props for having INTRUDERS aka SHUT IN on this list. it's a pretty good movie that got lost in a couple of movies named intruders a few years after it's release.
Okay, shitting on the original Evil Dead trilogy and trying to claim that the remake "breathed life" back into the series is one of the most insulting things I've ever heard and destroys any credibility this commentator could claim.
I agree with the host. I say the OG Evil Dead is trash compared to the 2013 remake. The group of friends in the remake actually had a legitimate AND noble reason to be at the cabin, instead of just partying like idiot horny teens. The practical effects were superior also, and Mia is a far better protagonist than Ash could ever hope to be.
1) theyre woke 2) theyre british 3) theyre homosexuals that right there should tell you they are contrarians to be contrarian. Seriosuly just go watch ANY of their wrestling takes. They have BLM at the top of their videos still, they HATE kane and hulk hogan, and they LOVE girl power and feminism. So it makes sense to hate Ash and LOVE Mia
The OG Evil Dead is a triumph of independent filming making with no money. It's an inspiring film in a meta sense and a recognised ground breaker for the genre. 2013 ED is inherently derivative. It doesn't exist with the original and brings nothing new to the table other than hyper gore and louder music. This is a travesty of a take.
Talking up the quality of a movies effects that was made 30 years later with 45 times the budget, is now a much stronger candidate for bad take of the year. Congratulations.
When Freddy Harris is dressed as Michael Myers and he's yelling at the real Michael to get his ass back to the garage it made me chuckle, but when Michael tilts his head for a second then walks away as if he's actually gonna do that 🤣🤣🤣 I was in tears laughing 🤣🤣🤣, Michael was probably thinking "what the hell?, what is happening right now?, why am I yelling at me and how is that possible?"🤣🤣🤣
Please explain how you came to the conclusion that the brother in Intruders was a deadbeat when he was on his death bed dying from cancer. Unless you're calling cancer patients deadbeats which in itself would be wrong also.
The first movie that came to my mind was Monster Party. A trio of petty crooks are set up to slip away with a bunch of cash from a rich family's home during a large elegant dinner party the family is hosting. All the guests are members of the same 12-step recovery group for addicts as the homeowners. The thieves find out too late that the support group is for recovering serial killers. 😅 Also, I'm kind of surprised he didn’t mention that Last House on the Left is heavily inspired by (and essentially the same story as) the older Swedish film Virgin Spring (from Ingmar Bergman, I think?), with the violence dialed up to 11. That film is itself based on a medieval swedish legend (I think dating back to around the 11th or 12th century or so?). The two films take very different approaches to telling what is fundamentally the same basic story. I think it's fascinating how the two directors created such utterly distinct works from the same source material.
How can you put Halloween Resurrection on this list, when Michael Myers was not a victim any more than any other slasher villain that ends up getting defeated, but you didn't include The People Under the Stairs? That was the first movie that popped into my head when I heard the title of the video.
Intruders was a great movie: ** spoil alert** the scene where she couldn't bring herself to run out of the house because of her phobia was wild! That kid got what he deserved for ratting on her.
US as a home invasion movie? It’s sort of a flimsy choice Edit: Correction: Coherence is worse choice. It’s absolutely not a home invasion movie. Spoiler-free reason: it’s their own home…..
In that first entry, you say the brother is a serial killer, but you leave out the part where he kills rapists and only once theyve shown that theyre going to rape his sister. Their dad created the room for them to punish them, they didnt create it to kill people. The girl was traumatized so the brother would go out and bring men home and if they tried to rape his soster they killed them. O even think they gave them a chance to live if im not mistaken, theyd just not take it. Its been a bit but they werent as horrible as you thought the whole time i do remember that much.
The collector probably shouldn't be on this list at all cus there's 2 invaders one of which is the main character and isn't a victim until the end and the other one is the collector (the bad guy) and the family who lived in the house pretty much ended up being the victim not the invader
WAIT...... how are you going to have a video on this topic, and not mention MARTYRS, and more importantly, 2007'S À l'intérieur aka INSIDE.? i mean, it even has a movie on this list with the same name!!! i know they're on a ton of the lists you've made, cos they're french extreme and horror classics, but still....
now all I want is a Home Alone horror remake
It's not horrifying enough?! It's basically Saw Jr.!
Yes 😅 instead of these Disney/Cartoon character spin off horror movies
The Collector!
@@Ferrindel And the Collection, both great and underated
Check out Becky it’s basically horror home alone. And Kevin James plays the main villain good times.
The People Under The Stairs should be on this list
Love that movie.
I agree it's a classic
That’s the only reason I clicked on this video…..now I don’t have to finish watching it anymore
I second that.
100%.
props for having INTRUDERS aka SHUT IN on this list. it's a pretty good movie that got lost in a couple of movies named intruders a few years after it's release.
I knew Don't Breathe would be on here
They weren’t necessarily victims
Honestly, you're not wrong about the unevenness of the Evil Dead movies, but they're a blast and a half anyway.
Someone else FINALLY understands how perfect Busta Rhymes is as Freddie in Halloween Resurrection.
He's the best thing about it 😂
Youre next was an excellent film, really twisted the whole home invasion trope on its head
Have you seen _The Perfect Host (2010)_ staring David Hyde Pierce?
Val (2021) -the horror one, not the documentary, is a perfect example and is a wild ride. I highly enjoyed it.
The collecter one and 2 is SOOO good.
Coherence is an absolutely brilliant film which needs more exposure
Okay, shitting on the original Evil Dead trilogy and trying to claim that the remake "breathed life" back into the series is one of the most insulting things I've ever heard and destroys any credibility this commentator could claim.
It's rage bait for engagement, same as when they mispronounce words in lists on purpose
The second I saw this I knew Don't breathe would be on here
Needlessly shooting on the original Evil Dead flicks for no reason at all. What a twat move.
Hating on the original Evil Dead trilogy is one hell of a contender for bad take of the year. Way to start the new year strong.

Okay now bring a real argument to the table.
I like to see more home invasion horrors with fourth wall breaking like Funny Games.
The Collector is one of the most underrated horror movies out there, and has a fun sequel.
No People Under the Stairs?
The People Under the Stairs

Panic Room really should be a consideration. Thanks for the list!
Villains is a pretty great movie. It’s free right now on yt if you want to check it out.
Please explain how you came to the conclusion that the brother in Intruders was a deadbeat when he was on his death bed dying from cancer.
Unless you're calling cancer patients deadbeats which in itself would be wrong also.
I’m good as long as I have “fruit, water, and furniture”

Last house. They are invited in. They aren't intruders.
I’ll have to check out Villains, but initially I thought you were covering Barbarian. BSkars also stars in it.
Intruders was a great movie: ** spoil alert** the scene where she couldn't bring herself to run out of the house because of her phobia was wild! That kid got what he deserved for ratting on her.
Cool idea for a list

go back and watch US. the first part of it is absolutely a home invasion. it's not even debatable. they even tie everyone up and threaten them.
Theres an element of this in phantasm 3...with those 3 zombie dudes
All of these movies don't hold a candle to Home Alone and The Ref.
3 ninja kids, people under the stairs and italian horror movie Prince of terror

The collector was amazing. Should have been a franchise but second movie was not it.
"Dead beat brother?" he had cancer.
You could put Busta Rhymes in basically anything and I'd watch it.
Spartan trappings of the ultra-wealthy? Like the Spartan trappings of Mar-a-Lago? 😅😅😅
Villians is a pretty good movie
How is "the owners" not on this list? Maisie Williams movie from 2020

Truly Trapped situations
What about Texas chainsaw massacre?
people under the stairs ?

irish and no mention of Bad Samaritan 😂
☝️Best Robert Sheehan movie thus far
Bad Samaritan was fantastic
Sorry that Halloween was the worst by far
Overhyped?
Good list 👏
These modern lists suck
