Great utilization of simple, modern, relatively inexpensive tools to capture almost Hollywood quality cinematography. Good production and editing. Beautiful scenery and appropriate amount of narration. God bless!
We used to camp in the Groot Rivier Poort when I was a kid in the 1980s before we moved to Australia. I still remember it well despite how long ago it was. We would take out Kombi Van and cross the river, which was exciting. Sometimes walk up-river for an hour or so and camp under a huge yellow-wood tree. I nearly stood on a puff adder on the way back once, which I still remember well, as it gave me a hell of a fright. Thanks for making the video and bringing back old memories!!!
The filmingangles...the droneshots....the music and the editing.....respect Matt. Damn. I've never cared about going nomadding with a selfbuild and modded 4x4....but this film makes me want to go .
Very nice capture of an area we used to travel a lot in the 90s. Seeing it from the drones perspective is awesome. You get to see just what craziness you actually drive through. Beautiful
Absolutely stunning scenery, very well captured on video, great job with that. And yes it is very much like Arizona. Thanks for sharing your adventure with us all.....
Truly Inspirational .. so glad I found your Channel, Matt. Been through a couple of times. Also on my bicycle (Transbaviaans) As you said, you cannot see enough of it. Always different. Thanks
AIsh love the vid bud but the speed version makes me dizzy and I miss the scenery, I know you live there and take it for granted or maybe just want to get from A to B without boring the viewer but the country is so beautiful I could watch it all day. Great stuff otherwise I watched the long trip up to Namibia through Vic Falls and back all night last night, brought back so many memories as Ive done that area way back in the 70's when I was a yougster
As usual Matt, the filming is outstanding! And what a country, am only 10 minutes in and had to write a comment. Did you meet any other people on this route?
Its a terrible road! A Toyota Corolla tried to overtake me and rolled right in front of me. Would have gone into me if I didn’t brake as I saw him trying to overtake. One of the reasons we got to camp late😂
@@mattdubber thats what always irritates me especially on dirt roads. When someone overtakes you on a dusty road when you driving 100kmph and then they drive 80kmph in front of you. Some people also don't have any patients. Glad you guys are ok. I Would have been very angry if that idiot damage my new bakkie after you spend so much money on it to get it where it is. My friend was in a head to head collision in town with a taxi. He has an ARB bumper on his mazda bakkie. The taxi was moertoe. Could not drive anymore. He only had to get a new indicator lens cover. R12. LOL
Have i been under a rock and missed the part where Matt got married? Congratulations.

Matt this is live to end the day with a fire awesome
8 of my friends and myself did the same route in Dec last year, we took 4 days to complete, alot of beers later
The views and the music are beautiful.
Another drone led masterpiece. These are so good, and informative.
I've seen Itchy Boots do part of it on a 250cc Honda. 😊
Me too.
Excellent video, from photography, maps, titles, audio, narration, editing, everything. Well done!

Beautiful video… couldn’t help wondering about wild animals in that region?
Nice film! Any interested in trying out our B4 3 colors led bulbs or 6 modes led light bar? 😀
Reminds me of itchy Boots trip there.
Thanks man. I have to do this.
👏 excellent shots! How do you get those perfect angles!!
Awesome trip this and great footage! Do you have the tracks to share please?
Howzit. Like the videos and how you go about inviting us along. Shot boet! What tent you using? Appreciate - take care
That's a trip my late father and I always talked about. It's on my bucket list for next year. What do you reckon is the best time of year to do it?
If you are camping, winter is probably not best! But if you like empty campsites, then winter is best😂
@@mattdubber winter it is then
Matt I am keen on doing this trip but have an xt140 trailer. In your opinion is it possible? Tow vehicle is a Hilux 2.8.
Hi Matt. What navigation system do you use?
Great music around 15:00
Anyone any idea?
Hi Matt is it possible to contact you for some information about routes through Baviaanskloof , my wife and i want to do a trip in December
Hello Matt, do you run wheels spacers on your Hilux ? or do the K02 tyres fit just fine?
No spacers needed, they fit fine
We drove that single cement road when we went hunting in 2018. Willomore hunt.
