Thanks for the video. I used it as my guide for my first attempt at some digital art. I've had a Samsung tablet with a pen for years and this is the first time I've tried some art with it. It came out great apart from the neon glow of the sun at the end. You kind of sped past that bit so couldn't replicate your brush settings to make it look anything like yours.
It would be great in future videos if you could pause or put the brush/colour values on the screen for a few seconds each time you change them. I could pause the video and rewind several times but sometimes the settings you used were just so fast.

You can also pause and set the video to playaback at a slower speed if you need it
I loved this! I was able to recreate this scene with ease with my own flavor added to it! Took me a bit to get the correct settings for the final reflection at the end but I figured it out! Thank you! This will help to get the basics of Sketchbook so I can comfortably use it and learn more things!

Not sure if by locking the layer will let me change the colour of the waves. I tried several times but once a layer is locked no changes can be made to it.

Idk what he did with the locked layers. Because on pc,, and even when I tried it on mobile, when I lock a layer, I can't draw on it. Does anyone know if I'm doing something wrong or how to fix it?

When you lock the layer you can paint only on the painted area of the layer .. you can't paint in an empty area

Could You please say why I can't "color" waves in the end? Where the waves need to be locked. In which layer You work there ? Cause once ir Lock waves, it says "layer is locked, unlock it?". It starts in 8:12. And the same with cloud final- You lock them and somehow make some areas lighter, darker. I can't manage it..:(

I finally realized what that lock tool means now
I tried this but....the waves are not same as he made they show red colour also even I locked the layers...I don't know why it is happening so I tried many times but the red colour of waves is visible😢....

Complete noobie here. I couldn't get he did the sun to make a perfect circle without using the shape tool. My sun ended up like yours but with an orange exterior. Then when I tried the shadows on the locked ocean layer but it was lightening it not darkening it.
