Been doing this balance routine for only 5 days; I'm still wobbling a little (ok: a LOT!), but i'm reaching for my support less and less each day! I'm even getting into the head turns more easily!

Shelly thank you very much for sharing these balance exercises with us. I am 61 years and started doing this a few days ago. I do find this difficult and I wobble too! But I love your attitude! Im only 53 and lost all my balance! Covid came i sat on the couch eating junk food and never got back into real life! Lost all my muscle, gained 44 lbs and now im geriatric! I'm a beautiful girl. I don't know why I did that to myself but I'm getting back to my old self!
So far ive lost 20 lbs! I stopped eating junk food, exercise everyday and take walks but some exercises i practically fall over! Lol

Dear Angela, don’t beat up on yourself! You’re still young at 53, and if you put the effort in now you would be back on track by the age of 54, still very young! You can use your experience as a lesson and an experiment. You have the knowledge now to know for sure, that when you stop moving, and stop looking after yourself, your body and mind decline. That’s great to know! You’ve got this, take one day at a time, move your body every day, expand your mind every day, and eat with health in mind. I’m excited for your journey, you’ve got this ❤️💃

When I first started this particular "paddle arms" balance workout, for a change from the others, I wobbled badly when doing the head turns. Today, and in recent weeeks, I don't wobble at all! Balance has always been an issue with me - I've never been able to ride a bike! Thank you, Schellae, that at the ripe young age of 75, I am conquering this 'disability'.

@@fabulous50s I’ve already lost 21lbs or 9.5kg And I’m losing about 1lb or .45kg daily eating a vegan/vegetarian meal plan - my roots . I really don’t miss critter meat that much and still eating some cheeses. Just enjoying the energy and alertness I’m feeling ! ( and the loosening of my clothes) lol.

Can't believe how much steadier I'm getting as I do your 3 workouts (5min, 10min, 9min) in turn most days! My balance is so rubbish, I've never been able to ride a bike! Ans I'm not about to start now. But thank you for helping me gain some degree of stability - with osteoporosis I really cannot afford to fall!

Interesting this. Hadnt done balance exercises for many months. Dismayed that I found this hard so went back to your 20 minute walk/balance from a couple of years ago. An old friend and balance restored. Came back to this and no problem. Thank you. ❤❤ much love
Hi Jane! This is interesting 🙌 you have taken your brain back to an environment where it felt accomplished, so when you came back to the new video again, that part of your brain had been reactivated.
This is why we need to practice often. The more we practice, the more our brain acts without thinking ( based on the training we have given it)
This is what I love about life. You just did an experiment, and now you have a result based on your own personal experience.

Oh, this is a nice variety, and a bit easier than a brief video I saw: stand on one foot, add juggling. I can't even juggle while standing on two feet! At any rate, they added a variety of things, but the kicker was balancing on one foot with your eyes closed. 😵💫

Love this balance exercise. Great to see Shellea doing it barefoot as well. I always do my exercises barefoot, though it makes some, like the plank, a bit awkward. Which is better, with or without shoes?
Hi Liz! I love to do my balance exercises barefoot because it helps me stabilise. I would recommend though, if you’re doing any type of lifting or cardio to use a good quality shoe with some support, as it is much better for our backs. Have a fabulous day.❤️

Hi Fabio!! Man did I need this!! I’m going to try it for sure. I’m still healing from first set of surgeries on lower half ( pain blocker surgery) which is finally starting to show improvement in my pain in knees so I’ll be able to walk I hope more than just to my bathroom n to the couch!!
