    Thank goodness! I was always so confused by the End marker and why it wouldn't stop playback. I thought I just was unable to find a setting or something.

      Yes, exactly. It's great that it "just works" now.

    Thanks for the overview, Lukas! That temporary MIDI cutting tool looks handy, and assigning shortcuts to macros directly from the macro editor is also super good to have!

    • @studioonetutorials
      @studioonetutorials  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, exactly. To be honest, I never used the Macro Organizer that much because I couldn't see the benefit over finding the macros in the toolbar or other places. Now it has started to become a real power tool. And I hope there are some more things that can be added...

    Great video thank you! The "Stop at end marker" feature makes me wonder why they didn't include a "Loop to start marker" feature at the same time.

    • @studioonetutorials
      @studioonetutorials  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What should this feature exactly do?

    • @joebressler9554
      @joebressler9554 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@studioonetutorials When the curser gets to the "End" marker, instead of simply stopping, it would return to the "Start' marker and continue playing. Maybe there is already a loop feature in Sutdio One, but it seems like it would make sense to have it on the End Marker menu.

      @@rano12321 Nope, but i must say that my attraction to S1 is more and more growing. One thing i do not like about Reaper is that it's feature updates don't mean much to much to me, while the feature updates of S1 are really valuable to me. S1 is becoming more and more powerfull !

      I can understand it but a macro is really just a list of Studio One actions. So you can automate steps that you often need. You can either use the many premade macros or build your own ones. Give it a try - you can always decide not to use them :)

    Kool thank you. I wonder when would they fix the midi pitch bend event( the event sometimes does not get captured in a midi recording performance, also the first beat of recording in midi gets missed sometimes as well. Really basic issues that needs to be addressed.

    I am trying to figure out how to do something that should be relatively simple. I have a drum track that I'm using but I want to put a one or two measure audible click track in before the drum track starts so that we know exactly when to start playing and I can't quite figure out how to do that. Right now when I click play the drum tracks starts immediately with no audible count in. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Hi Lukas, thanks for your excellent video as usual. Very practical nuggets of information. You mention Gregor and Joe's videos (about 6.2) I can't find any. Are they out yet, or currently maybe only available for Sphere members?

    • @studioonetutorials
      @studioonetutorials  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! Gregor & Joe videos: Yes, as I know they've done videos (I've seen Gregor's vids already) I was expecting that these videos would be published with the release of 6.2 as usual. Apparently, they were not.

    The ProEQ 3 is still not fixed! If You toggle between normal and high quality modes, adjusted bands frequencies get shifted! High quality is ok, normal mode is off. Please someone check this

    Hey Lukaz nice video. i'm new to Studio One and I have a problem. When I compared S1 with other DAW s such as cubase, REAPER, there is a big ram usage. for an example when I open an empty peoject in cubase the ram usage is around 200MB and reaper around 180MB but in Studio one there is over 500MB usage. Is that normal?

  • @effyiew7318
    @effyiew7318 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    All this is nice but they need to also improve the abysmal notation display. It makes horrible choices (Dotted quarter, dotted quarter, quarter - REALLY?!?! The programmers at presonus needs to hire an actual musician to help them learn how notation is actually written because clearly no one associated with presonus has a clue). Also a quantize for the display like Cakewalk has would be perfect. There's no reason to see a dotted 16th and a 32nd tied to a 16th when what it should be is 2 16ths. I don't want to have to quantize my midi and ruin the feel I'm going for just to see things correctly in notation display.

    Thanks Lukas. Are there any developments to sound variations, and to the score editor in version 6.2? (Those are for me by far the most critical aspects of Studio one|).

    DAMN PRESONUS WHY DIDNT YALL GIVE US THE QUICK SPLIT TOOL OPTION IN THE ARRANGE WINDOW AS WELL??? 🤷🏽🤦🏽

    • @studioonetutorials
      @studioonetutorials  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You already have the quick Split Tool in the arrangement window if you set your secondary tool (Cmd / Ctrl) to Split. Or if you have Arrow Tool and Range Tool linked, you can split by double-clicking an event. Not sure if you have checked out all these options yet. Also not sure why you use caps lock?

    Does select part automation also sync with audio files, time stretching, and/or tempo changes?

    • @studioonetutorials

      No, Part Automation means instrument track here. It's MIDI / note editing only.

    Where the hell is the drum sequencer? Have they not learned anything from FL Studio? This goes for all other major DAWS too. Add a fucking drum sequencer for crying out loud. It's 2023!
