Except we don't use pinks and corals. We use green like our beautiful tidal grasses. We also have dark floors with light rugs because we get snow. What she is showing you is summer home rental Hamptons, not Hampton homes.

We use greens here. You're missing all of our beautiful tidal grasses. We do not use coral colors or pinks here either. We get snow. We have oak floors with light rugs. Please stop ignoring that our island is off the coast of New York. We live here all year.

As someone who has lived in the Northeast my entire life, New Jersey to be specific I understand the importance of designing a space that looks great and functions well in our snowy climate. With my background in interior design, including a degree from The Parsons School of Design,(New School University)in NYC I am equipped to offer suggestions that respect the foundational principles of a design style while also allowing for personal flair.
The design choices you mentioned sound quite personal as they should be but you mentioned WE as if you are speaking collectively for the entire residents of the island. Design is not a one-size-fits-all approach. While it's important to consider the core principles of a style, there's always room for creativity and personalization. After all, your home is your sanctuary, and it should reflect your unique style and taste and not that of others which I highly encourage in all the content that I create and homes that I have designed.
