    A lot of people get the gooseneck one but that is really only good for pour-over coffee as it dispenses really slowly. This is the one to get if you don't do a lot of pour overs.

    They need to sell the corvo pot without the base so I can have both spout options to go with my stagg ekg base depending on if I’m making a pour over or French press.

    thanks for this,my fellow gooseneck kettle changed from c to f while I was brewing but thank to this video I can just go adjust it back👍

    Does the Stagg has everything the Corvo has but plus, or every model has its own benefits? Thanks

    Is the pour over between the Fellows Skaggs vs Corvo comparable? Which one is more ergo when pouring or it's the same? Thanks.

      The Corvo will be much quicker at pouring with the open spout vs. Gooseneck. Everything else is the same 😀

    I'm trying to find out how long is the power cord. Does the base allow you to adjust the length of the cord?

    • @kcbc9037
      @kcbc9037 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      About 2’. No it does not allow you to adjust the length.

    Hey! are there any plastic components (filter, etc) the hot water could touch?

    does anyone know what level of noise it provide when its boiling the water? Im looking for quite kettle, and this looks nice, but for this price if its not quite than I will go look other ones.

      Considering a Fellow Kettle compared to other Coffee-scentric kettles - they are the most quite being close to 10% quieter in Db. (60db)

    Any other difference with the STAG EKG kettle other than the gooseneck spout??

    • @AndrewYohanaLaurent
      @AndrewYohanaLaurent 3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      there's a huge water flow rate difference as seen in video. I don't think it's a good products to buy unless you really need fast pouring. Just go for gooseneck EKG,sir.

    • @AlternativeBrewing
      @AlternativeBrewing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      what @Andrew said. The Flow, that's correct.
      It's not going to replace a gooseneck spout - but a gooseneck spout is also a very specific part to that kettle that also detracts others from considering it as an all-purpose kettle.

    • @9jang
      @9jang 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That said. If you’re an immersion brew method person, the Corvo is for you. The Stagg’s flow is controlled but I find it too slow for AP/FP brewing.

      @lisav8443 ปีที่แล้ว

      IF you just do “pour overs” Stag EKG is the way to go. For someone (like me) that needs a more versatile kettle…used for press pot coffee, and loose teas the Corvo is the perfect choice. Don from Mei Tea did a review on the Stag, felt that one of the biggest detractors for brewing tea was the extremely slow rate f flow using the Stag gooseneck. That You Tube video convinced me to get the Corvo!

    Hi, is it normal that the lid is quiet loose? It happened to me that when I was pouring water that the lid opened a bit.

    • @AlternativeBrewing
      @AlternativeBrewing  ปีที่แล้ว

      There should be an o-ring on the lid- this may be seated incorrectly- or have fallen off. It allows the lid to sit in and not fall off

    Like the Stagg EKG, I believe the shiny joint part of the handle is going to be extremely hot. :|

    • @AlternativeBrewing
      @AlternativeBrewing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It does get a little hot yes. But so long as you hold the handle as intended, I dd not find myself accidentally burning myself

    • @user-bc7cb8uu7e
      @user-bc7cb8uu7e 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You aren't wrong, but fortunately accidentally touching it is very rare (I brew coffee and tea every day pouring water more than 10x per day, and it's been several months since I've accidental touched it, and even then it was unpleasant, but didn't really burn me).

    • @9jang
      @9jang 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@user-bc7cb8uu7e thank you! I was actually referring to the illustrations shown in the video. I personally have no problem with the handle. It’s just that what was shown in the video seemed wrong.

    Is there a temperature sensor with a silicone ring inside the kettle?

    • @AlternativeBrewing
      @AlternativeBrewing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is yes. And that is relevant for all Temperature variable kettles.

    • @giselaweidinger2580
      @giselaweidinger2580 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AlternativeBrewing Thank you for your fast answer. No I own 2 kettles with temperature control without sensor and without silicone ring. Unfortunatly they both have this gooseneck which pours slow and since I only drink green tea I would prefer a kettle like the Corvo. I also know of a third kettle without silicone ring inside... I suspect in the far future there will be the kettle of my dreams :-D But I think companies like fellow should rather focus their energy on this topic instead of this silly game :-D

      @@giselaweidinger2580 What is the kettle you know of without a silicone ring inside? I cannot for the life of me find an electric kettle without a silicone ring on the inside.

      the corvo is perfect for green tea. I start every day with copious amounts and love using this kettle with my japanese tea pot. Its the equivalent of having a japanese zojirushi air pot with the water being kept at the temp you want and being able to continuously top up your tea.

    were you paid to make this video? How long is the cord? Does the kettle have any downsides?

    • @AlternativeBrewing
      @AlternativeBrewing  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No. 1m. It’s a kettle at the end of the day. Aesthetics and temperature control are really the two things that separate this from any other kettle… and the spout

    This kettle has 3 fatal flaws. #1 It's too small. You need to pour every drop to eke out two cups of coffee or tea. It's beautiful but perfect only for those living alone who drink 1-2 small cups daily. #2 This is really the #1 fatal flaw, but because the kettle is so small, you need to really get out every drop and the lid falls off into my French press unless I remember to hold it on. An awful way to start my morning. #3 isn't really fatal but the kettle sits BOILING at 210F for several minutes until it finally registers 212F. I"m sorry I didn't return it within the 30 day period, though I did notify customer support of the temp issue, they're not willing to help out with the lid issue. This kettle is just another pretty face.
