I love Golden's commitment to RP and historical accuracy. Literally throwing his men into the shitter to ensure WW1 Germany slowly bleeds out with no competent allies.
The problem with the WW1 games is there are like 14 allies all microing against 4-5 Central Powers players. Even if you game balance the countries, the sheer number of allied players microing the fronts is just unfair.

British troops were starting to build up on the frontlines and were at a heavy disadvantage for the opening year or so (they got battered badly by maintaining a minimal army compared to the German troops). They were outnumbered about 4:1 in the Battle of Mons and quite impressively held on. They pushed Germany back with France after the Battle of the Marne and maintained around 247,400 men until 1916 when this sized up to two to three million.

It's not fun to watch. There's no challenge.
Reinforce meme shouldn't happen in WW1. 100k men won't abandon trenches just because 5k of them got overrun. Retreat during battle itself was a rare occurrence. As a soldier during a battle you'd either be victorious, die, become injured, or surrender. If you tried to actually run away, you'd be an easy target for the enemy.

I mean the whole point of WW1, is that the central powers could beat Russia, because its a 3 vs 1, I mean in real life, the Germans won an insane reversal, but In game terms focusing France is dumb, Russia is mostly isolated, they could have intercepted any attempt to reinforce too
This is such a cool mod, it seems very well thought out. My only question is about whether north america is fully simulated, as I think it would be interesting if in some games Mexico could accept Germany's proposal to fight against the americans.
I have found out the best strategy to win as Germany in this mod, first of all, you don't need more units to train, you only need as much as you get from reservists. Make sure to distribute machine guns to the elite infantry that are trained and actually have good equipment, put the good ones into belgium to hold and don't put any troops onto the french frontline, only do that once you got the reservists, and push into Belgium with your elite, well equipped infantry and there you can try encircling the french and push into Paris, since the French nor the UK can hold the line on the south, you have to start doing offensives there so they put more troops there instead of the north, and don't push into Russia till you are done with the French, only like push them back a bit (like take Poland or push them out of Estonia) and once you have the french troops and all that collapsed you can try your offensive into Russia. Make sure to have lots of machine gun equipment, since that gives you lots of buffs.

It was the americans who where desciding factor in 1918, not the brits.
