it's usually a DQ for that type of rule infringement. That extra lap after the start is aborted is equal to leaving the pit lane while the red light is on.

Oscar was calling for a red flag too. Wow, everytime sky is rewriting facts when Max is the taking point. Red flag has never been a issue but now the spoiled brad Lando lost it is a problem.
Is Damon Hill still at the airport? 😏 Also a SERIOUS look has to be taken at having stewards of a certain country background during the season to minimize any potential chance of bias. In other sports like boxing as an example you can’t have all the judges having the same country background as the fighter. I do agree there is more nuance to this considering the many different nationalities of the F1 drivers. However having British stewards making the calls when a British driver is in contention of a title is one potential misjudgment away from a bias controversy.
Of course championship has been lost in the period from Miami. The difference was only 52 points with 19 races to go. In most of those races Lando clearly had the quicker car.
What's funny is that after Monza, the difference was 62 points. Norris then brought that down to 44 points in 5 races, only for Verstappen to completely nullify it back to 62 points in 1 race. It's literally the same points difference as 5 races ago. :p

It was an incredible drive. Max was finding grip where nobody else was. My question to sky sports is why didn’t the broadcast cover it? After about the 12th fastest lap, a competent broadcast would at some point throw it to one of the commentators and follow a lap with Max. Where was he finding speed? Too busy covering Lando begging Piastri to let him by. During the sudden McLaren emergence, we found out that a leader with a big gap to second can be covered.
@@Snaakie83 Not really, but also yes... Check Peter Windsor, can explain Maxs style in detail.. But he turns before he turns and turns... and also after :) As such.. The entire changing tyre under red discussion is just because it favoured Max this week. It is the same principle as changing tyres under a VSC or SC, that gives you an advantage too. But suddenly it is unfair and a problem. At least this red flag was pretty predictable, most drivers were mentioning the terrible conditions and even calling for a red flag. Staying out was a calculated risk. Usually, it is more luck. For example, the SC in Miami that helped Lando win was less predictable, and according to the reasoning here even more unfair. And yet, usually it is just accepted as part of racing.
Chancing tyres under Red Flag is not more unfair than changing tyres under VSC/SC - all of them gives or takes advantage for drivers. That’s also an essential thrilling element of a race.
I don’t think we need to change the rules for a red flag. George knew it was a possibility of a red flag. We wouldn’t see teams like Alpine getting two podiums. Sport isn’t always fair and it’s entertaining for fans.
The number 1 thing this weekend showed was F1 needs to look in to finding another broadcaster for its main english language programming. Sky have been embarrassingly biased for a while but theyve lost the plot completely now. Its a disgrace to call anything they do or say journalism. Its starting to really turn me off watching F1
If you want the answer to best wet weather driver you only need watch Barcelona 96! The british media always likes to bring up senna at donnington but when you get MSC lapping 5 seconds a lap quicker than anyone in absolutely torrential rain nonody comes close
No Max is not the best wet driver of all time, he is quite possibly the best F1 driver of all time. I saw his potential from his very first F1 race and regardless of the negative hype, reporters and social media comments continues to grow in depth and ability, San Paulo was possibly his most mature drive to date. ❤
This is the only Brits who says that was Max Masterclass driving and from all the drivers I didn’t hear anyone praising Max exemplary driving in this race. Another impressive thing Max did is the 17 consecutive fastest laps, for me this is unprecedented, never happened before by any driver.
It's such a non discussion on the red flag tyres change: 1) the safety element, 2) sometimes you're lucky when the SC comes out and have an advantage, 3) doing weird rules is just artificial...sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.
Senna never thought that win was special, since he was in 1 of 8 cars that had TC at the time. For example Benetton got their TC in Monaco 3 races later. Also his McLaren and the Williams (obviously) were the most advanced cars on the grid in terms of driver aids so it was really Senna vs both Williams since Michael Andretti was not good. Ayrton always said his Estoril win in 1985 was the one win that was special, since everyone had the same tools.
@@joshimura1995 can you point out where he said it wasnt? Just because one in particular was more special doesnt mean its the only one. Max´s drive was great even thought he had the best car in the rain too, still took him a lot of effort.
@@villiamvankekem3693 he definitely did. You talk like red bull was a sauber. Its a good car overall thats getting beat by mclaren on the dry now but started the season much stronger than anyone else, its still good and was indeed the best in interlagos. I expect that to be the case in the dry on at least one of the last few races.
Even ones that pitted didn’t go to wet tyres. Reason wasn’t because they hoped it would become red flagged aswell, it was because the heavy rain was too short.
FIA has to say they have to use Full wets, FIA says you may Not overtake, ect. Hammie always complayned it was his corner, Prost did the same, now Max is defending a corner and the rules should change. Lets Go back to old school Racing with gravel outside the track, all drivers Will brake in time to stay on the Track, no discusions!
Exactly. Just put gravel directly next to the track in corners and that problem will be solved. Now they all refuse to back out because they know there’s plenty of tarmac and they can then complain to the stewards they’re being pushed off the track. If there would be gravel, this wouldn’t happen.
"Is Max Verstappen the best wet weather driver of ALL-TIME?" You can definitely make a case for it. When it mattered most, Max came through in brilliant fashion to win the race in horrendeous conditions. While handing out acolades for wet driving, lets not forget Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly. Alpine's driver didn't put a foot wrong either throughout that deluge during the race. In the Cool Down Room after the race, Max said to Ocon he couldn't catch him when Ocon had the lead. It took a safety car to offer the opportunity for Max to get by Ocon. Max put on a master class of wet driving, but other drivers were with him until the track started to dry.
I used to watch f1 ons sky from the Netherlands because I liked how they present. But after what happened 2 weeks long wont be watching f1 on Sky any more Dont forget Oscar gave points to Norris. Verstappen earned his points alone.
Max is in a league of his own! Best driver since Schumacher - if not Senna! Could well be the greatest ever, but needs to finish his career first to judge that.
Piastri was also advocating how bad conditions were while being on the inters as well, so I think that balances out max and ocon also calling for it haha
Yep, yep, I agree. No changing tires under a red flag. Nor under a Safety Car. Nor under a VSC. Nor if there are yellow flags. Gotta keep it fair at all times. (Sarcasm)

Problem with wet races: the full wets are only working when it is heavy rain over a longer period. The moment the track is not soaked the full wets are so fragile they get destroyed within 4 laps. F1 needs better full wets.
Sky Sports trying their hardest to let Karun attempt to reverse their now non-existent credibility. Karun, Brundle and Bernie are the only personalities holding up this joke of a broadcaster right now.
Max is the rainmaster ... no debate Sky talking about a red flag possibly tainted his performance is hilarious ..the red flag caused his 17th spot on the grid , funny how nobdoy talks about all the things that were against him ...
Is really true that British media were not present ? Does that include SKY. If that’s true it just screams bias. And then no penalty for a false start???
With full wets there is no visability anymore because of the big waterdisplacement. Drivers ande camera's wouldn't be able to see anything anymore. Especially with the current vacuüm under the car. It just doesn't work.
Hiding from what? The penalties haven't been rescinded because Verstappen won a race. (LOL, Do you think the excitement of a win somehow makes the previous weekend go away? Use your brain)
Matt Baker is remarkably ill-informed race after race. Case in point today was the points gap before Max's victory on Sunday. Maybe he should watch a race or 2.
Up there while using intermediate tyres. Max and Schumacher had more work ethic compared to their contemporaries in regards to testing and training. Ferrar Msc with his unlimited car testing and Max doing the teams sim test driver role on top of his own hobby sim racing
This reminds me of the 2016 season interview with Kvyat, who said he was busy watching Game of Thrones in the weekend... Where Max simply stated he was sim racing...

max killed sky sports that day :)))))))
Max didn‘t only practiced in the rain when he was Young in his cart, in the Netherlands we don‘t have rain tires for carts…

Hill called Max a brilliant diver to Horner after the race.

Master class, generational.. No... LEGENDARY.. Period. As time goes on, this will go down as the greatest drive in F1 history..It is now the benchmark of which all drivers will be held against..
The most epic race in decades and these Lando /Lewis fans talk about the tire regulations under a red flag.. The red flag caused Max to qualify 17th.. And still he won the race... Whatever.. 🙄🙄🙄
Hold on lady! Many riders were asking for a red flag if anything Max was one of the least complaining about it. Check the rookies like Oscar and Oliver 🤦🏻♂️
Rookie george has begging for it
Is he the best wet weather driver of all time....I dunno.
What I do know is:
You could have asked Max in the driver's press conference after the Brazil race, but you didnt even show up because you are all VERY biased reporters who have no shame in showing it on camera.
Ayrton Senna : remember him staying out on slicks in the wet !!
Podcast sounds like a lot excuses to cover up the bias. Doesn’t help though.
karun said during the race, max has more godtier talent in his fingers then other drivers in their body. also funny to hear crofty directly say something trough it, it was around lap 67 / 68 if i am not mistaken.
Haha that was so funny!
Crofty: "Max is brilliant and i don't want to dwell on it but sometimes he does thing you don't like"
* Continues dwelling for minutes on the things he doesn't like about Max.
He was soooo mad🤣🤣🤣
yes that was so blatant again
also funny was his enthousiasm when perez spun and croft thought it was max 😂
No penalty for the 3 Leaving start line No penalty for changing tyre pressure. I bet if was Max and Redbull there be 10 sec penalty. No British in press conference it's just wrong the Sky sports team are only interested in Lewis and Lando
it's usually a DQ for that type of rule infringement. That extra lap after the start is aborted is equal to leaving the pit lane while the red light is on.
Such Biased channel…. Pointing just Alonso and Leclerc went off track but not Lewis and Lando 13:00 🙄 and then indirectly pointing Max’s masterclass to red flag and not having the guts to call out Lando for going off track twice to concede positions
No Sky reporters at the press conference.
You could have asked MAX himself
No Dutch reporters either.
THE GOAT OF GOATS
Max Verstappen
LOL. What a fantasy, you must have been born post 90s.
@zt2max Swing and miss REEETARD. Attended my first F1 race in 88 so I've seen all the modern greats.
I have watched F1 since 1978 and I agree
Back then half the field were Latifi's and Mazepins while now 80% of the drivers are really good
Oscar was calling for a red flag too. Wow, everytime sky is rewriting facts when Max is the taking point. Red flag has never been a issue but now the spoiled brad Lando lost it is a problem.
Max was also calling for a red flag if you look at his radio transcript.
If there wasnt a red flag, it would have been really embarassing if max would win.
Now landos got a nice excuse.
Is Damon Hill still at the airport? 😏
Also a SERIOUS look has to be taken at having stewards of a certain country background during the season to minimize any potential chance of bias.
😂😂
Max is the goat in the rain. He was a driver who was learning other drivers how to drive!!
Of course championship has been lost in the period from Miami. The difference was only 52 points with 19 races to go. In most of those races Lando clearly had the quicker car.
They need to cover it up mate
The McLaren was the quickest car in Brazil.
They should have won
How on earth with having the best car from Miami onwards the gap increased!
Why isn’t that a topic in the episode?!
What's funny is that after Monza, the difference was 62 points. Norris then brought that down to 44 points in 5 races, only for Verstappen to completely nullify it back to 62 points in 1 race. It's literally the same points difference as 5 races ago. :p
@@MSFP87simple that Fastest car is drive by the wrong driver imagine if it was Max or Lewis the one drive that car and Lando drive that RB20 this season will be the other way around LOL
Also Karun - Max has outscored Lando since Miami, so he'd still be winning the title without those first 5 races
😂😂 I hate British media how think such a narrow minded like when max kisses his partner, sky news anchor was saying “max gives kiss for his gf,but not for hornet “ I’m fed up….for every 10 secs noris noris noris….😂😂but fun when max mocked British media

British media are the worst in the world
@@billB101 I don't think you realize that most of the world can watch F1 only via SkyTV and F1 TV. They usually make more money this way than making a contract with foreign televisions for the streaming rights...
@@billB101🙊🙊🙊🙊
@@adriancojocaru5846 Oh I realise alright, that's why it makes it such a target for trolls. Any tiny mention of a British driver and they think it's automatically British bias, even though it's a British feed. Thing is though you can always subscribe to F1TV and watch the non Sky feed. No one is forcing anyone to watch the Sky commentary, but if you do then you have to accept that it's a British feed, because that's what it is. I honesty wish it wasn't international, it'd shut the trolls up for sure.
He was using the curbs to exit the corners with much more speed, where the others avoided touching any curbs.
He also had a new ICE nobody like to bring up.
@@Snaakie83 Not really, but also yes... Check Peter Windsor, can explain Maxs style in detail.. But he turns before he turns and turns... and also after :) As such.. Hes not putting turning, accelerating pressure etc on the tires while hes on the curbs or white lines... Eyes closed head first, cant loose!! 🤠
@@greyshepherd3456A new engine doesn't help anything whatsoever when the track is that wet but please keep on coping, it's truly entertaining
@jeanpaulceulemans9973 Having more power will ALWAYS help.
And.. cope for what? A f1 championship that I have nothing to do with?
And still not mention the red flag max got in quali?
They'll keep neutering the sport to get more Brits on the podium .
F1 live is ten times better than these frustrated Sky Clowns. Only Harry Benjamin is really good but (that's why) they don't allow him on very often
Next year piastri wont give up his position.
Mclaren managment already knows piastri is more likely to be a champion in the future then lando.
Spot on
If you want the answer to best wet weather driver you only need watch Barcelona 96! The british media always likes to bring up senna at donnington but when you get MSC lapping 5 seconds a lap quicker than anyone in absolutely torrential rain nonody comes close
Senna had traction control in Donnington Park
No Max is not the best wet driver of all time, he is quite possibly the best F1 driver of all time. I saw his potential from his very first F1 race and regardless of the negative hype, reporters and social media comments continues to grow in depth and ability, San Paulo was possibly his most mature drive to date. ❤
Next season Piastri drives circles around Norris.
This is the only Brits who says that was Max Masterclass driving and from all the drivers I didn’t hear anyone praising Max exemplary driving in this race. Another impressive thing Max did is the 17 consecutive fastest laps, for me this is unprecedented, never happened before by any driver.
Sky f1 giving Max his flowers? Am I still in a sorta fever dream?
Your in the multiverse
they're just covering their bums after all their sh*tshow and blowback they getting for it
If the argument of tire change during red flag is a problem ,imagine the outcome of races and even championship in the past.
Is changing tire pressure on the grid for 10000$ unfair?
In comparison, it's cheaper then us pumping tires for 50 cents for 2 minutes :D
Is it tire or tyre?
@@boozelala I think its a more important question than tire change under red. That is allowed
@@Obetv01 tire, am I wrong?
It's such a non discussion on the red flag tyres change: 1) the safety element, 2) sometimes you're lucky when the SC comes out and have an advantage, 3) doing weird rules is just artificial...sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.
It's a projection subject to keep talking yes. Next time Lewis or Lando needs a change and cannot just because of a fake discussion
Rumor has it, it took Skysports 5 takes to make this believable. Couple of others couldn’t cut it.
Senna at Donington Park. Max is right up there.
Also, I think Senna was running a Ford DFV.
