  • My Harley-Davidson FXDF Dyna Fat Bob is 14 years old. I talk about some of the changes and modifications I have made in that time, the problems I have had with the bike and what I like about it (and why it's still a keeper after 14 years).

Just bought an '11.... love the looks. I really don't consider the "outdated technology" as a negative. Actually...it's a positive, for me...easy to work on. I must say...you are probably the only HD owner in the world...that has put yours through "real world use" all year long, in all weather conditions, unlike the "garage queens" here in the U.S. Cheers...

Welcome to the Fat Bob family! I've always considered the Dyna Fat Bob to be most practical workhorse of the HD range. It's a rider's bike, rather than a poser's bike.

Long term ownership. I owned a 92 Electraglide Ultra Classic from 1994 to 2021 only let me down once and that was the engine sprocket locking mechanism slackened off and stripped the teeth on the sprocket. The old girl got us back from North Wales two up. Sadly it has now gone to the big harley scrap yard 😢 It's in good company with my 2019 sportster which was written off in 2021. Ride safe and be lucky.

I just happened upon your channel and watched your journey to the 3 highest pubs which I thoroughly enjoyed. I'm from the UK originally (you possibly rode past my brothers house on-route to the Mersey tunnel from Southport) but have lived in Massachusetts since '92 . I've been riding a 2002 Road King for the past 11 or 12 years which I'd really like to ship home to use on an extended tour of the UK. That may seem a waste of money, but to ride the roads of Britain on my bike is a bit of a bucket list line item. Thanks for this video and your others.

    Hi
I’ve just bought a 2005 Dyna , yes and just found out about the cam tensioners 😢
Anyway I’m after a backrest , don’t suppose you remember where you got your aftermarket one ?
Great vids and keep up the good work, fab to watch and listen to

Hi Gary. I can't remember the make of my backrest, but it was made in Germany - I bought it mail order. It was quite a few years ago. The engine bars are from the same company.

Some good points but let's be honest most bikes will melt here in winter 😆 🤣 . Which route was that you were filming on ?

I've got a 2014 Fat Bob, and to be honest they are utter junk, lager bike for champagne money, only done 15k dry miles, rusting bits bearings failing
