    Lovely! If you dry your tissue paper on plastic bags, you get amazing lines and textures. Plus, one side is shiny.

    So happy I found your channel! I am obsessed with making collage papers. I make new ones every day even though I don’t need them because I have boxes of them under my desk. I’m also obsessed with making circles on tissue paper.
    Have you ever tried doing the alcohol ink technique on Vellum? It does not absorb or spread onto the paper, so it creates this stained glass effect. It’s so gorgeous! I will definitely go back and watch your previous videos. I really like your energy and your style!

      Thank you! I have not tried that and have very limited experience with alcohol ink, but was actually at a friend's Sunday to play with them. We tried photo paper, which doesn't have terrible results but isn't ideal. I'll let him know about the vellum, which I happen to have a bit of on hand. We'll have to have another alcohol ink "party". 😊

    Love your papers, colors and techniques! I never thought to make texture paste collage sheets. Great idea and I will be making some of those and the other papers. Thank you so much!

      Thank you! Have fun! I know I am. 😊 And though I obviously need to work on how I use the paste tinted, I also like that it can be painted when dry and think that could be fun in a mixed media collage.

    Thank you for this video! It is the first in the series and I am curious, are you using both regular tissue and wet strength tissue? Where do you buy, in thevUSA, wet strength tissue?

    • @melindavanry
      @melindavanry  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I only recently started using wet strength tissue paper. I bought it on Amazon. I don't know how different brands may be different, but so far I prefer regular.

      @@melindavanry Thank you! I can not find a source in Atlanta, where I live, for wet strength tissue, and I do not shop online so I have felt stuck. I have bought regular tissue, at Dollar Tree, but it is so easily torn when wet, even from a light application of paint. What brand tissue do you use?😊

    Are you using regular tissue paper like we use for gifts?

    • @melindavanry
      @melindavanry  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Mostly yes. When I use wet strength I try to always say so. But when I say regular tissue paper or tissue paper it's the type for gifts.

      I haven't yet found brands I like better than others (except for a regular tissue paper that is now always unavailable), but in this video I use both inexpensive tissue paper made for wrapping presents, and wet strength tissue paper..

      Sorry about that. It's fine on my end except for the intro that went horribly awry and it was too late to fix.
