The story goes Matt Busby initially offered George Best to Don Revie but at the last minute changed his mind and decided to let Giles go instead. Giles had played in the 1963 Cup Final for Man U so in winning the 1972 FA Cup (the Centenary Final) he won his second winners medal.

Let’s be honest though to replace a player like Roy Keane was impossible.

They often have control over club shops - for example Castore ran Newcastle’s club shop until recently 😊 not the case with every club
