One of my favorite things I did in Vietnam was getting lost in some alleyways (sounds so weird) but finding hidden delicious places to eat.. I remember finding a place that sold cakes and pastries they had bánh bông lan trứng muối which I haven't had in such a long time, that cake certainly bought back so much childhood memories.. anyway love Max and Chris collaborations, Merry Christmas and happy new year to you both, thank you for a memorable year this year, can't wait to see what the new year will bring for you both in amazing adventures around Vietnam

Bánh xèo ở miền Nam không chiên mà gọi là đỗ vì cho rất ít dầu , chỉ cần một miếng mỡ heo sống thoa lên chảo nóng là đủ và sau đó bỏ thịt mỡ và tôm vào xào cho chín rồi mới đỗ bột vào và tráng mõng ra cho đều khắp chảo xong rồi đậy nắp lại chờ nó chín , thế thôi . 😊

This looks so delicious. What is the name of the first noodle dish please? I've read that we have fairly good standards for Vietnamese cuisine in Canada, but we'd never find gems like this dish. I thought the restaurant owner was the server's girlfriend. Such a true point. Lol.
