Not this year because they are in much different cars right now with a big pace difference. If they have near equal cars an entire season then I bet it will be the greatest season of all time

We said the same thing after monaco. And we know how quickly that went out of the window. So I'll wait for 2 races before getting my hopes up for a 3 way battle for the title :D
technically though the next 2 races favour ferrari. if their upgrades have put them within 1.5 tenths of mclaren, they have a very good chance of winning baku and singapore.
Monaco is a unique type of track. It was down to the driver as Leclerc is superior.... the Ferrari wasn't that good. In Monza, Ferrari was super good and their race pace, in the hands of Charles at least, was brilliant. Sainz is of course gonna struggle to keep up now.

Leclerc isn't that far off. If Ferrari's upgrades work well in Baku and Singapore - two traditionally strong Ferrari tracks - he's got a shot. I think he needs one Norris and Verstappen DNF or very low points scoring performance. Which is possible, particularly with Verstappen and the Bulls struggling. I'm hopeful though (as a Leclerc fan, the hope is very much there!).
If Max finishes 6th or lower in the next two races, and Charles wins (charles winning both is pretty likley, Ferrari are strong at both tracks and hes a Baku merchant, and RB are very likley to struggle alot in Singapore at least) hell half the gap to Max in the standings.
Plus, Charles is probabaly the best late season driver on the grid.
He scored points in every race he wasnt taken out of from i think spa onwards in that POS sauber in 2018, including 3 p7s in a row at the final 3 races.
He got pole at practically every race in 2019
He hung on to 2nd in 2022, depsite the car being slow and on fire near the end of that season
He got loads of poles and outscored both merc drivers combined in the latter half of 2023
Next season I reckon Ferrari will be up there. They don't have the front Flexi wing yet and they look faster than red bull. That means the only cars faster have the Flexi wing.
Ferrari has performance potential to unlock for sure. This is my hopium.

In my opinion, Leclerc really took his 2022 shortcomings to heart and has now ironed out all of his major issues (he is nearly mistake free now when it counts). I truly believe he is the best driver on the grid now. Yes, better than Verstappen. Please, let him win a championship with Ferrari.

Max has been the most complete driver in F1 for a couple of years, but Charles can fight him and come out on top.
As far as I remember Lando was more than 20 points ahead of Charles last year before 2 last races and Leclerc still end up ahead in the standings at the end of the season so everything is possible
Because Charles is the superior driver. The best. Better than Max, far better than Norris. The McLaren was way better but still Charles trounced him. He did the same in 2020, when the McLaren was also very good but the Ferrari was a soapbox.
I misread that title in such a way that led me to imagining Norris and Verstappen both driving for Ferrari for the rest of the season!

Let's see. Charles himself had mentioned that they won't be pole contenders in the future till a couple of more races. He said the setup that made them competitive is mainly monza based so I won't get my hopes high if one of the drivers themselves say so.
He also said a podium in zandvoort would need a miracle. He accels in street races, I believe he can pull some stunning drives off real soon

If Ferrari’s upgrades actually work, then it only helps Max even more. Leclerc and Norris taking wins from each other and with Piastri and Sainz snagging a win or two is not ideal with the current points gap. Good for us fans though, maybe Mercedes can find form again too before season end.
Redbull is in Aston Martin mode, this is just the beginning, there will be some races in which they will struggle to get points.
Oscar, Lando and Charles will be battling for the title in abu dabi.
If max starts finishing 7th or 8th and takes just 1 DNF he might just do it
I feel like Max will have to recieve two consisntent 8th and 7th places for that to happen, and even then i'm not sure, Charles basically needs to have the season of a lifetime if he wants to win, i feel like the points gap is just too large to have him get close to max
@@fordgt5383 he needs 11 points over Max per race, in other words he needs to place ahead of him at least 4 places in each race. It is posible but very difficult, yet again a DNF from Max or simply not scoring points could be catastrophical for him, Singapor is a terrible track for Redbull and they struggled in Austin last year too.

@@AoiTodoLover Bahrain 2022 showed who is the better driver, as did 2019 and 2020. Verstappen never had a bad car in his life, yet Leclerc dragged a soapbox to 4th in qualifying and second + third in the race.
Leclerc had only 1 year experience when joining Ferrari and alreayd making Verstappen's life hard. Despite the quicker Red Bull, Leclerc was close to beating Max that year and without his bad luck he would have. He already had more poles than any other driver.... despite Merc being far quicker.

Will be a very exciting end of season for sure but I just can’t shake the feeling that max will hold on somehow. 39pts in 7 races was a big deal 62/86 in 8 + 3 sprints is gonna take it down to the wire. I think Charles’ possible campaign will help max/take pts away from norris. I imagine Piastri’s gonna get a lot flack bc I think Norris will lose by single digits, and people will forget there were many moments this szn norris fumbled those extra points himself.

For the constructors championship, yeah I could see that happen, and honestly, a 3rd place for Red Bull wouldn't be a surprise at all considering their current state.
But for the drivers championship, I think a three/four way fight would actually a blessing for Verstappen. The more that fight for it, the easier it is for him to do damage control.
If we have more papaya rules maybe Leclerc can do it, the way red bull have fallen he might have a chance even if it is unrealistic

Leclerc could easily win baku & singapore as he’s lightening fast in baku & ferrari is almost unbeatable at singapore. The monza upgrade package will show its full potential in the next races. He could go strong in mexico too or in austin. And i think he’s the favorite in vegas where he almost beat the rb20.
Carlos already said he’ll help charles as it’d wouldn’t make sense to fight him as he had to skip one race.
I think lando & oscar will start to fight soon as OP doesn’t care about lando & mclaren are too afraid to make teamorders. Piastri will create chaos & take points & wins off of lando. Redbull is falling of a cliff & wont be able to recover.

Guys let’s be real, we gotta let lando take a shot at max because I think deep down McLaren agrees with us that Oscar is next up and that he’s the one who has the mentality to actually dominate in a race winning car when prioritised. I saw it with my own eyes in Miami, McLaren had solid pace and it was an upgrade-less Oscar who goes straight at Leclerc like a veteran race winner. Us Oscar fans are cursed to sit for the rest of the year knowing that with just a bit more luck early in the year Oscar could ABSOLUTELY be stamping himself as number 1. This is Webber’s revenge tour, he knows that Piastri strikes fear into teams similarly to max where he knows his value and he doesn’t care to burn a bridge. Mark will never allow Oscar to have anything less than the biggest possible edge on his teammate within the McLaren hierarchy. My personal prediction, Oscar Piastri and George Russell will be battling at the front with Charles Leclerc for race wins in 2026 🔮 let me hear yours

IMO I believe Mclaren will use team orders on Piastri if he is in front and Lando is second, for the rest of the season, I also believe Piastri won't move over causing a rift between them, losing them the drivers' championship.

People who put Leclerc into question previously should strongly consider learning what F1 is. Cos they clearly don’t have a clue, regardless of this last Monza win.
Williams could be in the running next year for the top of the grid, Now thay are just experimenting with the design of the car and when this season finishes and next starts that’s when the weight loss will happen.

Leclerc is to far behind in the Drivers, its not mathematically impossible for him to win the Drivers, but very unlikely.
What's more interesting however is the Constructors, Ferrari are not far behind Red Bull and McLaren (only 39 behind Red Bull which isn't much in Constructors terms). While the Constructors Championship is not as prestigious as the Drivers, and while Ferrari don't necessarily need the money the Constructors provides, it would be a huge statement by Leclerc, Fred Vasseur and the team at large that Ferrari is back at the top.
If Red Bull don't improve in the upcoming races, we may be in for a McLaren vs Ferrari, Constructors battle, which to see the two old classic teams of the sport at the top again is always great to see.

You can look at Ferrari coming back as being the old order restored, but Mercedes returning to F1 and winning was the restoration of an even older order.

I have never subscribed to the view that Ferrari is F1 or that it should be winning.
The races become dreadfully boring when any team is too dominant. It's been a struggle for me to watch for over a decade now, so this topsy-turvy season is already a classic, IMHO.
