I miss my old 1992 Sentra SE-R. That was a fun little car with balls. I could take off pealing the tires 1st, then chirp the tires after shifting 2nd. I bought it with a little bit of rust under the bottom rocker panels, I regret not getting that removed. It didn't take long for to nearly consume the car. I unfortunately treated it like a Rally machine and it cost me in repairs. It taught me to treat my cars with more TLC. Oh ya, I replaced the standard air filter with a K&N too. I loved that "whoop" sound I got when I stepped on the gas.
i just got a 1992 nissan sentra today from nj and besides bumps and bruises its amazing no problems at all that i see, engine sounds amazing ive definitely become a nissan fan and this is my first car aswell so ive really satisfied
Yea if it was taken care of barely anything goes wrong on it if it's an automatic you might have to replace the governor gear in the transmission but it's easy and the gear is like $20 and the car will shift like brand new again
Where did you get this information? It's not always necessarily about the year. Though chassis model is generally applied to years of production, the B13 is a code applied to these type of Nissan: 4 door saloons, 2 door saloons, and the NX1600 and NX2000. These models are sold all over the world at DIFFERENT YEARS! In fact, they still sell the B13 4 door saloon under the name Tsuru in Mexico up until 2009!
Speakers in the rear were definitely a bit larger. The trunk's carpet was cutout from new material. Not a full reupholster, but definitely necessary. Usually the leaking water comes from the taillight's sealing deteriorating over time and water seeping through to the trunk. You can use RTV black silicone to reseal around the taillights. Also these cars are notorious for water leaks so periodically check for water build up in the trunk and carpet so you don't get mold and mildew.
@ImportRacer10 no, I just got the car painted and went through an automated car wash for the first time after a month. B13 sentras are notorious for having water leak into the trunk space. Fortunately, this car had no water leaks and the plastic bags were dry after the car wash.
yep those sentras are fast as hell the rpms just keep goin when you put it to the floor, i had one bud i swapped the engine for a 6cyl infinity engine 407hp, 390hp to tires
Not that this is going to stop your hateful ranting, but the car does not have just a fart can. It is a 4-2-1 manifold to a custom built 2.25" mandrel bend (not crush bend) exhaust with 2 resonators and a dual tip muffler to look near stock and sound deep. I do not automatically think the car is fast, it's not even fast! It's around 120 whp to the wheels. I never wanted it to be loud, but that's what a full exhaust does. Sorry if the car sounds like a lawnmower to you. Thanks for returning!
nice! I have a '92 Nissan Sentra XE with a custom tailpipe, 6.5" speakers, and the rest is all OEM. Props to you...quick question though, do the 205/50/15 wheels/tires rub against the car at all? I been meaning to put some new ones but im not sure if you had to custom around all that or its all fine...
heyyyyy i have this car! i love the modifications you've done! two questions 1) when you swapped out the radio, what size speakers did u go with? (did u keep the 4'x6' s or go larger?) 2) did you have your trunk reupholstered? mine seems to have a slight leak and i'm not sure how to prevent the material in there from losing it's luster. i'd appreciate any feed back! it's pretty difficult getting honest answers from mechanics when they see a girl driving one of these things :/
Not sure if you can get them from the dealer these days but they are the original OEM Nissan SE-R ones. They even came with fog covers that say NISSAN on them. Your best bet would be from a junk yard SE-R or on classified ads on the forums
Yes bumper is 91-92. I prefer 93-94, but the Mazda 626 lip fits nicely on the 91-92 bumpers. GT-S Sunny bumpers would have been my preferred choice but they are expensive!
@suprakilla2JZ Wow, ASE Certified for over six years and you still believe in backpressure being needed? Ideally, backpressure should be near zero, but your exhaust flow velocity should be high. Too much backpressure and you deal with exhaust reversion. Unless you know his engine and have extensively tested the engine/exhaust combination for flow velocity, you really don't know if his exhaust kills power or not. Anything else?
@suprakilla2JZ Thanks, I love cars of all kinds even if they sound like this =) True car enthusiasts appreciate any type of build whether it be big or small. I've owned all types of engines and driven quite a few fast ones owned friends and from 4 cylinder turbo to V8 each guy has their own passion and don't hate on others except on biased ignorance.
