I just hope it’s a good ending to a good trilogy we shall see

Not a great ending to me, but a good one.

@@BoxOfChocolatez so it’s definitely last place in this trilogy ranking.

What other horror trilogies can really compete with this though ? Maybe evil dead but nothing else comes to mind

Exactly lol, Evil Dead will be the one most people probably say. Since most horror franchises have trouble nailing three in a row I guess it is impressive when it happens.

This was my favorite movie in the trilogy, almost tied with Pearl. I honestly didn't like X a whole lot for some reason despite the hype, so I was really skeptical of Maxxxine but it turned out great.
    SPOILERS AHEAD:
I actually thought it had a lot to say about some of the depravity that goes on in Hollywood. My interpretation was that Puritan ideals cause the harm that they are so desperately fighting. Maxine is pushed into a dangerous neighborhood and doing a dangerous job (sex work) because her father forced her to conform. Without his support, she goes from one repressive extreme to a culture of sex, drugs, and violence. She can be herself now, but she's not safe because censorship forces people and their taboos into dark, unregulated corners. Shame is dangerous and causes more harm than it prevents.
Love your videos! Super excited to see your take on Longlegs.

I do like the idea that her father's actions meant to stop her are actually what pushed her to bigger fame than ever. Like people trying to censor horror movies or rock music inevitably making them more popular.

I agree with you, an okay film, but the weakest in the trilogy. Can you do a spoiler review?

You hit the nail on the head perfectly. I feel that as an ending to a trilogy it falls flat but if it was a stand alone film it’d be rated more highly by me.

Thank you! Glad I'm not alone there.
