- Every shop needs a Work shop Table. I have some wood tables, but its hard to weld and work with metal on a wooden table. Wood... kinda starts on fire. Today we are going to build a massive workshop table, so I can have more workspace for my new project coming up.

Somewhere in Utah there is an intersection missing its stoplight.
Naw, those are free! My city puts them up all over the place and just leaves them there. They're like litter.
Oh, that’s why I sat in my car for 20 minutes waiting for the light to turn green
You can buy a traffic light on eBay, Facebook, antique stores etc
@@BastianSteele Yeah, but why would you? They're free.
@@Hypercube9 my city won’t give them to the public
never forget: grinder and paint make me the welder i aint!

Can I buy this table at IKEA?

Hello what's inside
good weekend project for the ladies in your house!
No 😐
Actually you can get for free, you just have to pay for the shipping
Seeing you single handedly flip around that 600 pound table with those machines really got me saying WOW out loud!
That really is creative thinking at it's best, without the use of specialized tools or other people, you did it all by yourself!
This is why I really love your video's Zack!
You are an inspiration to engineers and tech people around the world!
Just came from your main channel upload 😁
lol mee too, checked twitter and he said new video in 15mins
Opened youtube and found 2 vids
Me 2
I know the backwards spark flying shot is super small but it was really cool!!! Loved the tiny details
I thought he was just recycling the weld. TIL.
Cool project. Thanks for taking the time to explain the welding process - nicely done. 💪👍🏼
I just finished watching his new video on his main channel lol
same
same lol
🤣 im too
Same😂
Same
Mens - seeing Jerry building the table
Legends - seeing his bike
Often I enjoy these more then the main channel. Build more stuff!
I’ve learned so much from you. Thank you for educating both audibly and visually. I’m a visual learner so when you explain things I have to rewind to try and keep up, only to hear “you’ll see what I mean in a second”. Literal music to my ears lol
You remind me so much of my Dad. If he needed something, or something broke, instead of paying someone to build or fix things, he figures it out on his own. He's 93 now, and still "Jerry rigging" things.
Going from jerry rigs everything to jerry builds everything😛
You just built the best kind of table for Kentucky Ballistics !
Maybe he would explode anther gun on a table like that
I watch him to
I was bored all day and suddenly two notifications of Jack' videos came and made my day !
thanks for the conversion to KGs ! The world thanks you :)
4:18 that's a really professional type of shot, love it and also loved your table lol
Now that is that I call Jerry rigging something with that pallet jack
Pretty good for a flux core welding Jerry 👍🏻👏🏻
how do you know that the filler is flux cored
@@hs_747 notice... no tank behind the welder, those welders won't work without flux core and no gas tank
I just finished making a workbench. The construction wasn't easy but it was a piece of cake compared to removing the mill scale. It took several days of spraying acid and a special scotch Brite grinder wheel to get it off but it is finally done.
Also, a note on welding helmets that auto dim:
These helmets ALWAYS protect your eyes (and face) from harmful UV-radiation even when unpowered (turned off, out of battery etc) and the dimming isn't working.
The UV-protection is from the glass itself and not the LCD that dims the bright welding arc.
So use your helmet even if you can't be arsed or forgot to get a new battery for it guys!
Have you thought about putting some timber on the under side of the table top to dampen the noise when you are bashing the top?
So can we assume with the big pile of batteries on your table that your Humvee will be an EV Humvee?
🤫
That would be sooo cool
@@marcovw6415 I'll bet money on it 😁
I was part of his live discord AMA, let's just say there are some epic builds coming soon...
Absolutely predicted it haha. Check his main channel
2 videos the same day!!!
Hmm I wonder, why does Zack have a traffic light in his garage?
Nothing like an upload from Zack on my 16th birthday...
Happy birthday
Well... you were right when you said you weren't a good welder 🤣
Anybody notice that one weld just before the 8 minute mark was shown backward? The sparks were flying toward the welder, not away.
That's what melted his clamp. Never weld in reverse! He's an amateur.
I also look at casterHQ Poly casters with metal core which has higher weight rating. All metal casters can get stuck on any little bit of debris and scuff up the floors. Of course your floor is concrete user preference
15 second after uploadddd after finishing the video on the main channel
4:55 what about that motorcycle at the back, we love to see you review it
Amazing! I wonder how sturdy are these metals especially mid-section of the table.
Doesn't really matter. it's still some good work done there.
Zack flexing his variants
😂 1:36 casually has a street stoplight
😂😂😂😂😂
We need a durability test video for this metal table. I really wanna know if it also scratches at level 6.
Always inspiration to do new things like life is DIY Projects 🔥❤️
I've bought all kinds of things from Metal Mart up near Lindon.... I've had some luck with getting materials from them at better prices than Metal Supermarket.
The only thing I would have suggested you do before welding legs on is having a grid of 5/8 holes punched so that you can use the special welding table clamps.
Your content is amazing
Love to see you crafting things!
Did you get the truck running @jerryrigeverything
Finally aa new video 😭🔥🔥🔥
Definitely time for an upgrade to a 220V Shielding Gas Mig/Tig combo welder.
Lincoln makes the mp210 that can operate on 110 with gas. I have one and have done a ton one regular 110 with gas
Waiting for a follow up video on this
I'm actually loving this channel more than your main one xD
It's important to grind down a spot for the clamp to make contact with as well. You want a good connection there too.
Nice traffic light, it’s a McCain brand one, I collect those
Always! Always use proper eye and ear protection and gloves. My dad got his finger cracked due to a flying cutting disc peace and in the same month, I got a metal particle stuck in my iris. Don't try to learn the lessons in my way. Good Luck!
I half expected him to just be able to flip the table with one hand. Strong dude does strong things. I'm convinced he only used machines to not make the rest of us feel bad.
Good job but if I were you I'd add a couple vertical metal bars in the middle so the whole table does not bend in the middle since it is quite long and also it will prevent the bottom shelf from sagging in the middle.
7:06 WOW! Are you Michael Bay? Martin Scorsese?? That was some INSANE movie magic! I still can't believe what I just saw - genuis!
If you install a diy mini split can you please make a step by step installation video? All the other videos are good but not great lol. Thank you!!
The Zack (Jack) of all trades
5:04 Nice bike Zack!
I know this vid is a year old, but I just found ya. I expected you to be a welding wiz, given what you're building, but when you explained how basic the welder is, and how the process works, I really appreciated it. Subbed, liked, all that jazz. Nicely done.
Nice bunk bed for a apocalyptic world.
Welding is like hot gluing? Brazing and soldering certainly are like hot gluing. While some types of welding do involve adding material, I understood that welding was actually melting two pieces together to create one piece, not binding two pieces together with a binding agent. Any welders on here to confirm/deny?
you are right... I'm guessing he was simplifying bc he used air quotes one of the times he said "glue"
You can also add extra metal washers between wheels and table to level it out :)
When BG music started I thougt 'Wham Baam Teslacam' started playing in the background XD
The fact you still have all of your fingers is amazing 😂
Nice done. Table looks really good.
Zack rig everything,,
Le electricians, engineers, workers be like: are we a joke to you
Main and Second channel video, let's go
Great work you did there. I doubt I would be able to make a table like that at all.
Nice Ducati monster. Just casually tucked away.
4:17 shall we wear welding glasses too 😳😅
Love that humvee I want one. …plan on it ..that table I planned one but waiting on a garage.
7:35 Looking rather cool in reverse 😁
Wow that helmet is awesome.
Anyone else notice Zach was welding in reverse @7:35
First time I've ever gotten an explanation on how welding works (on a basic level)! Better late than never I guess.
But: what does the "battery" clamp do?
thats like the ground, you put it close to where you want to weld so the current has the shortest route possible
Electricity needs an in and a out ( why you also need atleast 2 cables in your plug) so it travels through his torch, through the metal back to the clamp which goes back to the socket so you got a closed circut, no clamp means only one electrode so no way for the electricity to get back to its source (which it want really much) so no electricity would flow. Its just the return path for the electricity. Hope this makes any sense
When he wa spushin the trigger and there was just wire coming out. There was no ground hooked up. You need that clamp to weld stuff
@@koevoet7288 you explained it very well. Thank god you didn't go into the different power percentages like how when you weld with positive 30% of the power goes on the electrode and 70% goes to the work piece then vise versa with negative. When I was told about that for the first time it through my brain though a loop lmao
These videos are always great!
Where are you safety slippers? Rich Rebuilds always welds in flipflops 😁👍
I saw a motorcycle 🤪
May be we can expect a motovlog
10:55 hahaha duuh! :P awesome video as always
"Pretty big table with lots of room Up top and Bottom for Activities"
Step brothers reference
Why this channel is not growing like teared down one?
Is it an unlisted video? Backwards sparks part was a nice touch xD
Wow back to back ❤️❤️
Please wear a welding respirator when welding or use some ventilation of some sort. That smoke from welding is pretty dangerous.
Best regards from the welders :)
Pretty nice table but I would change a single thing. I would reinforce it on the wood part, it feels like it would break if you have some weight on it... even tho, nice table!
Hey, Jerry (aka Zack), why'd you tell us this 3:47, and then proceed to show us this 3:59 4:20 10:43, throughout the whole video?!😄
My eyes! MY EYES!😎
The bright generated by the welder is dangerous to skin and eyes but our screens can't reproduce that power, soo we're safe w/o masks and gears
What was the thickness of the top plate? Also what kind of material? A36 mild steel?
Can you kick the wheels? I feel like this table would keep drifting all over
Can we get a HMMWV restoration 😻,,, could be epic 😎
I didn't know you had another channel.
Now we can use it as a trolley to drag the many bodies at once
Once I heard: "Anyone can build a bridge, but only an engineer can build a bridge that can barely stand"
I think this overkill table is a good example of that, lol
nice work though
When was this filmed? You have a hoodie and a heater on and it's the tail end of july....
Hey zack, please ask Dan when is he taking appart your statue?
Probably this fall, when it's not so hot outside
So your idea of upgrading your welder is getting a 220V one...
Here in sweden 220V welders are pretty meh and our upgrade is getting a 400v three phase welder if you want a proper one :D
But then again, our 240v outlets max out at 16A i think and those are not that common either. When talking about residential wiring ofc.
The most common fuse sizes for homes here are 6A and 10A. No idea what kind of amperages you guys have over there.
what about the old hammer?
You Clean The Metal For Welds And Use Metal Clamps For Welding, Ask Me How I KNow.
And I Would Make Adjustable Wheels
I'm pretty sure those wheels are galvanized steel, I wouldn't want to weld them anyway
you played the video backwards @7:35 till @7:40 ................ the sparks were going back into welding instead of coming out from it :D :D :D
you're nice welder dude
supports in the middle wouldn't be a bad idea either
Wait what ? Since when this channel exist ?!
Zach, you should really talk to my dad. You guys would be the best of friends, you both think logistically, you both want everything on wheels, you both always have the design in your head and not on paper, you both are super mechanically minded, and so much more.
Edit: we are all members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Hey Zack! How did you transport that 3x10 sheet of metal!?
his pickup
Thanks for sharing nice video
What!!! when did you create 2nd channel.
