Hey dude great vid! Whats the range of the raveneye? I was thinking about buying one just to control my cam on range for taking vids of myself. Would that work?
@@user-dh5fp4gw1b that's a really good question, and I have no idea the answer to it. I haven't experienced any dropouts in the same room. This is probably dependant on your device's wifi range as you're using your device's wifi to connect to the RavenEye's wifi. So depending on how well your device can pick up that connection? I'll have to test that out with my iPhone!
@@keith-knittel its actually a pretty great idea like, lets say you want to take a pic for insta or something. Never do u have to use a remote for your camera anymore u can watch the screen and get a nice composition and just take the pic like that
I agree, I paid a lot of money for Edelkrone slider and Headplus and it’s nothing but trouble. I live in Canada and every time I’m out in the cold it fails. I’ll bet DJI could build something that really works well.
@@javajack-1 I have a dead simple slider that was ~€350 and I'm going to try balancing the RS over the centre of the railing using the extension arm/foot and a cheese plate - it should be able to track subjects using raveneye
Just got the gimbal after the Crane and Crane 2S....this is a sweet setup. The tips to turn off features not needed is quite useful. The entire video is good.
Glad it helped, and thanks for the kind words! I have the Crane 2S as well and find myself reaching for the RS2 more often but those are great back up or secondary gimbals. Thanks for the kind words, Amir!
Great getting the list of shortcuts at the end. I have to agree - switch (almost) everything off and add in only what you need. Tech is designed to be feature packed, but it intrudes on usability. Thanks so much for this video.
The tips about locking the screen and turning a load of stuff off were great, as was the using the controls to get sports mode, which I prefer for more natural movement. Just got mine yesterday and really enjoying the improvements over the original Ronin-S, which has done me great service.
Thank you for the kind words and watching! Hope you found the video useful - the RS2 has a bit of a learning curve (for me at least) but hope to level that out
Great video , thanks Keith . A lot to take in , but put across in a straightforward and understandable manner ....thanks again , any updates please do another .
Great tips! Mines been in the box for a while - I found it cumbersome and frustrating. This answers a load of questions - going to give it another go.❤
Glad you like them! The shortcuts were something that I forgot, so I included them in this video - glad they were helpful! Thanks for watching and the feedback
I thought saying to turn off features would be a little controversial, but glad other people like to turn off features that they don’t use! Thanks for the kind words
Thank you for a great video Keith. It’s well-paced, clearly explained and well-presented, with lots of really useful information and ideas. It’s helped me get to know my new RS2 really quickly - much quicker than I expected🙂
Thank you for the menu lock! First time using it, I was constantly making un-wanted changes. Also, be sure to really, and I mean really tighten you locks on the RS 2. Shooting from a Heli, I got some un-wanted vibrations and I think it was mainly not really tightening down on the clamps on the carbon arms.
Ooh man, that sounds fun! Shooting from a helicopter sounds like a great time, were you using super smooth on your RS2? That's supposed to eliminate any micro jitters from things like that. I use Super Smooth when filming the car videos on my channel and have had some great results. Thanks for the kind words and watching!
Had to figure out how to use this when I first set it up and decided to share what I figured out, glad it was helpful! Thanks for the kind words and watching!
Glad you enjoyed the video! I'm never sure how in-depth to go with these videos. I want them to be informative, but not boring. I figured balancing was something you really only need to learn once, so I left it out. Thanks for the feedback!
Thank you fo this awesome video. I’m a new gimbal user and would love to see more. DJI and their tutorials are not always the best and as of now there are none, I would love more tips and tricks about the cables and set ups... thanks again.
