Without a doubt. I haven't yet heard one song that I thought (the original vocalist was better). Sure some of the originals with Tarja and Annette were great songs, but IMHO they are even better with Floor's versatility and power.

Nightwish army, French division reporting :) It's great to see you discover this great band one song at a time.... I remember my own journey there. My favorite one is The Poet And the Pendulum, live 2016 (with lyrics!). But you have to learn the background story first in my opinion. And if you want to have a go at another great Finnish band, I would recommend Amorphis, you can start with "Amongst Stars" (official video, with Anneke Van Giersbergen as guest vocalist).
This was IMO, Floor's second best tour costume. Wait till you get to Buenos Ares 2018. That tour costume will blow you away. Here are 3 Nightwish tracks you have not heard which are also my favorite for different reasons: 1) Master Passion Greed (Heavy AF and angry Nightwish) 2) The Islander (Gorgeous, stripped down ballad) 3) The Greatest Show on Earth (One of the big 3 Opus tracks) The Poet & The Pendulum is on everyone's list for different reasons. I love the positive message of the song. To paraphrase "travel the road less travelled", (separating heroes from cowards). Bsically don't let fear prevent you following your dream, your purpose in life before it's too late. Everything about the song is great.
The one I feel is their "best" song, top of the very long "masterpiece where it all comes together" list is Poet And The Pendulum from Wembley. But the one I find myself actually playing a lot is Meadows of Heaven, the album version with Anette. It's just so fricking *epic* at the end, I can't resist it.

Tbh, I don’t think that most NW fans would mind if you watched the song two times in one video - we’re are kind of an obsessive bunch regarding our music, and less is NOT more :P

I just love when Floor goes all "Medieval" at the end and they all kick out the stops! One of the many reasons I like them is because they don't just play any song or production, they get into and live in everything they perform.
This is really difficult question, which is my TOP3 favorite song, so I have to use some statistics. For the last 25 years, on my own Nightwish journey, these are three songs, which I may have listened the most? Who knows, but here is the list. 1) The Greatest Show on Earth -> 18 months in a row (2015-2016), I listened this song every morning on my way to my workplace. No, I’m not crazy at all, I didn’t listen this song on weekends. 2) Dark Chest of Wonders -> This is my ”sport song”, before every practice and game, I normally listen this song. I sport a lot, so I might have heard this (2004) song a couple of times. 3) Planet Hell -> I don’t need any special reason to listen this song, but normally I have limited, that I can only press REPEAT 4 times in a row. After that I have to listen some other song.
Dead boy's Poem is another surprise waiting for you. Visually and Musically one of the Epics. Ghost Love Score, Song of Myself are also favourites of mine...and a lot more.. Hail Nightwish

7 Days to the Wolves is one of the best Nightwish songs, written by Tuomas and Marko, I think Marko wrote a part/parts of the music. This Wembley version is perfect. AT THE MOMENT my favorite Nightwish song/performance is "DEAD TO THE WORLD" Live at Summer Breeze 2002 remastered. Propably because I just found the video not long ago. A great performance as a whole, but Marko vocals especially towards the end are the highlight for me. I don't know if I should call it screaming or squealing, but I do know it sounds great to my ears. Edit: Outside the big three, "The Poet and the Pendulum", "The Greatest Show on Earth" and "Ghost Love Score", "Weak Fantasy" Tampere 2015 is one of the best.

that badass bass Marco is playing is the Warwick "Vampire". about $7400. he uses their stuff exclusively. never heard two NW songs that sound alike. each is unique, and, uniquely NW. nobody sounds like them. like the conductor at Angel Studios where they record the orchestral and choir parts said, nobody does what he does. lots of people try, but, nobody comes close. this was their first time ever performing at Wembley and they killed it.

My Ma spent a month up here and I drove her back to Memphis. During a NW song she said it sounded like a Spaghetti Western Clint Eastwood movie soundtrack. Tuomas is influenced by movie soundtracks (as is Troy who said the first album he bought was the Jaws soundtrack)
My top 3 : The Poet and the Pendulum, 7 Days to the Wolves and maybe Romanticide. Not quite sure about this, it's very hard to choose ! My top 3 NW songs, oh my god, "Ghost Love Score" (Wacken '13) - "The poet and the pendulum" (Wembley '15) - "Slaying the Dreamer" (Buenos Aires '19), all with Floor. BUT one song i really love is "Wishmaster" and the best live version sings only Tarja at the End of an era conzert in 2005! Another song with Tarja i love is "Beauty OF the beast" (OF is importand because another song is called Beauty AND the beast) - Floor didn't sing that song what i don't understand because it's one of the most beautiful NW songs but if you look it please hear the album version first time! There is a live version from Amsterdam 2002 but it has no good quality. My 3rd best NW songs with Tarja is "Creek Marys Blood" also from the End of an era conzert in 2005! With Anette i couldn't write any song because i like all songs from the Anette era more with Floor or older songs with Tarja, maybe 1 live song with her is "Scaretale". But there are some album versions with Anette i really like, one is "Song of myself" and another is "The poet and the pendulum" but i love the live versions with Floor more! Troy has a good voice, but he's just not as powerful, and there's a lot of songs they won't be able to pull off with him. Nobody can replace Marko, but they're gonna need to get someone to fill that void of a powerful male voice that can sing in so many different styles. I still hope Marko might come back someday... I wish him the best either way, such an amazing talent. It's sad to know he wasn't feeling validated.

Troy just has a different voice and style. The songs that Marko did so masterfully were written with him and his skillset in mind. The songs written for Troy, he does a great job on. We all just got spoiled because Floor came in and can sing anything written for Annette or Tarja. Not a lot of singers have that talent, power, skill. But I agree that Nightwish HAS to find another vocalist to bring on tour so they can play the awesome songs that featured Marko's vocals. Yes, I know that Floor took over some of those duties in the Streamed show this spring, but they need that other voice. Maybe they can find a guest vocalist to bring on tour, or work something out with the singer of their opening band perhaps.

Im suprised they didnt hire a bass player who can sing with a powerful voice , there has to be hundreds out there , i thought jukka could but i guess thats not going too happen, which leads too feel that tuomas thinks /hopes Marko will return , he did introduce jukka as a session player . I love Troy for trying, but his voice is too soft to replace Marko properly. To me with the more powerful stuff, he really has to reach for it, you can really hear it in the live version of Noise. I'd love to hear more of Troy, but it has to be written for his voice, not someone else's.
Favourite Nightwish song? Oh! Thankfully you asked for 3 songs. Picking top 3 is not that hard because Nightwish have 3 singers so here goes: 1. Elvenpath with Tarja This is the first Nightwish song I experienced and also their first track on their first album. I was so impressed because before Nightwish, I used to listen to Haggard, a German's symphonic death metal band with folk themes, so Elvenpath with its fantasy middle-earth theme just fits right in my interest at that time; and still remain my favourite song to this day. 2. Song of Myself with Anette This song is very mysterious in so many ways. It was like understanding life but then when you continue to learn about it to know more, you realized that the understanding will open the door to more questions rather than answers. The song portrayed life itself with its beauty and darkness at the same time; and how we sometimes disconnect ourselves from the nature. One would never understand how things are from others' perspective so this song is somewhat telling us to celebrate life as how we see it because life belongs to everyone of us. 3. The Greatest Show On Earth with Floor I don't think this track needs more explanation as why it became one of my favourite song. The song title is self-explanatory. Those are my top 3 based on 3 different eras because that's the only possible seggregation to pick fairly, but that's my take (*hints - Song of Myself) 😅 Nightwish Army, Elvenpath Company, Malaysian Division, signing off. 🤘🏻

GLS was the song that brought me into Nightwish and will always be special. Devil and the deep dark ocean is (one) of my favourites.

7 Days to the Wolves is one of the best Nightwish songs, written by Tuomas and Marko, I think Marko wrote a part/parts of the music. This Wembley version is perfect.
AT THE MOMENT my favorite Nightwish song/performance is
"DEAD TO THE WORLD" Live at Summer Breeze 2002 remastered.
Propably because I just found the video not long ago. A great performance as a whole, but Marko vocals especially towards the end are the highlight for me. I don't know if I should call it screaming or squealing, but I do know it sounds great to my ears.
Edit: Outside the big three, "The Poet and the Pendulum", "The Greatest Show on Earth" and "Ghost Love Score", "Weak Fantasy" Tampere 2015 is one of the best.

Favorite NW song is Ghost Love Score because I can listen to that song an infinite times. And watch thousands reactions to it. For the other songs I must be in the mood but GLS works for me in any mood.

While my standard answer to the favorite song question is, "Song of Myself", in reality it is usually whichever song is playing at the time

that badass bass Marco is playing is the Warwick "Vampire". about $7400. he uses their stuff exclusively. never heard two NW songs that sound alike. each is unique, and, uniquely NW. nobody sounds like them. like the conductor at Angel Studios where they record the orchestral and choir parts said, nobody does what he does. lots of people try, but, nobody comes close. this was their first time ever performing at Wembley and they killed it.
So true. It's in his blood, he's a genius. Just like there's no one who sounds like Bach or Beethoven. ;)

I honestly can't give my favorite Nightwish song, depends on my mood, but only 3, no way. Maybe if I tried real hard, to the point of getting a headache, I maybe could give you my top 15. Even the songs that are not one of my favorites, I still like a lot.

This song JvB is one of my favourites. Build up after build up, the fireworks and Floor almost becomes a wolf herself, with that wide open mouth (you missed it, because you were headbanging just as the crowd and Tuomas was) at the end of the song. My Ma spent a month up here and I drove her back to Memphis. During a NW song she said it sounded like a Spaghetti Western Clint Eastwood movie soundtrack.
Tuomas is influenced by movie soundtracks (as is Troy who said the first album he bought was the Jaws soundtrack)

My top 3 NW songs, oh my god, "Ghost Love Score" (Wacken '13) - "The poet and the pendulum" (Wembley '15) - "Slaying the Dreamer" (Buenos Aires '19), all with Floor. BUT one song i really love is "Wishmaster" and the best live version sings only Tarja at the End of an era conzert in 2005! Another song with Tarja i love is "Beauty OF the beast" (OF is importand because another song is called Beauty AND the beast) - Floor didn't sing that song what i don't understand because it's one of the most beautiful NW songs but if you look it please hear the album version first time! There is a live version from Amsterdam 2002 but it has no good quality. My 3rd best NW songs with Tarja is "Creek Marys Blood" also from the End of an era conzert in 2005! With Anette i couldn't write any song because i like all songs from the Anette era more with Floor or older songs with Tarja, maybe 1 live song with her is "Scaretale". But there are some album versions with Anette i really like, one is "Song of myself" and another is "The poet and the pendulum" but i love the live versions with Floor more! Maybe you could do an reaction of "The poet and the pendulum" from Wembly 2015 next? I'm 100% sure you would like this song (the version with lyrics if you found it) but whenever you will make an reaction of it read about this song bevore, for your better understand, it's the most emotional song for Tuomas, he wrote this after Tarja and NW split, he was very depressed with very dark thoughts but writing this song helped him out. But i love this song, he has 5 chapters and every single one is a masterpiece! And it's one song of the "holy trinity" of Nightwish, the 1st is "Ghost Love Score", the 2nd "The poet and the pendulum" and the 3rd is "The greatest show on earth!"

God i miss Marko , him and Floor were born to meet and sing together they blend so well and push each other's voices ......troy just doesnt do it for me .
Troy has a good voice, but he's just not as powerful, and there's a lot of songs they won't be able to pull off with him. Nobody can replace Marko, but they're gonna need to get someone to fill that void of a powerful male voice that can sing in so many different styles.
I still hope Marko might come back someday... I wish him the best either way, such an amazing talent. It's sad to know he wasn't feeling validated.

Troy just has a different voice and style. The songs that Marko did so masterfully were written with him and his skillset in mind. The songs written for Troy, he does a great job on. We all just got spoiled because Floor came in and can sing anything written for Annette or Tarja. Not a lot of singers have that talent, power, skill.
But I agree that Nightwish HAS to find another vocalist to bring on tour so they can play the awesome songs that featured Marko's vocals.
Yes, I know that Floor took over some of those duties in the Streamed show this spring, but they need that other voice.
Maybe they can find a guest vocalist to bring on tour, or work something out with the singer of their opening band perhaps.

Im suprised they didnt hire a bass player who can sing with a powerful voice , there has to be hundreds out there , i thought jukka could but i guess thats not going too happen, which leads too feel that tuomas thinks /hopes Marko will return , he did introduce jukka as a session player .
Floor is still doing double duty and shes doing a great job , especially planet hell...but im missing marko on everdream and especially TGSOE and like you said so many songs there not going to be able to do ....The Islander, While your lips are still red , etc.
I love Troy for trying, but his voice is too soft to replace Marko properly. To me with the more powerful stuff, he really has to reach for it, you can really hear it in the live version of Noise.
I'd love to hear more of Troy, but it has to be written for his voice, not someone else's.

Favourite Nightwish song? Oh! Thankfully you asked for 3 songs. Picking top 3 is not that hard because Nightwish have 3 singers so here goes:
1. Elvenpath with Tarja
This is the first Nightwish song I experienced and also their first track on their first album. I was so impressed because before Nightwish, I used to listen to Haggard, a German's symphonic death metal band with folk themes, so Elvenpath with its fantasy middle-earth theme just fits right in my interest at that time; and still remain my favourite song to this day.
2. Song of Myself with Anette
This song is very mysterious in so many ways. It was like understanding life but then when you continue to learn about it to know more, you realized that the understanding will open the door to more questions rather than answers. The song portrayed life itself with its beauty and darkness at the same time; and how we sometimes disconnect ourselves from the nature. One would never understand how things are from others' perspective so this song is somewhat telling us to celebrate life as how we see it because life belongs to everyone of us.
3. The Greatest Show On Earth with Floor
I don't think this track needs more explanation as why it became one of my favourite song. The song title is self-explanatory.
Those are my top 3 based on 3 different eras because that's the only possible seggregation to pick fairly, but that's my take (*hints - Song of Myself) 😅
