John! I'm loving the video. I love my Whirlwind and your first video of WW inspired me to get mine! I'd never played it at the time I picked it up, but I love it! I can't wait for the next video!
Hi, Bobby! Thanks for your reply. Truth be known, there was no acid on the board. One of the tabs on the holder corroded and fell off. One of the riveted tabs that makes contact with the battery. So, yeah... my board is SUPER CLEAN! Like you! :)
That should be a Williams System 6. I am not personally familiar with the hardware but looked it up and it appears to have a battery holder on the MPU board. You really need to remove the backglass and replace those batteries if you haven't!
John's Arcade Game Reviews & Tech Thanks John having coffee and off to pick it up now will have to search videos for a video on pinball set up any key pointers you can give me on setting up a Williams machine?
I used to play this table nonstop when I was a kid... 15 years ago. I want to play it again. I want to see if I can get the super cellar bonus again :)
Damn Tapper is Loud!!! Love your videos,,thanks,,,.Some day i'll get High Speed and or Black Knight. My 2 favorite pins. Whirlwind looks cool though. If i ever get a chance to play one i will.
John, In your Stern The Simpson's Pinball Party Review Gameplay Video TSPP video, @ 1:22 , you mention that the Simpson's Pinball Party, is your favorite pinball game in the basement at that time. I don't see that game in your basement now, in this relatively recent review. Did you get rid of it?
Battery holder lost contact, eh! Didn't I tell you to pull the board and clean up the acid / cut off the old holder when you found it leaking 4 years ago? :D
Hay john whirlwind I am looking for a set of blue cards like you have on your machine pinball instruction cards Can you let me no if you make them I would like a set

That's a really cool machine. I like the fan on the top and the spinners.
That's awesome! I really am in love with the game, glad you like it too!
I just played this game in Ann Arbor!
It is crazy and every pinball machine from the era has one! It's one of the biggest killers of these games if left unchecked.
Super Cellar bonus really makes the game. It's such a cool mode!
Thanks, I'm going to check it out this weekend. Love your videos!
That's crazy they actually had a AA battery holder mounted to the PCB. I can't imagine any engineer ever thinking that would be a good idea... lol.

The right lane spinner changes what the next award will be..sort of like spinning the wheel.
And you're right my WW is my one keeper as well :)
Yeah, I did get rid of it. I really like the game and do miss it but I decided to sell it to mix things up in the arcade. :)
Love your pin reviews. Any chance you'll be going back over to your friends house to review 24?

this game is super quick and unpredictable in the lower playfield - love it
this game is super quick and unpredictable in the lower playfield to an amatuer. but mastered easily by a God - love it.
PWNED
Great vid as always!
But Tapper is too loud. Can you switch it off when you roll your videos?
Thanks! I did fix it. It was just a diode! :)
You can also start multi ball by shooting the left ramp, I think sometimes.
Yep. But hitting the ball under the ramp is the main way to get multiball.
I subscribed the crap out of this channel.
Do you want to do an RFM revisit or have you already done one?
Damn Tapper is Loud!!! Love your videos,,thanks,,,.Some day i'll get High Speed and or Black Knight. My 2 favorite pins. Whirlwind looks cool though. If i ever get a chance to play one i will.

He did.
This is so cool! I've only played this game on Wii.
Was it the Pinball Arcade?
Anthony the App Guy Yes, The William’s collection, I wanna say. Whirlwind was so fun! 🌪
I wanted that pinball machine by the way.
I'm wondering if anybody still puts batteries on their electronics directly. Hmmmmm worth checking me thinks LOL
I played this game at pinball Pete’s in Ann Arbor mi
