Hunter top model is onroad 1.9 lakhs and the speed 400 is exshowroom 2.33 lakhs which is roughly 2.9 lakhs onroad. A huge gap of 1 lakh. No customer of hunter will shift to speed 400.
Current owners may not switch, but new buyers will definitely consider

My height is 6 , I have a red & black hunter rabel which looks much better than Triumph and the riding experience is excellent 👌 so no regret both bikes are good in their sections in terms of cost.. Triumph costs 40K more that's why it has very few better features but it's all about money you can pay more and get a better bike than Triumph and hunter ... this video is good but don't feel regret and enjoy your ride with your bike doesn't matter whether it's splendor , BMW or Ninja.. etc and ride carefully

Because of my needs I own a bigger bike, but I have the dream to buy a RE Hunter as a second bike, to ride peacefully alone on secondary roads. It’s just lovely.
I think hunter is better for under 6ft hight.

Your opinion, for 1. Bullet base model for 1.75 lakh or hunter base model with reborn suspension, handle bar risers and padded seat (approx 7 k) for 1.57 approx , should I save 16 k with hunter or buy bullet base with extra 16k , I am a budget buyer.
In the uk the Hunter will still have it's place.
I think it will be at least 25% cheaper here.
Also parts will be cheaper and it's a simpler bike in general.
Also it has a different character and if you never break the speed limit you'll never miss the top end.
I'm going for the Triumph myself but the Hunter will still sell well.

On road price is 2.7 lacs which is around 70k more than hunter, so I would wait for triumph 250

After riding hunter for more than 2k kms I can say I feel lack of power on this bike. I would have definitely bought triumph over hunter. I was very sad after hearing the price of triumph because I own the hunter. Well have to live with what I have😢

Few misinformation in this video. Firstly Hunter 350's ex-showroom price for Rebel variant is around 174000. That makes it cheaper by 59k in ex-showroom price. The difference in on-road price will be even bigger. Hunter's fuel tank is 13 litres and not 15 litres. That's same as Speed 400. And Triumph doesn't have bluetooth connectivity. Speed 400 is ahead of Hunter if they were priced similarly. Hunter is definitely value for money for that price. But if you consider the Classic 350 which is priced very close to the Triumph, Speed 400 is far ahead of Classic 350.

Talk about fuel efficiency as well . 350 cc long stroke gives 35 -45 kmpl easily . 400 cc short Stoke can never touch that part which is crucial for maximum riders who would use for daily comutation. Power delivery is sufficient for 99 % of Indian roads .Triumph is just Dominor with new skin .
Onroad price would almost 70k+ difference.
But EOD speed 400 will be deal breaker😊

Still I'll choose hunter 350 anyday. The rear look of hunter 350 is unmatched. Rahe baat ROYAL ENFIELD ki ye ek brand and emotion hain which can't be compared, mohalle me sab bolega arey bullet chalata hain. But triumph k nam humare parents k generation ko pata hi nehi hain max cases.

In Bangalore Hunter top variant costs 2.18L and speed 3.05L.
These price are exact as i recently went showroom to check.
But im considering dapper its 2.20L with accessories and Hunter 3.10 with accessories.
So is Speed worth 90K more ?

I had meteor 350 and i sold recently
My wife bought a hunter 350 (hunter have 13L fule tank too)and i am also riding it. it’s feels super nice to me even the same engine of meteor 350 but felt more sporty
and also booked speed 400 for me
But am confused that is it going to be an upgrade over meteor 350/hunter 350 or should i go for interceptor 650?
If you are going for I650 then you would be getting much better torque, bhp, and most importantly, SOUND. Twin is a twin any day and it is absolutely delightful to hear while riding. I Booked speed already. But if I had the money to buy and fill the I650's stomach, I would still choose that.

Just go for the interceptor 650. Hunter 350 and Speed 400 as well as the Harley X440. These are all in the same bracket. If you want an upgrade in your performance, just go for the interceptor 650.

In India it's probably not as hard a decision due to pricing.
In the UK I think there will be £1800 between the hunter and the speed 400. Going by estimated dealer prices.

I know the Triumph looks great and goes faster but the hunter costs less and will have better fuel consumption.
And during daily riding you may not even use the extra speed.
Also will the less refined engine of the triumph bother me.

I'm sorry brother but this comparison makes no sense....ex-showroom price Mai you don't get the bike... Hunters top model is still lesser than triumphs ex-showroom, on-road mai almost 1 lakh difference....it might not be huge for richies but for a middle class family it makes a huge difference in consideration.... plus mostly young guys would opt for loan and that's where the difference increases...you didn't try to demean the hunter but the boys really felt bad about it and it's not their fault ....A lot of people will still go for hunter just for the price it comes at

I have hunter 350 i bought it for 2.17 on road but i think u better compare triumph speed 400 with dominor 400 because speed 400 when it comes to on road it costs about 2.6 , initially i thought of buying a 150cc , when i saw hunter 350 i extended the budget and planed to hunter 350 so the hunter 350 is extremely hpy for me , here is a good suggestion who want to buy classic 350 , ktm duck 250 or 390 , dominor 400 u guys can blindly go for speed 400 because it is more sportier soo smooth, fully refined engine, light weight, fully led lights, more over it is a triumph soo before u buy a bike pls test ride it first
The ex showroom price of Hunter 350 rebel & the dapper series is 1.75 & 1.70 lakh, respectively & not 1.89 or 1.90 lakh.

The only disadvantage is that , u would have to get this serviced at triumph showrooms , not at bajaj. Karnataka has 1 showroom, kerala has 1 showroom, this is not possible for everyone. They must allow it to be serviced by bajaj or should introduce more service centres . Thing is the only downside to buying the triumph

That's why i am confused. For me RE makes more sense as service is nearest. I live in hilly area, so it's not possible for me to travel another city (7-9hr) for bike service whenever needed.

first of all, the ex-showroom price of Hunter Rebel is around 1.74L and Speed 400 is 2.33L. So you pay 60K more on the ex-showroom price.
By saying 30K difference you are misleading the customers.
Secondly, the on road price of Hunter is around 2.05L which includes extended warranty.
Triumph is yet to announce the price of extended warranty.

I test rode the Hunter 350 and it just felt like an overweight sluggish bike to me. Same with the Interceptor I rode. I can't justify a 350cc motorcycle with only 20HP. My suzuki GSX 150 is 19HP. I'm in the queue for the Triumph speed 400 in my country...maybe in March. The Triumph is about $600US more than the Hunter in my country...well worth it. I don't care about things like the "exhaust note", those things can be tuned. I want better performance for when I need it. Thanks for the video.

Speed 400 comes around 3 lakhs onroad and Hunter comes around 2.2 lakhs.. Its not 30k difference.. below 2 lkahs ex showroom bikes will have lesser tax compare to greater than 2 lakhs
see if you're above 5'6 speed 400 is the best choice, below 5'6 go with hunter. Leg reach is important. When you're testing you're bike you should test to take reverse while sitting in the bike. If you can't pull it then simply it's not your bike.
Speed 400 need to work hard more to grab the market of RE. Major problem with speed 400 is it doesn’t come with double stand.. how irritating it would for speed 400 owners.. 😅😅

No doubt you are getting a very good bike in Speed 400 , but its from bajaj , we would have to wait for the real scenario , as how will they provide services, what will be the availability aspect for spare parts. And the most important factor is fuel efficiency, and easy service outlet . Then only we can say anything on this comparison. Mechanically Speed is better , looks better , but biking is much more than these two points . Hope you get the points .

checked and test rode both speed 400 n hunter. Speed is very aggressive like ktms, hunter is typical RE calm n laidback..
Also theres, 73 thousand onroad price difference in Mumbai between both. have owned dominar 400 previously am done with hyperiding which only gives u hypertension coz of raw power n insane torquen top speed.....i went with hunter...😂😂

I have books Speed 400 but I m in a delima now after seeing it alongside hunter, if speed is of same size as hunter, I doubt I will buy it. I will make my final decision after seeing it in real life. I am well built guy so it won't look good.

Firstle price difference is not 30k....its way more than that in any state. And speed 400 looks cannot match pure neo retro look of the hunter. I am a hunter owner and if I get to choose again would still go for the hunter. Speed 400 also lacks the character of the long stroke motors.
