With Jinjer you never really know what to expect musically, and that's exactly what makes this world-class band so special! thanx for your reaction and warm greetings from the german musician > subbed
This is a great depiction of Franz Kafka's work, a German-writing Jewish author in the early 20th century living in Prague, first in the Austrian empire and then after WW1 in the Czechoslovakia.
It's a centenary tribute, of course. Some aspects of his life as well, but also broadening out to consider Existentialism and Absurdism more generally. So you need to also think about Martin Heidegger and Albert Camus 😉
3rd single from the Upcoming 5th album. This one, and the first single "Someone's Daughter" ,start out with a good dose of clean vocals before getting to the harsh. In that respect , they remind me of "Vortex" and "Wallflower" from the 4th album, Wallflowers. This song references 2 books by Franz Kafka(1883-1924), a writer and novelist from Prague. Looking forward to the new album on 7 February. The 2nd single from the record is "Rogue", that one is all harsh vocals. Check out any of the above mentioned songs when you come back to Jinjer.
