Outof the NT1 & P420, definitely the NT1 anyday! Out of the NT1 & 440, definitely the NT1! Out of the NT1 & the NT2A, the 2A has a bit more colour and punch to it, but I still prefer the NT1’s somewhat neutral sounding tonality, the NT1 wins! Hah!!!

Turn the NT2A's switches to Cardioid, No pad and remove impendence options. You've got yourself an Nt1

Djed a marathon drunken karaoke night (6hrs). However got a rode nt2a, a ddj sx, and a rode mic arm for my time. Best payday i ever got. Amazing mic. So sensitive it will pick up your thoughts.

The NT2A seemed to capture that little bit of extra bass in your voice I feel...maybe I'm hearing things or maybe it is too subtle to make a difference but I feel it did pick that up a little bit better.

Yes NT2A is a little bit more mid forward cm. NT1 is a bakanced microphone.

Actually NT2A is basaay. NTI is best for budget.

Hmm.. I really don’t know, now! It seems like Nt2a is darker and nt1 brighter.. I have a lower female voice doing voice over. Been using Nt1 signature, but its getting returned as its a cheap build.. hmm.. still unsure..

The NT1 got a special place in my heart and ears. I use the figure 8 on the nt2a a lot for duets. But for VO the NT1 slaps as the kids say 😂
    Great video, thank you

I do think the NT2A sounds better than all of them, especially on your voice!

  • @wtulin1970
    @wtulin1970 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

The difference in sound is subtle, but I kinda like the 2A better. I have the NT1, good mic, never been in love with it.
I have an old MXL 3000 I think sounds much better than the NT1, weirdly, but the noise floor on that baby is 19! Something about the 2A seems a wee bit more premium, both in sound and build. I read somewhere that the build of the 2A is more robust, using a brass body (I could be wrong), which you hardly see anymore. The NT1 body is aluminum, so at least not pot metal.

Nt2A is way more crisp.. NT1 is smoother. I bought NT1 for flute recordings, although their price is almost the same in my country.

If you consider Buying a entry point Mic. get yourself the Rode NT1 the Sound is so Amazing it does not make sense buying a 500 euro mic get yourself the NT1 Learn to use it properly and then Consider getting a better one. But the Rhode nt1 is just amazing.

My favorite is NT2, brighter than Nt1, darker than Nt2-a, just in between, just how i like it. Too bad it discontinued but still i have one.

It is officially said by the rode that nt1 is better for recording instruments and nt2a is great for vocals.

      Not really a thing anymore.
      Mics are mics.
The multiple polar patterns on the nt2a are great for instrumentation....and the NT1 is well known in the voiceover field

@@mustafaunsoy hehehe, I think you need ear training. NT2 is records almost your real voice. it doesn't add anything to your voice. I have purchased nt2 and tested both nt1 and nt2 and found that nt2 is way batter than nt1. that's why you pay more. I am also excited to test more expensive mics. my next target is tlm 103.

If you look for a mic to compliment the lack of high-end range of your voice then NT2A (and lewitt lct 440 pure) are better options. If you want the mic to embody a detailed image on the mid and lower range of your voice then NT1 is better.

This is a little advice for you, sir. If you are doing comparisons like this video, you really need to pick your conclusive decision of which among the items you are comparing is your choice or the best among them. The reason why people would want to watch comparison videos like this is to know the choice of that video comparison maker. it will help them make choices too or clear doubts. What you did here in this video is clearly making your viewers waste their time. I couldn't believe that you are asking your viewers which of the items you are comparing is better, when it should be that you are the one giving your opinion and decision here because that's the reason why they watched this video. I just hope that you would consider this advice because for example if you would ask me, I would say that you wasted my time here.

      Within context...it ACTUALLY is.
For one...this was framed in the context of voice over...which THAT makes it a very cheap microphone.
Also...from the comparison of the midrange mics that I was comparing it to...it was in fact the cheaper of them all.
