Thanks. I just bought an evo VI so same virtually. Its old so probably needs an engine rebuild soon too as it has a lot of "blow by". Hope you are enjoying the V Adam.
Amazing job guys! :D - end effect is so stunning... (rip the old engine which got blown up..) i hope i will ever be able to have evo ix (i dont think evo 5 will be available in my country in a couple of years...) :(
What a great time to be alive. Don't worry we will get Brandon out of office and get Americans back in love with their Country, and then subsequently back in love with life! Get out there and make good decisions so we can all afford to build the car of our dreams just like this Evo 5. Still saving my pennies for an Escort Cosworth. What do yall dream of? Make it happen!
For the evo 5 and up you can use the factory ECU with ECUTek. I use it on my supercharged frs and plan to use it on my evo 4 build as well. Its a really good setup and much cheaper and easier to install and tune than a full on standalone. Its not a piggyback, it rewrites the software of the factory ecu.
As someone who owns a 4 gsr. Gsr gives you a bit of comfort and sanity in a road going. You can talk to passengers and enjoy the ride even though it's still rough. RS's are like driving a tin of peanuts or a tool box as seen in his TME. Can't hear anything, even your own thoughts. You sweat. You get to hear and feel every bump or imperfection in the road. It rattles and clanks like a tool box etc. If it has a purpose outside of street driving and only spending small amount of time in it, then sure RS makes sense but otherwise you want a GSR.
@@antz007x i also have a evo4 gsr, but i have to say that mine is closer to a rs with the Mods done to it, cant hear anything while driving, feel every imperfection on the road etc. Difference is that i bought it for track days and i dont mind it while driving it trough backroads or passes
There’s already a number of all sorts of jdm cars that are illegal to import right now that are and have been in the United States already due to racing reasons or movies etc... but pretty rare to come by. I’m waiting for the evo 5 to become legal!!
Makes me want a an EVO 5 even more
3 yrs later... stilll no Evo? lol
@@CHawkens still no evo 😭
I just bought an EVO 5 here in Japan and I need ideas on what to do with it. Thanks for the content!

If I ever build my evo 4,5,6 that's the video I will use cause I love the way that car handles that's my favorite car out of his whole collection
Thank you for the details and chill vibs. Non manic recaps hit harder in my lil opinion.
Gotta respect Adam tho from TH-cam riding with the big boys now
My favorite Evo. I hope to buy one in the future

broke engine broke my heart
Where did you manage to get some brand new axles?
I love this car so much and dream about it, but I don't have the money
I recently got an evo 5 too, looking to get mine built up to 500wheel hp and also do the full racefab undercarriage upgrade also :)
How many kg do you expect to reduce using racefab undercarriage frond + rear?
If you do all of it including the arms etc its 75lbs. you can save another 30lbs by switching from the AYC rear diff and going with a rs diff.
Where did you get the carbon lip kit??
Are you in the US? If so how did you get it past customs? Looking to have one shipped from the UK.
thx
Sir what is the estimated cost for this build
What ECU is Adam using? Trying to find out what ECU options are available.

my dad has one need some major work
Awesome 👍 .
I've finally got the money for an Evo V and ofc their price has skyrocked this year... if anyones got an Evo V for under $15k hmu
If you have his kind of money why wouldn't you source an RS version?

@@nataliejj3142 thanks Arigato
doees it have a gt35-40 turbo in it
Isn't that an evo4 or do they look THAT similar?
evo 4/5/6 all share the cp9a chassis, 4 is a narrow body, 5/6 featuring the arches we see here
@@floppaturnt maybe it was the wing and trunk that was throwing me off.. thought that was an evo4 only thing
5 & 6's are CP9A's, 4's are CN9A's.
Music name please
How much did he spend?
I’d say well over 25
@@flaatheaad7544 sooo want one!!!

You can import just about anything into Florida, Easy to get anything registered there with there lax rules.
😭
I'll get an evo 6 for daily driver
