Dear viewer, right after this video Sketchbook is no more part of Autodesk company, and it is now sold at 20-25 USD (not free anymore). We are very sorry for this news! 😬
I recently purchased a new laptop which has a stylus but I didn't know how to use art related app. This tutorial has given me so much clarity and you have no idea how helpful this is. Thank you so much!
Nice tutorial! Never opened Autodesk Sketchbook until an hour ago and now after watching your video, already threw together a book cover for a project. Thanks! Going to check your other videos now.
Wow, thanks a bunch for this in depth and super helpful vid! I never knew what certain tools did, and this was really well organized, so I could simply click through to the section I needed help in within the video. Learned some new things yay!
Just downloaded and learning on my iPad. Lots to learn, Good video thank you! Just to note you have a good voice for videos! All the best Vancouver Island Canada.
If you specifically want something for quickly sketching on your mobile, you may find some earlier versions more focused. If you can find it, Version 2.1.3 has a simpler, more elegant width/ transparency puck- and if you don't have a pressure sensitive screen, transparency control is useful, if not essential. A case of less being more? Good tutorial though.
Thank you for taking the time to create this brief & informative tutorial my guy.. I was intrigued by the arrangement style as well.. Sketch book has recently become my top choice in free art software, and I'm very happy that I can incorporate it into my new project. I definitely liked the video and have Subscribed to the _Skills Factory_ Channel "STAY GREAT"
A lot of this i did knew, the easy and noticeable stuff 😅 but I did just learn of many things i never knew i could do on there. I cant believe i never thought of looking it up till now. It would of save me tons of time 😂. I worked the hard way. Well now i will try out that flipbook 👀👀. Thanks for this 😁
I was hoping this would include how to use all the different layer options. You know how it says “normal” but you can change it to overlay, color burn, etc? Idk how to use those
Pretty good, very clear and well explained. Just a little bit too fast. Most people can only remember 7 things at a time... I'll have to watch the video again.
Hello, I cant see the upper bar at all on my mobile....the one with the crop tool.....that entire row of tools is not visible.....how do i bring it up ?
With new update, I cannot pivot the straight ruler using the mouse. Now, you need two finger to pivot the ruler, which is difficult and awkward even on tablet using a pen. And it is impossible to use the mouth on desktop. Before it was so easy either with pen or mouth.
Is there some way you can measure an object? Like if I want to do a circle on the canvas in the size of 1x1 cm, is there some way I can do that? It drives me crazy haha
is there any window to open your reference image , which can be zoomed in / out depending on what i want , sort of like photoshop ? if there is pls notify
Use the layers setting--besides the brushes and color icons on the toolbar above there's this icon of three little pages. Those are the layers. You can add your image on one and change the transparency of a certain layer for the image
