    Scissors: a set with midge tips are awesome if you're tying normal trout flies and not bigger flies.

    Is there a fly tying kit for a beginner that you would recommend?
    I mean, a cheap but not crappie one. Like The Cabela’s kit that’s like $30-$50. Can’t be good. But I feel like buying tools separately would be expensive.

    I have found a paper cutter for cutting uniform foam strips is quicker and more accurate than sissors.

    I really think a bodkin is a necessary fly tying tool and most have a half hitch tool on the other end...

      Guess he really didn't view the vise as a "tool" it seems.

    Rotary vise

    • @Madriveroutfitters
      @Madriveroutfitters  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a vise, not really a "tool". Brian doesn't use one though so you'll never hear him recommend one.
