Tend to have good luck flipping structure in the canals. Grocery carts, sofas, toy cars, fridges, and what ever else people decide to throw in the canals. Also have good luck with square bills and spinnerbaits.
Yo around 40th Street and whitton by Indian School The Grand canal you can catch as many tiny bass as you want.! Lots of shopping carts and you can watch homeless people bathe right next to you and pass by constantly. But if you watch your stuff in your armed it's a great place to fish great part of the canal minus the hood
This one is out in chandler, the one by the cardinals stadium in a good one! Same process, look for stairs and any overhangs and work a Ned rig, or a light Texas rig along those structures.
Good stuff, man! This looks pretty close to me. Haven’t fished since I was in my teens (“fished” 😂). I need to get out there. But the heat is already hitting the valley. Have you been up north? (Payson/Tonto, etc) Ive seen some good streams with trout. Plus, it’s cooler! Tight lines! 🎣
@@SouthwestFishing nice I thought it was a Phenix feather at first. Looks like a great rod, and great video as well. Were I fish there’s a ton of irrigation canals here in the Imperial Valley.

Is there better city’s you think have more fish or do you go all over
Fish are everywhere for the most part. West side of valley ponds are better for me and east side canals

What you recommend for lures or bait
Paddletails, grubs, small craws, Ned rigs, senkos are my top five but many baits/lures catch fish!
Thanks will try them out

I’m gonna be getting up north a lot more this summer! Super excited to do some series up there!
I lost a 5-6 pounder on a drop shot Ned rig worm. It sounds funky but it works
That slays match the hatch! I did that a lot with the Zmans and xzone neds
I was Literaly at the bridge and drain two days ago someone caught a 8 pounder right there by the intersection
That’s awesome! There are some bigs in the system!
