Thanks, Tom....I've been trying to figure out a better way to set my usaver....I am in possession of a Revolver, so i really like the fact that i can have multiple throw-lines set whenever...and WHEREVER......and i can roll up,clip on the revolver, and haul it up!
Kinda like if i want to leave my throw line in-tree, but yank my usaver, a revolver makes it a lot easier, and less time consuming.
    Thanks again.

When u retrieve your u saver do you back it up with throw line?? Or just pull it out. I've been climbing a while but new to using friction savers. I just ordered a u saver last night an was wondering how much impact can it take over time

Joe, it depends on the ground condition: over a sidewalk or granite steps, use the throwline. Otherwise, let her drop ... the Pinto is a tough little pulley.

Tom Hoffmann thanks for the fast reply tom. I really like the concept of using a pulley as a tie in point. I was worried about how it would hold up smashing against limbs on the way down in a trimming application. Can't wait til mine comes in next week

Tom, Im thankful for your videos. I was wondering if you could point me to a set up for tieing in to a false crotch. Sometimes I dont have a good crotch to throw my rope over and back down to me. so I realize I would have to set it myself buy climbing , but would there be something retrievable from the ground in this application as well?

Randal Patrin-king Randal, there are many techniques to help isolate a branch for a friction saver but sometimes it's just way faster to pull up a static line carrying a pulley and your ddrt climbing rope. But the younger guys will tease you about the benefits of going SRT ... !

Lol. I'm just not they're yet. I'm not sure if you answered my question or if I didn't state it right. I am ddrt but world be climbing to my tie in point. Let's say needed to tie into a almost vertical spar with no crotch. I was thinking maybe a 3/8 x 6 am steel blue loopie and a isc compact 13mm impact pulley for my line to go through. Would that work? Is that over kill? Also could the loopie slip down the tree if out on a branch and I came close to a 90 degree angle and let it loose? I also have the small pinto pulley with the spacer, could that work in place of the compact pulley?

+Tom Hoffman , I haven't been able to find a video that explains a way to tie in like a pulley could without using a crotch and ddrt. I wouldn't think it would need to be as beefy as a rigging set up. I wad going something like the omni swivel single 1/2 in capacity block by rock world be perfect.

Randal Patrin-king Oops, sorry. To choke a spar, use the uSAVER with the pinto pulled through the large ring. See my vid "uSAVER by TreeStuff". It won't slip but if you have the slightest doubt, wrap the uS into one round turn with the large ring on the outermost wrap. This choke must be set by hand but can be retrieved remotely.

Hey! I've just started making videos on ideas and reviews on climbing gear, I've been watching your videos for awhile and I love what you do and I'd love it if you went and checked out my first video and leave some feedback and tips! Thanks in advance!
