The straw trick is brilliant! I'll never use my bobbin threader again.

My question would be, is there an actual beginners (cheap but not crappy) kit that you would recommend?

Hi, I've had so many bad experiences with cheap kits. If I was starting out from square one today, I'd probably start with the Renzetti Apprentice ghfly.shop/Apprentice
Tools can always just be purchased separately if you didn't want to get a whole kit. But the Loon Core kit is pretty killer. ghfly.shop/core
