    When you mentioned Brian Setzer from the Stray Cats bought the Interceptor I couldn’t help but think that Royal Enfield is the great equalizer. Rich guys want them, and poor guys can afford them. What a bike. Wahoo!
    PS: I used to sing the Stray Cat Strut on karaoke nights. 😎

      Yes, you're right. RE is the great equalizer. Baxter's has been around since the 70's and sells many classic/vintage motorcycles. I'm told they have a long & interesting list of unique customers. PS the bike Setzer bought was a RE Continental GT...I put the Zard pipes on it...before he bought it. Beautiful motorcycles. Wahoo!

    Nice mellow ride Fuzzy!
    No need for aftermarket noise.
    Here in Vegas we have the midnight Yahoo,'s that scream up and down the main roads at 2,3,4 in the morning.
    Must be traveling 100 miles an hour and in the valley...the sound just echoes....... almost every single night. No need for alarm clocks here.
    Your roads...EMPTY. Good lord, how sweet that must be.

    Western world was unaware of this fun machine, they only knew classic but i have been enjoying since 2010 on my erstwhile thunderbird 350 (on my profile)and now hunter 350, the engine has serious character and despite its smaller size as compared to heavyweights it is very much a hoot to drive and handle.

    I love my Hunter. Really is a great urban commuter. It just falls into corners. A tacho would be nice. But modern bikes have rev limiters so they are hard to break. My only complaint is REs run-in period of 2000km. Nearly there . 😀

    • @olegknowsbest4971
      @olegknowsbest4971 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Doesn't a long run-in period mean that the engine is having bigger tolerances inside? Back in the day you needed to run in a car for 1500 or so.. these days not so anymore. Could mean that RE still is having a lesser modern way of making engines. Which is totally fine of course..

  • @d.4tay549

    The Hunter really loves to be in that sweet spot of the 3rd and 4th gears. Is that exhaust a lot louder than the stock exhaust? I think the stock exhaust sounds pretty darn good as well. The RE bar end mirrors are excellent. Perfect bike for the back roads, blue highways of Missouri, Iowa too. I am surprised I do not see more of them on the road. Pick one up for $3,500 used, or less. Low miles. The flat seat is great. Brakes are excellent. Your review is right on.

      So several of us have rode this bike and top speed seems to be all over the place...as is the weights of the different riders. At one point I thought I had this bike up to 78 mph. Also, with this pipe the bike seemed to get right up to speed. You can see in the first pass how it just picks up speed right up to the 76 indicated. Im thinking we may have to do some speed testing...if Baxters is willing. Wahoo! PS my GPS claimed a top speed of 75 on my Classic...going down hill behind a big truck. Again...Wahoo!

    Hi, Love your videos on the RE line up. Matter of fact I am chatting with Jeremy at Baxter about a purchase! Quick question on seat height on the Hunter 350s/this bike. I am 5'6" and 30" inseam, how is the stock seat height on this one from your perspective (for flat footing). They say its about 31.3" which should be about right for me but never know if those dimensions listed are truly accurate! Thanks for the awesome content!

      @forgottenmotorcycles  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for watching. Please say hello to Jeremy for me :) Yes, seat is about 31.1 inches or so. The bike is also very narrow so it feels lower than this number might suggest. I too have a 30 inch inseam and find this bike very comfortable. For comparison; the Himalayan has a 31.5 inch seat and feels much taller than the Hunter. Great bike! A Svartpilen 401 is $5699. Not knockin' the Hunter but the Svart will run circles around it and it looks great. Unfortunately they are nearly impossible to get and if you get lucky you'll pay well over list price. Edit: I just checked my local dealer, there are 13 2023 Svartpilen 401s in stock My how things have changed in such a short time.

      You're correct about that 401. Actually tried to buy one before getting my Himalayan. Took a heap of work to find one and when I did the dealer was not...well, I wasn't impressed. Was sure that service and warranty would be a problem. Would love to ride one, actually, would really love to ride that 701. Unfortunately, the 701 isn't available in the USA new today. These bikes seem like brilliant motorcycles. Wish they had good US support. Wahoo!

      @@forgottenmotorcycles Don't get me wrong, I like the Hunter and small motorcycles in general. I just checked the local dealer, they have 13 2023 Svartpilen 401s in stock. I'd call that a glut. I have a 2022 Vitpilen 401. No problems in 7 months of ownership, dealer 9 miles away.
      I live in SoCal, ride year round. I love the Vit.

      @@georgekrpan3181 our closest dealer is 80 mi away and treats the motorcycle like a side product. If circumstances were better I would certainly love to have one :-)

    For a 350 too heavy and under powered.
