Need to discuss F1 race director getting the sack after Brazil qualifying. After the fact that he deliberately timed the calling of the red flag in Landos favor to screw Max. Damon Hill also just quit F1. They tried to stage and manipulate things to make Lando win. But the world said no. Nature said, here is the best race come back you will ever see. By Maximillion. Lets talk guys.
I think it's because the whole community is criticising Sky for biased analysis and prefers an alternate broadcaster. We can sense that bias and just overlook it, but I think that the new fans can be influenced by it.
Max gets a lot of hate and it has been also lobbed against his girlfriend and her family. Nelson Piquet got a raw deal when Mansells teammate. I still believe Nelson getting banned was down to the British media bias. Lewis could have approached it a lot differently and knowing Nelsons friendship with Niki Lauda I dont believe he meant it in a racial sense. I lost respect for Damon when he was the only person who said Sennas accident was driver error. You don't make a mistake there, there were three siimilar accidents in previous years it is very strange indeed..... All media is partisan but the British media like someone to really demonise I have seen this for years and I kept scrapbooks during the Mansell, Prost, Senna, Piquet years. Senna was not revered the way is is now in the British media and also he was singled out by the President of the FIA at the time, the way it was all reported got Senna an accusation of bringing the sport into disripute. We now know it was personal amd I feel some of what is happening now is repeating the past. Jos Verstappen is not liked and that is not Max fault either. I followed Nelson his whole career he has a dark sense of humour not a malicious ounce of nasty in him. I think Skys days are numbered F1 already has a subscription app. Thats where the money is so I see them expanding and taking over the Broadcasting rights and running the show themselves. It was quintessentially British for years now we see the gradual global Americanisation of it I prefer the way it was myself. Max is a nice guy the way he is portrayed makes him get personally attacked. The media does need to be more careful how it chooses who to pick on. I seem to pick controversial drivers so this argument is nothing new to me.
Paranoid. You think he was there only for that? Then what about his commentating years before Verstappen came on the scene? Also if he is there to hate on Max, why doesn't he stay to hate on him some more? This is the problem with paranoid conspiracy, it literally takes ZERO brainpower because all you have to do is make some mad bare-assertion about a motive, without proving anything you say. LOL
F1 should replace some of the many Britrish media people for other nationals. And forget Sky for a moment and check the F1-TV race live reporters: Sam Collins (the horror!), Will Buxton, Jolyon Palmer, David Coulthard, Alex Jaques. I do appreciate the latter 4, but they are all Brits! Sometimes we have James Hinchcliff as a refreshing non-Brit, but there should be a lot more non-Brits there.
As a Max fan that always watches f1tv i would say david alex and Hinch are usually the most fair, the will and sam are sort of trying to hide the bias but dont always succeed, and jolyons opinion is usually instantly "max should get penalty" :'D But overall they are a great team i have to say, really professional and i love sams tech knowledge.
I think most of the sky sports F1 team should get fired, their job is to be impartial, but they never hide their preferences and their resentment towards Max
Their job is to tell the truth.. which Max fans dont like 😂😂😂😂....hee is a dirty driver...and that's the truth you can fire all of skyf1 and he will still be dirty
I was a big Damon Hill fan as a kid, but his belligerence against non-British drivers over the last few years has become very awkward now. I think Hill getting bested by Schumacher in his racing days has clouded his judgement about other drivers and he sees hard racers as being too aggressive, because Hill wasn't aggressive enough in his driving days. I cannot say Damon Hill will be missed as he was pretty boring as an analyst, and if SKY could now get rid of Simon Lazenby as well, then Sky F1 will be a much better view. Lastly, if the FIA could stop Johnny Herbert being a steward and trying to take his frustrations of his own career, country bias and revenge out on other drivers then F1 would be a better place too.
Exactly my thoughts!!! The guy is showing his trauma with Schumacher. He recognises the fierce driving style of the German and projects it on Max. Its pityfull and i am glad he is gone. 25 years ago when he was a driver, i liked him but now..........
Deserved for Hill, he threw the max hating/brit bias card on the table and successfully outplayed himself showing he knows nothing about true raw talent. Looks like Max's legendary driving at interlagos humbled even sky F1 owners...
If Sky would only air in the UK there would be no problem. Broadcasting in multiple countries must have a neutral tone, unfortunately Sky's bias oozes with every single race.
Yes, there's no way for me to legally get F1 TV, so I'm stuck with Sky sports, so the least they can do as one of the English broadcasters for F1 is simply to remain neutral. But they're making it like it's a challenge.
Oh yes there would. They ban us from watching alternative commentary through F1TV, even attempting to block VPNs when we try to bypass it due to the extensive contract they have with F1. Not all of us simp for Lewis. I am interested in the sport, not the teen drama beef that Sky puts on. They can’t provide commentary worth listening to even in the UK.
This is a great point for everyone who says that the Dutch coverage is bias to Max, or the italian is bias to Ferrari. Unlike those national coverages, the rest of the world are FORCED to watch sky sports with its british bias. A global coverage should be "diversed" when it comes to nationality and be unbiased as possible.
As a Brit following F1 for many years, you have to factor in a brit bias. It's always been a factor in our media, not only in sport. Newer and younger fans should not have to hear it in their commentary and Sky are looking to the future where it should not have to be tolerated.
If I'm not mistaken, Verstappen has NEVER been (legally) overtaken on the outside. Can't think of a single example. Not in F1, nor in F3. Maybe in karting, long ago. Can't be done.

He epitomizes professionalism and you tell me if you would ever have a clue he has a son in one of the cars on track. Opinions are fine but be a professional and put your bias aside when on air
I never rated Hill as a pundit, it was always clear he had his bias towards some drivers. However, in general it's a good thing if there's a switch in pundits after a few seasons, otherwise you just hear the same opinions over and over again. Hill was a long overdue change.
Damon Hill was genuinely shit at his job, glad they are getting these bias dinosaurs off our screens, first Herbert and now Hill. Can it be Crofty, Kravitz and Lazenby next please?
Even though I didn't agree with Damon Hill, and I am a Verstappen fan, I can't agree with him getting sacked. He can have his opinion. And we just see it, so, I would have left it as is. JH is different, he is a Steward, and as a Steward he should be impartial.
Dont make out that Max is bigger than F1. Without the commentators, the racing would be nothing, they even have to report the rumors and whispers between races to keep the interest going.
Mr. Cameron that was put perfectly….F1 is a tank full of Piranha. It’s a great shame as I am being thinking that this is the same as most sports these days. Should I just keep my eyes closed and let the game go on?? And would the fans want to see an honest and sincere chap? Get in there Mr. Cameron.
At least Sky still has the very respected driver and commentator Danica Patrick. Perhaps she will supplement the broadcasts with talk of lizard people and flat-Earth theory?
I think DH is reacting salty to some drivers because he has developed a PTSD from his racing days against Schumacher. And MV is just the trigger for his flashbacks to those times gone by..
I think you're spot on, Hill was just too old to be relevant to the target audience who have only started following in the last few years. Herbert was let go a few years back, he wasn't a world champion, so that was easy. The media frenzy over British bias and accusations of casual wacism is really unhelpful and not helped by teams and the language they use. Aggressive driving will always get noticed and commented upon, whether you're British or not, Hill was accused of dangerous weaving in Spa if memory serves, Button for brake testing Alonso...
Two things can be true simultaneously. Max is the most talented driver out there. He also oversteps the limit. Just like Schumacher before him. Totally agree about keeping Damon and dropping Danica.
True. But that is not what is the problem with Hill. When Max oversteps the limit, there is no stopping Hill in his comments. When a british driver does the same, he keeps silent. That is what is the problem.

All Damon Hill had to do to win the 1996 WDC was beat his moderately talented rookie teammate. He had the only halfway decent car on the grid that year, because Adrian Newey circumnavigated the thick cockpit wall rules put in place after Ayrton Senna died in a Williams. And Charlie Whiting gave him permission, as was the norm for Charlie Whiting with anything Williams or McLaren wanted to do, particularly things that he would let nobody else attempt.
Probably because his ‘hands on knowledge’ of F1 is nearing 2 decades old… he has no clue on how modern F1 cars function, most modern street cars are probably more complicated than the F1 cars he was driving… same goes for Herbert, he and Hill are relics of a bygone era, time to make place for ex drivers to be commenting and providing insights that have actually driven a more recent F1 car.

That was Max's fault! Lewis was entitled to that corner. Max's driving standards would never have been tolerated by Charlie Whiting. If Charlie hadn't died, Max wouldn't be Champion in '21. Simple as that!

Damon Hill gone.....good riddance.
But comparing his bias with Johnny Herbert's bias is not really equal.
Johnny Herbert is a referee. A referee should never openly in the media show any bias. Herbert could take some lessons how referees in other sports behave themselves.
Hill is just a presenter.
Brits like Herbert and Hill think that some swearing is a crime when they aren’t British.

Neither had bias. They told the truth as they saw it. You aren't up to it, it seems.

Herbert's long gone from Sky Sports F1 (has also been sacked): "Sky F1 officially confirmed Herbert's departure after the 58-year-old said his goodbyes to the rest of the team on social media back in January. And, nearly three months on, Herbert has now revealed that his exit did come as a shock to him. “I didn't decide to step away,” Herbert told Mirror Sport."

Just simply look at the stats, it's not like Senna or Schumacher where you look at the amount of incidents involving him and you say "OK theres something there, but hes one of the greats". Max places his car aggressively when the championship is tight to play the mind game, but on grid average, he doesnt have any more incidents, and actually has far less crashes and spins. It's racing, we've seen worse. I sleep. Brazil was crazy exciting though!
i love how Cameron just goes live for 10-20 minutes, proceeds to speak ABSOLUTE FACTSS and then dips again without elaborating further
Will not really be missed. His over the top dislike of Max has actually become funny to me. But he just hardly ever adds any interesting insights into the world of F1. Not into tech, not into how to drive a car, not into the different tracks and venues, not into how teams operate etc.. He seems the kind of pundit we often see in football, happy to hang around, but actually too lazyto really study what is going on in the sport.
The thing is with Hill, he has the same problem as the rest of the Sky Sports team has which incredible British Bias. Good riddance and thank god its over, hope for more turnover soon

@@mspupcat53making excuses for racists. You and the piqued can eff off

Crofty needs to go never known a commentator who makes so many mistakes with names etc and waffles nonsense
So Max broke Lando and Damon in one race 😂😂
Anyway he was only there to criticise max but he can’t praise him now right so he had to go.
As a Brit following F1 for many years, you have to factor in a brit bias. It's always been a factor in our media, not only in sport. Newer and younger fans should not have to hear it in their commentary and Sky are looking to the future where it should not have to be tolerated.
I allways like the italian guy. Has good inside knowledge.
I'm sure the Dutch and Spanish media loved Lewis Hamilton 😂😂😂😂...you lot sound so stupid
I do not listen to Sky Sports often, but that is more due to Crofty than anyone. IMO he should be the one exiting. So thankful for the F1 tv!

I never rated Hill as a pundit, it was always clear he had his bias towards some drivers. However, in general it's a good thing if there's a switch in pundits after a few seasons, otherwise you just hear the same opinions over and over again. Hill was a long overdue change.

All Damon Hill had to do to win the 1996 WDC was beat his moderately talented rookie teammate. He put bumps where the thickness was to be measured while every other designed produced a car that looked like it was built around a clawfoot bathtub.
