- This video shows how to make single braided ribbon lei with 4 ribbons. I have another two videos with 2 and 3 ribbons. I'm making other Hawaiian ribbon flowers videos, too. You can make this lei for graduation, birthday or special events. I hope this video can be helpful. Let me know if you have questions.
The materials that I used for this 42" lei :
12 yards 5/8" white grosgrain ribbon
6 yards 5/8" yellow satin ribbon
6 yards 5/8" blue satin ribbon

Yes, I like back pattern, too and yes, it can be worn that way, too. No wrong way, just put the bow on the pattern that you like 😍. When I made with glitter ribbons, the back pattern is so beautiful. Thank you for watching 😉🌸🌼.

How did you do the red black white and gold
How long of the ribbon should I cut for a great length lei
I usually cut 6 yards. And it will make about 40"-42" lei. The lei is nice to hang just by the belly button or 1"-2" a little bit higher, but not lower.
How much ribbon did you use?
In this video I use 4 ribbons, each ribbon is 6 yards. They are enough to make 42"-44" lei. Thank you for watching 😘.
do you use one whole roll of ribbon?
I use about 6 yards of ribbon for each color. I think Michael's ribbon roll is 10 yards.
What size do you get for the ribbon
For this lei I used 5/8" grosgrain ribbons. If you like a bigger lei, you can use a bigger ribbon like 7/8", but sometimes it holds differently. I like this size better.
How do you make the bow part?
