The rhythm, the groove, they're tight, groovy, a solid rock machine. The bast band ever at their peak. I feel sorry for people who can't understand how great this band is
I love how rudd purposely gives the hi-hats room to breath, how he misses them here and there to really give the song a more natural feel and groove. Such a good drummer
@@kenouif phil plays the songs quite differently here with how he hits the hi-hat and whatnot. It deffinitely has his influence but I can mainly hear phil in how the drums go
@@kenouif where did you hear that? I’ve never heard that Chris Slade had anything to do with Ballbreaker. I know he participated in Big Gun, but it was my understanding that he was let go so Phil could rejoin prior to Ballbreaker. Besides, I feel like this sounds like Phil Rudd trying to prove himself to the band as being worthy of returning to the group. This particular tour and album really showcase Phil’s talents as a drummer imo.
What an incredible performance. The level of energy this band is capable of maintaining, is incomparable. And they just released PWRUP. Unstoppable. Best band in the land.
Ballbreaker, Stiff Upper Lip and Flick of the Switch - their most underrated albums. The songs are terrific and should be played way more often! I'd gladly pay a couple thousand bucks to hear them play "Hail Caesar", "Hard as a Rock", "This House is on Fire" or "Stiff Upper Lip" again instead of the snorefest that is "The Jack"
I would pay a lot of money to have seen this at River Plate...... Never understood why this was massively underplayed on any tour. Still sends me nuts when I put it on in the car!!
Las Ventas, the central Bullring of Madrid, Spain. The most epic place in the world to perform this song about the coliseums and the Caesar fo the romans age. Priceless.
No matter the age of the crowd. They're always smiling ☺ and enjoying themselves. At 60yrs I've been lucky to see AC/DC on multiple occasions. Rock on forever.
Everyone talks about Angus but it's Malcolm who you need to listen too, comes up with some of the most badass riffs. Angus is still great but I personally like Malcolm better.
You Had Chuck berry, Beach Boys, Jimi Hendrix, Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Rolling Stones, Who, Thin Lizzy, and you have the best rock'n'roll band of all times : AC/DC.
Yes, almost every song by AC/DC is best performed at a live concert (before a paying audience, not so much the crowds they get in for the "official video") and the sound production on this is top notch, I love it, it really packs a punch and you can truly appreciate the bass and rythm guitars. In fact sound production on more modern, post 2000, videos is not nearly as good.
there will be two major things I will be doing at my first AC/DC concert, 1. fuck my hearing up for the next week or so, 2. fuck my voice up belting up their classics. oh and as a bonus I will most certainly be in Rock n' roll damnation.
Night1996Prowler oh yeah it is a true stadium rock song, gets the crowd into it, truly a mighty song for any concert, should have been a live staple for AC/DC
Damn, Brian was on fuckiin fire during the 90s, more gravelly voice and more extreme. Ballbreaker is my favourites album and Hail Caesar one of the best songs besides Burnin Alive, The Furor and Hard as a Rock.
I have a little time on this earth. If I could sit down with anyone on this earth, talk about anything,it would be AC/DC,the purest, hard core Rock band of all time.GOAT,GOAT,GOAT
I think Malcolm Young is one of the greatest rhythm guitarists ever to have played. I even named a beloved pet after Malcolm. I always felt like "Hail Caesar" was his song, his groove was incredible here and it really carries this song, IMO.
although Malcolm Young and George Young and Bon Scott are no longer alive but we are also going. Hail Malcolm Young Hail George Young Hail Bon Scott Hail Angus Young Hail Cliff Williams Hail Phil Rudd Hail Brian Johnson
I remember buying this CD in Sept. 1995, I was 20, blasted it for months and months. Used to play Burning Alive while warming up on guitar before my band showed up to practice. LOVE this album. BTW, the original cover that Marvel Comics made for them was much better than the one they used IMO.
ROCK ON AC/DC THEY ARE STILL THE BEST ROCK N ROLL BAND OF ALL TIMES :) MORE THAN THE ROLLING STONES, THE BEATLES AND LED ZEPPELIN OR AEROSMITH OR NIRVANA OR METALLICA
If you start listening to AC/DC you will never stop listening to them.
Exactly, from Algeria, never stop listening to them since seventys
been listening to them since I was a teenager in early 80s
AC/DC is best band in the world.
No question
AC/DC is the best band in the world "change my mind"
Yes back with bon Scott rock n roll
😤😤😤👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎
Absolutly agree with you 👍👍👍👍😜😜😜….
Rudd's timing is superb. He is much better than a machine.
It's a shame he has had his fair share of problems in the past, but the man is impeccable.
It's funny how a guy my size can be so badass.
The rhythm, the groove, they're tight, groovy, a solid rock machine. The bast band ever at their peak. I feel sorry for people who can't understand how great this band is

You know Slade layed down the tracks to this album. You can tell it has his influence with different drum patterns and fills.

The groove was missing. Phil got it back
I love Brian Johnson.
Ballbreaker is a legendary album
the heaviest album, so hard. Perfect
Underrated but one of their best albums.
@@lasdicanacho I think Fly On The Wall might be a smidge heavier. Some great forgotten gems on both, though.
Hell yeah Ballbreaker is always a top ten album for me. I don’t think it gets enough praise and is oftentimes overlooked
Hard to believe the man is 75
They are truly the kings of rock and roll
YES!
Rudd was on fire there. What a drummer he is.
Rudd is just insane. What a rhythm he made.
Rudd doesn't use a metronome to keep time, a metronome uses rudd to keep time
A machine gun
Actually Chris Slade layed those drum patterns down. He said many times he did that in interviews before he left the band
@@kenouif It's obvious you're a Slade fan, he's good,,,,, but only Rudd sounds like Rudd and possibly the best live stadium drummer ever.
