- This was my third time on the track at Red Star Raceway (South Africa). It was another successful day and by that I mean no falls... It was a lovely, hot and sunny day. The track surface was hot, so we we had some good grip, even without tire warmers and stock Metzeler tires.
I just love the bike on the track. It is such an amazing bike with all the electronics assisting you to go fast. There was one time on my first session when I accelerated too hard out of a corner that the rear slided a bit, but the bike immediately gripped again saved by the traction control. After this session I checked my tire pressures and found my rear tire to be way too hard for the track temperature. I decreased the tire pressure and had no more sliding of the rear.
I still need to go faster, but I'm still learning the track lines and building more confidence.
