  • The great Mussorgsky's promenade Pictures at an Exhibition with all instruments, not just piano, want just piano and with free composition? download musescore .9 for PC or mac n enjoy XD. Please subscribe, I'll be coming up with my own soon!
    Further more there may be a coypright label over it, I do not own the song but I have the CD. So I am not doing anything wrong, hopefully. D:

    So, my friend once wanted to show me a trophy he got in Civilisation Revolution. As he was talking and telling the story of how he got it, my mind wanered to the song that was playing. That's when I realised it.
    I knew that song, because we had seen the Montreal Symphonic Orchestra play it live during a concert. I shut my friend up and told him "Listen, dude. This is art. This piece is amazing."
    And then I actually listened to him, because he's my friend.

      @@TheEternalWayfarer First i happened to come across a comment in another comment section that said this. Then i looked it up, and according to bulbapedia, the 2 most influential composers for Junichi Masuda( the man behind the pokemon music), were Wassily Kandinsky and of course Mussorgsky. This suite describes different paintings through music. "Promenade" connects the pieces and represents the composer taking a stroll inbetween looking at exhibits that catch his eye. I think it fits perfectly.

    • @TheEternalWayfarer
      @TheEternalWayfarer 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@daddysasageyo6810 The other comment section was about the Oceanic Museum theme, which is a new arrangement of the SS Anne theme. But the Promenade and the Pokémon themes are totally different: different key, different time signature, different orchestration, harmonization and timing. Maybe Masuda thought about the SS Anne when it came to composing a theme for the Musem, and so as the SS Anne links different cities of the world it does represent the Promenade, or kind of... but it is a very very loose connection IMHO.

    I remember playing The Incredible Machine on a fat white plastic CRT monitor,
    and since I was about 6 or 7 I'd completely forgotten the name of the game.
    Once I finally found the song to search for I found the game in under 2 minutes.
