is it possible to move the new follower animation somewhere else so it doesn't obscure the live bars? it's especially hard to tell when the life bars are also yellow.
I feel like having to 2-0 people to gain ranks is kind of not great. Capcom probably doesn't feel like fixing this as it only affects the top ranked players but then they also added Legends rank which is granted to top 500 players/characters anyway. If a top player 2-1 someone they should gain rank, not lose it (a lot of MR at that if the other side is much lower rank). In other systems like chess ELO there's also usually a cap how much MR you can lose in one match to prevent situation where a single loss could jeopardize your ranking.
Even in your example if a high elo chess player wins 2-1 to a much lower elo player they will still be down elo. Sf6 is capped as well but if you lose to someone 300 mmr below you then you weren’t performing to your rank or your opponent was over performing. This is just the grind of all high mmr games.
That system change suggestion to make drive reversal a better option against obvious drive rush definitely feels like one of the better ones I've heard. Drive rush is how this game works, but the way "get close, crMk DR, win" hangs over every part of the match like some LA smog is a little obnoxious, and it shouldnt be removed as an option, but better/more responses would be good

If Drive Reversal gets buffed, they will need to remove the knockdown from it and leave the character in front at zero or -1, otherwise Gief and Manon would not be able to play the game as it is currently. The better idea is just to nerf Drive Rush altogether.
I don’t know if it needs a buff but it needs a change in some way because as it is it’s the worst and simultaneously most costly defensive option in the game. As for drive rush well yeah…we all know raw dr need a nerf a this point

but then should the other person lose points even though they won 1 out of 2? you could easily create a situation where nobody wants to rematch
