    I’ve been roasting with my $85 BarWell with good results and loving my times and temps. Kinds nice doing it manually. 👍😎🎈

    I live in the US and currently use a FreshRoast SR800 with a 12” Razzo roasting chamber that I use a thermocouple connected to a Mastech MS6524 and use Artisan to monitor and control my roasts. Is there a reason you couldn’t use that same setup on the Mago?

      You technically could use similar setup and retro fit the Roma pro. But I don't think it's what the manufacturer intended it to be.
      We actually use the mastertech with th Kelaiddscope M2 and it's a very very solid machine. Although it works on infrared heating but till this day we still use it as our main sample roaster before pushing it to our production roaster.

      @@hisbrewcoffee haha, yeah I don’t think FreshRoast intended it to be used that way either, but us humans like to tinker…😂. Thanks for your reply and your video.

    In your review you said it was quite noisy - can you hear 1st crack when it is roasting?

      It's really hard to hear. Only when the rolling 1st crack will be hear able

    At the moment I will stick with my Ikawa.

      They are 2 totally different machine and 2 different price point. The ikawa wins anytime of the time in terms of roasting quality and also ability to change and collect the data

    This is a prototype. They are looking for investors and you may be taking a chance on getting your machine of repairs if needed.

    Would you buy this with your own money if you had to?

    • @hisbrewcoffee
      @hisbrewcoffee  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It depends on what you'll like to get out of it. If it's just merely roasting coffee of various kind, yes. But since we are very data driven and would love to learn more about roasting knowledge and theories, we wouldn't buy this machine as it doesn't provide the data needed for us to learn on. Hope that helps

      @@hisbrewcoffee It does indeed! Im a backer of the product and was skeptical of it until your review came out. I guess one final question - with your interaction with the manufacturer/product - do you think they will actually deliver?

      @blagodochev2193 ha cool. Honestly very little is known about the company itself. I assume they are pretty new. We are not too sure who their founding members are and they hired a PR/marketing agency so deal lots of the stuff from them. So we hardly ever spoke to them directly just through the agency. So slightly skeptical about that.
