Owen Martinelli Makes just as much sense as "squash him like a fly" to mean beating someone at a game. Just slang/figures of speech. "Stick a fork in him, he's done" basically the same thing as them talking about the salad, the guy is DONE. Comparing the guy to food in both cases, lol. The more you think about things people, or yourself, say everyday and take for granted, the more you'll see things are the same. "Grind his ass into dust" you're not literally taking a grindstone and sanding their buttocks into human dust... I could keep going on and on with figures of speech you've heard before and understand... it's just understanding the context of the comparative abstraction. We rarely mean things literally, almost everything is some analogy, comparison, reference, or colorful way of saying something. Even when I said winning was "beating someone" it comes back to comparing winning at a game to literally, physically, "beating" someone, as in hitting, striking, attacking them into submission, the most basic and primal way as animals we know of to ultimately establish dominance and "win." That's where that phrase comes from but people never seem to think about what's sitting right there in front of their faces like that... connect the dots people. It only seems obvious after someone else points it out apparently, but you'll still get people saying I'm just Captain Obvious when they themselves didn't even think about it beforehand or see it themselves until after the fact. Etymology: study it. It helps.

Snatcher, the Lunar games, Popful Mail, Vay, Dark Wizard, and several others. The Sega CD definitely had a strong library for the short time it existed.
I guess I'm one of the few rare people who grew up owning a Sega CD.
Owned one, still love it. Best system for RPGs and some of the ports were the bomb.

Well well well, it's 2021, and that means, you're shit outta luck.
Sega CD didn't do well cause Sega thought these FMV games would be a good idea instead of you know promoting games like Final Fight CD, The Terminator, Snatcher, Rise Of The Dragon, Batman Returns, The Space Ship Shooters. The Sega CD is actually pretty good.
Yes it's not a bad System, Wolfe n ppl like his tripping. He is playing all the wrong games. Sega should have focused on the 2D's games as a seller and used the FMV as "hype man" in background.
+Rob Kearsy : Indeed. It had enhanched versions of some games (Eternal Champions, Sonic, Ecco, Earthworm Jim, etc.). And several good point-and-click adventures as well.
That said, it's actually really REALLY hard to find a console that doesn't have at least one or two good games. Even shitfest consoles like Jaguar has Alien vs. Predator and Tempest 2000, 3DO has Need for Speed and Street Fighter II Turbo, Lynx has several ones including the best home conversion of Toki ever made, Virtual Boy has Wario Land and Red Alarm, 32X has Knuckles Chaotix, Virtua Fighter and Virtua Racing. CDI and Pippin were total, unredeemable shit, tho.

Also remember Lunar came out on Sega CD. Games I like are Popful Mail, Sol-Feace, and Lunar (I prefer the original, since remakes changed a bit too much).

You did miss the top two Sega CD games: Lunar The Silver Star and Lunar Eternal Blue. I had a Sega CD just for those two games and they're awesome. They would later be ported to the PS1, but the original Eternal Blue was so much better (though the Silver Star port was superior).
another great games Shadow of the Beast 2, Secret of Monkey Island, Terminator, Snatcher, Final Fight CD, Samurai Shodown, Fatal Fury Special, Sonic CD, Popful Mail, Silpheed, Aleste, Spiderman vs Kingpin, Vay, Sol Feace..
Tbh Sonic CD made great use of the extra storage and sound quality of a CD-ROM, the soundtrack is incredible and the gameplay is fine

After coming back to rewatch some of your older videos, i'm so glad you switched the 8-bit rendition of your theme.
I had a Sega CD when I was a kid. I'd have to say it was one of the most entertaining systems I had as a kid. My friends and I all loved it. Back then games with video in them were unheard of, you have to remember this was at a time when the only systems available were the Super Nintendo and Turbo Graphix 16.

Yeah but games like lunar and lunar 2 sonic CD made it great..yes it was plagued by awful games.

It is nice to see that some of these games that were thought were to never be released on modern platforms have been, after all, like Ground Zero: Texas, Double Switch, Night Trap, and Corpse Killer, often with bonus content and enhanced video.

Hey I had a Sega Cd. Sewer Shark is tough but once you get the hang of it you can go pretty far. Also it was just cool playing games on discs back then. You could also play CDs!
