.
How I see grinding vs story. Try not to grind too much before getting behind the wall into area 2. It is harder but not by a drastic amount. You get more loot and variety of materials to start upgrading. The main reason is that you’ll still be going through area 1 on your routes and this will give you more variety then spending so much time in the first biome.
If you get any quirk that where the effect is “car jolts forward”, (ie headlights>toggles>car>jolts forward) you can use this like a free nitro system depending on what triggers the car jolt. If it’s something like headlights or wipers you can spam it for a free speed boost.
I found it odd to disregard the fuel synthesizer early on. One will note it begins filling immediately once attached to the side rack in the garage. When coupled with a side tank, I found myself often hopping out right before leaving an area, and quickly drawing it into my Jerry can, filling my side tank (which supplements the main fuel tank) and boom full gas. That way you are full each area of a run. The synthesizer fill so quickly that I was never without fuel in early game or saved me when I’d run out and forget it was there, full on my car.
One of my favorite pacemaker recipes is crude flashlight > explosives. Explosives were very hard for me to find late game so this was how I gathered them.
Happy hare has a chance to spawn at the wrecked car by our garage when you open its boot/trunk, free repairs on all your parts except your tires for some reason, bonus it can repair your other doors and panels when you drop them close to the hare, make sure the hare is attached to your car to get healing benefits.
Maybe something has changed, but I find the pacemaker is a way to recharge your car without suffering damage, or receiving the charged effect. Its like the beating heart which restores your car, albeit very little.
You don't have to use the logbook option, you can just scan an item to find out what's wrong with it and what tool it takes to fix it. No going to another window and back needed that way. It also tells you what tool to use to collect a resource
30:54 is actually incorrect. Pacemakers will recharge your battery if you park near them, similar to how Beating Hearts repair your car. Also if you put Plasma in them, you get Tree Candy.
I just got this game and on my second run I noticed already that an item randomly appeared by me. The later I had an a anchor land by me that wasn’t from the two I still needed to pull on the map. I felt so lucky.

another tip, scrapping bunnies or scwapping bunnies as you say it(rhotacism is funny af with brits) can provide paint, stickers or random decoration items.
The scrap that made you believe the trourist may had thrown it may not be true, I had a similar thing where I walked under a tree and it started raining metal scrap but only under the tree and there were no tourists nearby and since that metal piece was also next to a tree that might be what happend there as well, not sure tho just something that I believe

The save system of this game is abysmal. Developers should just stop doing this kind of save systems. Roguelites my ass. The option to stop and save the game without loosing progress and to be able to restart exactly at the point you left should be a given in all games.
Hard disagree, the fact that you actually lose progress is the only thing that makes the moments intense. The longest drive you make in this game is like 45 minutes. Be more careful as you get close to the end of the drive.

33:46 By far my favourite part of this video (for any fans of the first Jurassic Park movie).
The dumpster is soooo way much friendly to you xD

Great tips, thank you.
Auto-sort on PC: press and hold U.

Welcome though🙂

The dumpster always gives you what you need, not what you want
I didn’t know about the auto-sort function until this video. Thanks!

Great video! Extremely helpful, and appreciate that no real story spoilers were included. Just started the game am 3-4 hours deep, and loving it
Definitely first time for me on the auto sort subject

Throwing flares for abductors and bubble(gum) buddies makes me feel like I'm throwing a stick for a dog to fetch.
Also works for the pickpockets, but you have to throw flares right under them

The purpose of the pacemaker is not to put stuff in (though I didn't even know that), its to charge the car battery.
I didn't know that. I will give it a go next time I play.
You can also get Tree Candy if you put plasma in it.
@@TedNipplesIt's basically the car battery equivalent to the mushroom anomaly that heals you and the car.
Yea, it took me a while to find out what it does, until I parked my wagon close to it one day.
One of my favorite pacemaker recipes is crude flashlight > explosives. Explosives were very hard for me to find late game so this was how I gathered them.
Dude!!! The auto sort information is the best tip I’ve heard for this game so far!
Absolutely brilliant Mr. Nipples.
Thank You 😊😊😊
4:36 Nope, you just scan it, and it will tell you. It's that easy
That anchor radar helped my butt out imensely when i got the anchor obviscation anomaly.
Good video my friend.
Use the scrapper on the bunnies for more resources.
Happy hare has a chance to spawn at the wrecked car by our garage when you open its boot/trunk, free repairs on all your parts except your tires for some reason, bonus it can repair your other doors and panels when you drop them close to the hare, make sure the hare is attached to your car to get healing benefits.

Very informative, thank you. I knew i could trust the name nipples
You can also scan your car parts like you scan anomlies and it will tell you whats needed to fix.
Thank you for the auto sort tip! I just got the game last night and was really hoping it was an option.
You don't have to use the logbook option, you can just scan an item to find out what's wrong with it and what tool it takes to fix it. No going to another window and back needed that way. It also tells you what tool to use to collect a resource

I've found that the wind turbine does generate power when the car is moving.
I just got this game and on my second run I noticed already that an item randomly appeared by me. The later I had an a anchor land by me that wasn’t from the two I still needed to pull on the map. I felt so lucky.

18:02 this is a lie, i literally use the wind turbines all the time as a passive generator, especially with two of them you’ll never have to touch your battery
Wind turbines only produce passive power if there is wind in that area.
@ryan-dragon You can create wind by moving fast

Nah, it's just a cheeky edit, catching the car moving after the flying anomaly thing was done pulling it.
I’ve learnt that tourist behave very strangely. They follow you around and surround your car; they drop items; they randomly explode etc
Throw a flare they follow it if you dont look at them
every tip was nice.
Thank you 😊
Super helpful!
Wow, thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the helpful advice 😊
another tip, scrapping bunnies or scwapping bunnies as you say it(rhotacism is funny af with brits) can provide paint, stickers or random decoration items.
Man i once got an anchor by a visitor super nice plp👌
It's weird you had to scrap an engine you could repair. Always remember to scan stuff, it will tell you what to do with it.
The vacuum in the shop will delete things after you leave things in it too long and the air turbine does work when driving just not as well
I have learned from experience
The scrap that made you believe the trourist may had thrown it may not be true, I had a similar thing where I walked under a tree and it started raining metal scrap but only under the tree and there were no tourists nearby and since that metal piece was also next to a tree that might be what happend there as well, not sure tho just something that I believe

also not true about the yellow meaning you cannot scrap it as car parts are yellow but can be scraped or in your case scwaped
