Awesome that you got to check this one out a little early brotha & congrats on the views 🙂 I haven’t seen this one yet but I’ve been seeing a lot of 3 or 3 and a half. Star reviews so I’m intrigued
From a filmmaking perspective i definitely agree. I was mixed on the story and the killer was pretty predictable I think. It’s definitely a slow burn as well. I would recommend but I didn’t fully love it.
Climax of the film was absolutely way too over the top and, frankly, dumb. What a joke the final third of this film was. Pearl is by far the best entry in this series.
@@AnthonyAPerez No, you're definitely not the only one. The climactic third of this film was just moronic. Like a Scooby Doo live action movie if it went the Winnie the Pooh Blood and Honey route or something. Just bad.
@@FazeROCCo For me personally, it was just a big, dumb, uninventive, boring shoot out. And West directed the main villain to be way over the top, with a film crew standing by and all that. It was just horrid.
Great review. I loved both X & Pearl and MaXXXine was a huge disappointment. I felt like a lot of the pacing was off and dragged, too many characters, not enough horror (some of the kills were actually good) and the ending and killer reveal was not shocking but actually pretty stupid. Mia Goth is incredible as always she’s definitely my favorite modern scream queen.
It’s definitely the least slasher of the trilogy, but there are some slasher elements. There’s one kill in particular that is very much a throwback to 80s slashers.
Looking forward to this one. On a side note, I think Kevin Bacon is in the having fun part of his career. Another reviewer mentioned he’s also in the new Beverly Hills Cop because he liked the original.
@@patriciaarodriguez6641 For sure, I agree! He’s got nothing to prove anymore. He’s just having fun these days, especially when he appeared as himself in the Guardians of the Galaxy Christmas special.
I haven't seen Psycho 3 but I'm pretty sure thats the set they go to in the trailer, would yiu recommand that I see Psycho 3 before I watch this one at all? Can't wait to see MaXXXine on Friday!
I think it’s really gonna depend on personal taste, like I said. It comes to a satisfying enough conclusion, I just wasn’t crazy about how it all ended and the lack of character development given across the board.
I’m a HUGE movie lover/fanatic and aspiring actress. I’ve already watched 20 new releases in the movie theater this year. Horror movies are my favorite movie genre, The 1980’s is my favorite era of all time, I’m an aspiring actress like the main character and I enjoyed the first two movies in this trilogy especially Pearl so Maxxxine is actually my most highly anticipated movies of the whole year!!!!! This was w good movie review. ❤❤❤❤
Thanks so much! I hope you enjoy the film! Always nice to meet a fellow film fan. I think I’m at about 51 new releases in theaters this year so far, but I’m hoping to double that before the year is up!

@@GarganoA I’m glad I’m not alone with thinking the end was just strangely over the top. Agreed, Pearl is the best of the bunch.

I actually liked the films third act I don’t get the hate on it can you please explain

Ik u might not answer this but it is true that there isn't any slashing kills cause I heard rumors that this wasn't really a Slasher film

@@AnthonyAPerez sounds similar to Thanksgiving. Cause that film didnt have enough slashing kills
@@Darkshyy I haven’t seen that one, but I heard it was pretty bloody. This one is fairly tame on the kills. There’s some gore, but not a ton.
MAXXXINE was everything I expected it to be. It's flawless

They do visit the set of Psycho, but I don’t think it’s needed to watch this.
Dope shirt!
Brad Pitt Did Not Kill Hitler ! He was kidnapped, and his buddies killed Hitler. One of favorite Tarantino movie (behind Kill Bill).
Did I mention Brad Pitt here? 😂 I can’t remember
The finale was looney toons cringe. Biggest disappointment of 2024 so far
@@bruh_hahaha I’m glad I’m not alone about the ending 😂
I was expecting more
I heard that it really stuck the landing & rounded out the trilogy

I cannot wait to see this one. Disappointing that it’s the worst of the franchise but I’ve got my fingers crossed that I’ll enjoy it.
