Is there a way to have the AO setting import into LayOUT without having to re do it within LayOUT?

Perhaps there could be a new style introduced that would combine all the passes so we wouldn't need to use photoshop... :)

@@dougsutton4911 You'd just create a scene in SketchUp with the AO settings you like and reference it with your viewport in Layout, just like any other scene. You shouldn't have to re-do anything in Layout

@@flextools4su Interesting - at this point it would almost be a stacking of styles in SketchUp just like in photoshop. It's an interesting idea - I would get concerned about performance becoming an issue pretty quickly

I like this new style but it locks my computer, completely, screen starts to jitter and I have to restart my computer. Probably an old graphics card on my computer

Totally, and they look great (in my opinion). This really helps give images depth and contrast!

Very good guide!, having AO is great, I think it´s very usefull for details in isometric view. Also as you pointed out , using it as a separate pass for postproducction is handy, but specially for enhancing a render image; almost all render engines have an AO pass but there are a few which doesn´t, Enscape for example. Adding the SketchUp AO pass to an Enscape render in PS would give it a lot more richness and depth.

You could also just switch it around and only render the clay model and use that to add more realistic light to the SketchUp picture. Gives a more concepty look

A slightly off-topic question, do you have any knowledge about sketchup extensions related to cross laminated timber technology

When will you carry on with basic instructions forthe other features of AMB OCC? AMB OCC gets heavy in details.... Thanks

Thank you! I read that sketchup 2024 has a lot of bugs, so I'm waiting for those to be fixed before upgrading. my question is, Is AO included in Sketchup pro License? like is it an extension? or it is built in?

Actually this new AO feature is fucked up when curved surfaces are involved… 😓
