Right on, man thanks for reminding others about protecting the fish from heat damage. That DG sucks the moisture right out of them and weakens their abilities to fight off infections and parasites.
Everyone please be careful fishing these canals. Some places depending where you go, are Steep and slippery, and you really don't want to fall in. Good luck to you all, I've learned alot from this man 🤘
The canals are really dangerous, they are slippery and with the current, if the water is deep it could be bad. Always stay aware before you whack some bass!
Got a few 3+ pounder’s at a good spot I found on Google earth in the canal, also was seeing 15 or more trout very large too. How do I DM you for the spot so you can try it out
Change your frame rate to 30FPS not 60FPS when you take video... going to give you the cinematic look. Like a movie look. I'd even go to 4k 24.9FPS. FPS = Frames per second
@@SouthwestFishing Yeah on everything! Id leave the 4k on both but definitely change your frame rate to 24.9 or 30. On the Lumix change your shutter speed to 1/50 if you use 24.9 FPS or shutter speed to 1/60 if you use 30 FPS
Dude your thumbnails are “Classic”! Southwest fishing in the house! 👍
Thank you! I do have to upgrade them a little though.
You are definitely the canel king brother
I appreciate it!

Always! There’s no reason to have to fake anything.
Just finish looking at your dad video looking and paning some gold.
Heck yeah he’s always out there digging!
Dang! I dont even gets bites in the canal!! Great video!
The canals are awesome! Fish around stairs, ladders and broken concrete and you’ll get them!
@@SouthwestFishingI’ve watched for videos multiple times and have yet to catch a canal bass based on everywhere you’ve said to fish. Still no luck.
Gonna start throw this tilapia glide (that's like 4") around in the canals. How do you like the canal behind the hospital on Dobson?
That canal is awesome it has a ton of species in it!
keep up the work man❤
Will do!
Living near Old Town Scottsdale, I dont know why I have fished the canals yet! On average, how deep are the canals??
The canals in Scottsdale tend to be a little deeper, I would say 8 foot to 12 foot. But in Mesa Chandler they are max 6 feet.
Caught a decent size carp here this morning
Big carp and cats in the canals!
@@SouthwestFishing just caught a my first canal bass here a couple hours ago. I picked up a jig to try after seeing this video!
I had no idea the Canals had Fish! I’m gonna have to try this! Thanks man!🙏🫡Tightlines 🎣

On Instagram swfishing101
That’s awesome, on instagram is the beat
Very large trout in the phx canals? Pretty sure you were seeing some grass carp
What are the names of the canals you fish usually? If you don’t mind sharing
Eastern, Roosevelt (technically not aloud to fish those), all SRP canals
It’s true I’ve been kicked off Roosevelt plenty of times. Thanks man!
what are your most successful spots on the canals i’m having trouble finding spots or maybe it’s a bait issue. any suggestions?
Heavy current and shade this time of year! Try finesse baits like Ned’s and DS
Great video bro! I’ve heard stories of monsters 6+ lbs in there
There are some giants in the canal system!
Love your excitement when getting a bite, keep making awsome content
I appreciate it! We are out fission right now!
What are you using for a trailer
