The D Ac neck model will work well with a Crunch Lab, but I would not describe it as warm-sounding. It is bright-sounding, compared to most neck pickups. If you prefer a warm sound, you might like a LiquiFire or Gravity Storm neck model.
Hi, I saw the prototype when I was shooting Jake's video and it looks great. I don't know if it comes across but the guitar finish matte black. I suggest viewing it again in 1080p TH-cam setting. Hope that helps, Larry DiMarzio
Hi, The Titans are brand new and the official release date is Wednesday, Oct 9th. They can be advance ordered by any DiMarzio dealer or Musician's Friend, Guitar Center, Mike's Music, etc. Hope that helps, Larry DiMarzio
These pickups came up on the pickup finder when I selected Jazz, classic amp, mahogany guitar, and more harmonics. 🤔 would love to hear them in standard tuning
Larry, really interested in getting a set of these for my 7 string when you guys release the Titans in a 7 form, but I'm wondering if you'll ever have the covers as an option for the 7 string pickups, these in particular? I may be looking in the wrong place, but I've yet to find a DiMarzio 7 string pickup with covers. Thanks! Best wishes, and thanks for all the wonderful products.
Great player, great video! I might have to try a set of these. The only thing I don't get, is that he talks about the benefits of his signature Ibanez (which looks cool as hell) when using alternate tunings. But it has a floating LoPro Edge. I've been an RG guy for a long time, but changing tunings with that type of bridge is pretty much the worst thing ever.
Oh man, these look and sound awesome. Cool name too. Definitely want to try these out but I'd need a new guitar!! I already have Evolutions and Gravity Storms in my two guitars.
oh yeah I second that it almost gives the guitar a strings section surrounding, I’d love to know what kind of reverb was used to achieve that, great sound.
I think he's in the same tune as scarlet: one step down the 6 and the 2 string and a half step down the 3rd. He's also down another step with all the strings
Jake has the best sounding pickups, where Mark and Misha use pickups that cost twice as much, or 3 times with Bareknuckle and don't sound much different. I had a Jackson and put The Alpha and Omega set in it, and I was not impressed. Thinking of getting the Titan set from my Ibanez RGA42fm.
I want to stick one of these in an hss start but I'm worried about matching single coils to it. Don't want srv tone in the neck and Mastodon in the bridge. Guess I'll just put a full set in my ibanez.
cazza710 Would that be good for blues AND metal? And funk? Like rhcp? I love the tightness of this titan. But if i can't match it to something that will allow me to do all around kind of stuff then idk.... It may not be for me.
I was very iffy on these because I personally *hate* the tone that most bands have in djent bands. These though...these sounds so thick and luscious like all of my favorite Dimarzio pickups. Will buy.
LarryDiMarzio Great! Now just make your 7-string pickups available in a soapbar mount for all of us that have 7-string guitars that came with active pickups.
I always wondered if the bridge pickup from this set would mesh well with a neck pickup like an Air Norton in a mahogany bodied guitar. I love the tightness of the bridge but the neck seems a little too "sterile" or some similar word to me. I'd love something warmer or more lively sounding but still somewhat similar. Can anyone offer any advice or suggestions? I'm still thinking about throwing a Titan (B) & Air Norton (N) in a PRS SE custom 24.
Larry, I'm looking for a new set of pickups for a les paul i just purchased. For years I was using an SD JB/59 in an ESP, but in this new guitar I'm looking for a touch more output, perhaps a touch more beef from the bridge pickup and a tighter overall sound. I play a range of styles, not only modern metal but also more alternative rock or stoner rock music, and was wondering whether the TITAN is flexible enough to cover a range of styles or whether you'd recommend something else?
I saw that you say it would be released today, but I have looked everywhere online, and called Guitar Center, and several other Online Music Stores, and all tell me they cant find it :'(
Stop looking start buying. I had an ibanez s series gio (yes gio) laying around and decided to fix it up and see what happens. I eventually wound up on these pups and had to have them. I put them in and now this shit gio is my favorite guitar. and these things are really really versatile. I've played metal rock and blues on these and I'm always shocked at how well they switch genres. Get them! for real. They are great!
Hi Larry. I've got an Epiphone korina V. I play mostly hard rock, thrash, classic heavy and progressive instrumental. My idea is put a super distortion in the bridge but i'm not decided about the neck pickup. I want power, clarity, harmonics and good cleans. Which do you reccomend? the breed neck or the norton will be good choices? Thanks.
just realized that Jake pretty much demoed The Summer Jam for us before Clear released... o.O
misha did the same thing with zero in his pickup sig video haha
You should have called it "Tighten".
Or "Titan S".
Or budget aftermaths
Tighten, Chuggernauts and Ohmega
I love his ambient clean stuff. That tone just sounds amazing.
Cool. this is the riff for "the Summer Jam" off of Clear. Can't wait to hear the whole thing
The D Ac neck model will work well with a Crunch Lab, but I would not describe it as warm-sounding. It is bright-sounding, compared to most neck pickups. If you prefer a warm sound, you might like a LiquiFire or Gravity Storm neck model.
Damn he looks different without the beard :D
hand down the most beautiful Ibanez I've seen.
On par with MMM1 imo.
@@Eugensson I adore the mmm1
Hi, The Titans will be available in all DiMarzio standard colors. (see Color Option on the theDiMarzio website).
All the best,
Larry DiMarzio

Hi, I think it will become part of the Ibanez Artist series next year.
All the best,
Larry DiMarzio

This particular sound he plays will be in clear
cant wait for the full track..:D
The Titan is included in the picker. It appears most often in the Progressive/Fusion category.
His demo songs are fucking insane! I hope they get used in periphery.
Summer song!
These pickups came up on the pickup finder when I selected Jazz, classic amp, mahogany guitar, and more harmonics. 🤔 would love to hear them in standard tuning
the clean sound give me shivers beyond description :O
I have the Titan bridge in my Gibson SG, it sounds SICK!
sick in a good way ??
That clean passage at the end, oh my god...
Currently using a Titan neck pickup and a Crunchlab bridge pickup in my 7-string.
It’s a great combination
I think a Transition bridge model or Illuminator bridge model might be better choices for a good balance between overdriven and clean sounds.
I really love, how Jake plays these beautiful clean lines. Just amazing! :)
One of the coolest guitars I've ever seen, such a sleek design. Need a 7-string version)
I have one and it's amazingggg
Deathshuck well now there is and its half the price!
Can't wait for the production model to go!
The clarity and note definition of these pickups sound pretty damn good.
Very nice pickup design and tone. I really appreciate the efforts Dimarzio is putting in the modern high gain ballpark.
Wow that's one beautiful guitar and totally awesome sound
I tabbed out the clean passage at the end. It's GP5 if anyone wants it.
Could you send it to me Matt.schnorfy@gmail
and me please
sidorowvik@gm
send it to my as well please. sandersn79@gmail
Woah! Please, oskar.pajunen@hotm ail
could you be so kind and send it to me too please? filipepassoscoelho@gmail.com
thanks a lot Nick!
intro song coming on the clear album
honestly my favorite pickup out of the 3
Sounds:
0:00 - 1:03 (Dist.)
2:03 - 2:22 (Clean)
2:48 - 3:06 (Dist.)
3:49 - 4:16 (Dist.)
4:25 - 4:32 (Dist.)
4:51 - 5:49 (Clean)
Awesome pickups and great guitarist, btw.
When will these pickups be released in Europe? Can't find a store yet that hase 'em
Methinks you can just order them straight from DiMarzio's site.
Jake is a pretty stellar guy and a great player, so I don't get why anyone would dislike this video
Woah, these pickups sound amazing, just wonderful!!!
Nice defined punchy crunch...no smearing fuzzy slop...might be including these in my build..
I'm digging the riffs! Epic as always Jake!
Thank you!!! I finally got hold of a dealer who has ordered them and I will be able to purchase!
JAKE I NEED THE NEW PERIPHERY TO LIVE. No but seriously I can't wait you and everyone else in Periphery are such huge inspirations to me.
Such a cool patch on the passage he finished with haha. Awesome guitarist.
Someone should tab this riff. I love it. It is absolutely gorgeous.
MrCS2K Well here it is www.songsterr.com/a/wsa/periphery-jake-bowen-clean-passage-tab-s396545t0
I'll definitely be looking into these pickups, they sound great
that guitar is CLEAN AF bro damn it has the perfect amount of metal vibes in it without being too much
Yes, but you might also look at the Transition neck model.
shitted my pants when i heard the first riff but the clean channel with effects left me speechless. what a damn good pickup
Yes, they will :)
Jake says it's a signature in the video.
The bridge model should be flexible enough to do this, but you might want a brighter pickup in the neck position like a Dominion neck model. .
Sounds crisp. Dig the gold too.
4:44 oh my god this sounds fantastic! hope this tune will be on his electrinic album
Tried these on my friends guitar. best pickups i have ever played
That guitar is gorgeous !
I guess the opening riff is in his song on Clear. Sounds the exact same.
it is! you're correct!
Man that clean tone... axe fx? Fuck.... I love em so much
Finally! Players that deserve signature gear are actually getting it!
Theyre coming out with one. The one in this video. He hasn't said when the release date is though
Dat tone is out of this world
Outstanding playing! really cool that he jammed with John Petrucci.
The first set of riffs are from the summer jam right? So that's why the song felt familiar when clear came out. :0
Larry, really interested in getting a set of these for my 7 string when you guys release the Titans in a 7 form, but I'm wondering if you'll ever have the covers as an option for the 7 string pickups, these in particular?

I think he uses a tremol-no on his guitars still.
If you set up for a "Dive only" functions, it will change tunings fine.
I think he means how well it'll intonate in said tunings, and how well it'll hold tune
Apparently the neck pickup sounds great in the bridge too!
This is honestly a shot in the dark, but I'm willing to bet it's some ambient patches for the Axe Fx II.
When is the 7 string set coming out!!!!
I been asking for the 7 string version, hope they release it
mav5150 i was chatting with him at a recent show and asked him and he said they should be dropping this summer he promises :D
Sebastian Tinajero Cool man, is good to know that
I seriously think you should be able to buy Dimarzio pickups direct from them/the website, because I can not find these anywhere
Way better than the Misha Bareknuckles!!! I'm gonna get the neck pickup, sounds great!
If there is a 7 string version i will buy it, always loved his LACS titan!!
Hope that guitar will be next year production model
One of the nicest Ibanez i've seen in years.
Cant wait for the 7 string version,,,,
Oh man, these look and sound awesome. Cool name too. Definitely want to try these out but I'd need a new guitar!! I already have Evolutions and Gravity Storms in my two guitars.
For those looking at this pickup; the titan NECK is AMAZING in the BRIDGE position!
oh yeah I second that it almost gives the guitar a strings section surrounding, I’d love to know what kind of reverb was used to achieve that, great sound.
I think he's in the same tune as scarlet: one step down the 6 and the 2 string and a half step down the 3rd. He's also down another step with all the strings
The clean tone, fuck.
i would like to hear the full song (the summer jam) !!
great demo and sound

This clean part at the end must be in the 3rd Periphery's album
I want to stick one of these in an hss start but I'm worried about matching single coils to it. Don't want srv tone in the neck and Mastodon in the bridge. Guess I'll just put a full set in my ibanez.
Nonsense Poopypants Air Norton S in the middle and neck?
cazza710 Would that be good for blues AND metal? And funk? Like rhcp? I love the tightness of this titan. But if i can't match it to something that will allow me to do all around kind of stuff then idk.... It may not be for me.
^Yes, the Air norton s will do all of that very well.
+Curtis Williams stuck them in an s series gio for shits and gigs. Think I got parvo, Cuz these puppies are sick.
That clean sound is godly. o.o
THAT TONE. I NEEDS IT.
What that amp ? Is that Axe ? What is fx signal chain on cleans ? That reverb is GREAT.
I was very iffy on these because I personally *hate* the tone that most bands have in djent bands. These though...these sounds so thick and luscious like all of my favorite Dimarzio pickups. Will buy.
Buying my first 7 string in the next couple of months. I know what pickups I will be changing to.
love the riffs!
When the hell is this guitar going to be available to the public?
Great Guitar - love the gold hardware!
The 7 strings version is available??? not yet? anyone knows?
Daniel Calderón C. Hi, The new Titan 7s are coming out this fall.
All the best,
Larry DiMazrio
LarryDiMarzio FINALLY !! Let's earn money for those 7 string guys! GREETINGS FROM CHILE !! :)
LarryDiMarzio Great! Now just make your 7-string pickups available in a soapbar mount for all of us that have 7-string guitars that came with active pickups.
LarryDiMarzio When are coming out the pickups? October? September? I can't wait !! i'm just so excited to put a set of Titans on my custom 7 string !!
+LarryDiMarzio do these pickups have enough low end ?
I'm more excited at the fact that we might be listening to some potentially new Periphery material here!

I was looking into a liquifire in the neck. Seemed to be what I’d like. Maybe you will too?
Hi, Yes, please checkout the DiMarzio website for more complete information.
Regards,
Larry DiMarzio
My dad said he'll get this guitar for me! :D
Hank Hill around $2200
DeeZaster
Yep my bad.
Digging that guitar.
Great sound
Outro sounds amazing, started off like the intro from Lune.
FOR Jake Bowen
yes new album
I'm going to need to know what the song was that he played right at the end. Sounded incredible.

Is that a d7diminished at 4:04?
no major 7 i think, followed by a maj.9 lead run.
got the set, sounds very much like this and as he described
