From parts to labor, find out the total Gallardo rebuild cost! How much money do you think I spent rebuilding my Lamborghini Gallardo after crashing it on the race track? In todays video I break down the cost of fixing my Lamborghini and all of the parts I had to buy. While I did about 90% of the work myself I did have to pay professionals to do the welding for the rear quarter panel and the paint job. Somehow I found so many amazing used parts off other Bianco Monocerus Gallardos and had every part I needed in a few months. I did buy several brand new parts as well but got lucky with the body panels being used and in fantastic shape. This was a crazy project rebuilding my crashed Lamborghini Gallardo but it was a but fun figuring out how this car is built and making sure I rebuilt the car 100% perfect! I definitely did a great job getting parts to line up lie original and got the car running in perfect shape. In total the brand new cost of the parts I bought exceeded $60,000 when you factor in shipping! But I was very diligent in buying mostly used parts and spent 1/3 of that price on the parts for my car! Still a ton of money to spend on rebuilding the Gallardo, but sometimes things happen and you have to roll with the punches. Paint would have been much more money but luckily a good friend of mine owns a phenomenal paint shop and has done several custom paint jobs on high end exotic cars. Also since I did all the tear down and rebuilding, the paint shop had no labor into paint aside from the normal paint prep. They did spend some time smoothing out the one weld line and got it to match perfect! So about $6,000 for paint was a bargain and I'm very grateful for getting a deal on that. So in total this was just under a $30,000 project and I finished the car in under 4 months. I still love the Gallardo and this was an experience I will never forget! Time to rack up some miles on the Gallardo and enjoy it for many many years!

Track rule #1: Never track a vehicle you can’t afford to total, and laugh at it afterwards with an ice cold beer. Track Miata’s, 370z’s, etc not Lambos you’re insane! But I’m glad you and wife are okay and your Lamborghini looks aces.
Yeah definitely would have been a different situation if I wasn't in the position I am with the car. That's also why I didn't buy a Huracan. I knew I could afford a Gallardo and had plenty if something happened. However it was just a charity event. We weren't even going crazy fast for the track. Oh well, car is good now ;)
Got the Lamb looking much newer than the actual year of the car! I know this was very hard on you but were able to be blessed and get through it. Its great that Mike and your parents had your back and helped along the way as well as your friends and even some strangers that stepped up to the plate. You're a warrior man, thats why we all admire you! 👊🤝

So true! Without having the goal of buying this car since I was 11. I don't think I would be even close to the position in life that I am. I used this car as motivation to work hard in every aspect of my life. So crazy to see what motivation can do!

So glad to see it back together! I was there with my dad and his friend. The end of our last session, my dad’s friend’s Audi TTRS started dumping trans fluid. We were able to get it back and it was a mistake by the dealer in service. Topped up and good to go now. That’s to say you never know, and I’m so glad ya’ll came out on top. I’ll be at VIR every year and hope to see a white Gallardo there as well. God bless and have a great one!

@@Isaiah_Keith I had my old Supra on the track and it did really well! RS has more power, but the Supra handles much better for turns I think. RS3 steering just isn’t quite as direct

Yeah labor probably would have been another $30k and they would have upcharged on parts too. So early $100k all done from a dealer. Fun to do it myself too ;)

Not sure if you considered it but the VF Engineering TCU tune is a nice bump. Just installed it on my LP560 and have driven it a few times. It’s a nice increase in shift speed. Feels good
Oh nice! I’ve heard some owners talk about that. Does it shift quick like in Corsa mode? Is it smoother too?
So all 3 modes are affected. Standard, sport and corsa. I only use corsa of course and I can tell you that the 1-2 shift is vastly improved. It feels smoother in ways but just as violent as well. It’s nice
Very cool! I pretty much leave it in Sport mode. From what I've heard thats the sweet spot to prolong clutch life. And it shifts at a good rate. I'll have to look into the VF engine and trans tune. Engine should be able to bump to the 570 HP and then I'd be nice to have a bit more response out of the trans

We'll see! I love the old school character of the Gallardo. So I don't see selling this for a Huracan. But if I could add a Huracan to the fleet, that'd be cool!

Life happens. You can't go through life thinking it will be roses and sunshines. You take risks in life and sometimes they bite you. Don't be misled and think everything will always go perfect.
And being on the race track insurance won't cover it so all out of pocket..
Yeah I didn't have a track policy since it was a charity event. Done the even 8 years in a row. But it's better I didn't use insurance too tho. Rather just pay out of pocket and fix it myself. Did it in less time, no ding on my insurance record and no ding on the cars record. So it all worked out
